Disney Fantasy ~ October 4, 2014 ~ Eastern Caribbean

Hello everyone!!! We are getting very excited for the upcoming cruise! This will be our 3rd cruise on DCL but our first on the Fantasy!! Our last cruise was 7 years ago so we are way overdue!!

We will be in 6108 and will have:

Me- Shalley
Hubby- Ray
Daughter- 11 year old Sydney
and we are really hoping Grandma- Faye (she will have to decide by July 1)

We've been counting down for a few months now and I'm getting excited about the 199 day mark--with Spring Break, summer and the beginning of middle school.....time will fly by and it will be time for Fall Break--October cruise!!

My daughter is so excited. She is also 11 and also named Sydney! She is excited to try out the older club this time. Hopefully, they will hit it off and have a buddy to hang out with in the Edge.

My family will be on the Oct 4 Fantasy cruise to the Caribbean and we'd like to join the FE fun! This is our second cruise and I didn't know about FE on our first trip but my friends tell me it is a lot of fun.

We booked this trip because we really need a vacation...and then after I booked it, I realized that our anniversary falls during the cruise! so this trip will also be a celebration of our 7 year anniversary.

So I have a few questions:

I would like to join the fish extender group but I don't have a facebook anymore... is it still possible to join?

As well as how do the gifts work? My Boyfriend and I were wondering if we have to do separate gifts or if we can do a gift from the both of us... as well as how many people are typically in a group?

and does anyone have any information on how i can go about making an actual fish extender that hangs? we are so new to this and its a little confusing but sounds really fun!

Also- I read somewhere that theres usually 20-30 people in a group so is 20-30 families so a gift for many more people than that or 20-30 people including all family members? and is it one gift per person/one gift per family? im so confused!

Hello! Yes, you can join the FE without being on Facebook. Either list your info here, or you can PM me. I just need your first names and gender of everyone in your group, cabin number.

As of now we have 46 families signed up...178 total people, 97 adults and 81 kids. I expect more people will join the group and some will drop out or switch cruise dates, so we won't finalize the list until August. I'm hoping to have 15-25 cabins in each group, so we will end up splitting our group into multiple groups.

How you give gifts is totally up to you! Some people give out one gift per cabin, others give out one per person, or one for the adults/one for kids, etc. The gifts can be store bought, home-made, Disney-related, home state related, just about anything! On our first cruise, we gave out customized pens with our cruise name and date. On our second cruise, we gave out customized notepads for the adults and candy for the kids. On our last cruise, we gave our Mickey cookie cutters with a recipe for the adults and Princess/Avenger toys for the kids (from the Dollar store). You and your boyfriend would give out one set of gifts from the two of you, usually.

I ordered our FE off of Ebay, so I'm no help in how to make one. Hopefully someone can chime in.

Yay!! I saw your post earlier in this thread and tried to PM you. (I saw you had a 11yo daughter).....I'm new on here and haven't posted enough to be able to do so!! I just told my Syd and that makes her even more excited to try the new club and meet new friends!!

Don't quote me: but I believe for the beer exchange each participant brings a six pack of locally brewed or favorite brew to exchange with other members who are also participating.

You can make arrangements ahead of time with DCL for a private Mixology class if there are enough people willing to participate ... our first group on the B2B had arranged one but in the end I had to opt out as it conflicted with another event we were participating in ... apparently it is a lot of fun ...
