Disney Fantasy ~ October 4, 2014 ~ Eastern Caribbean

Ack!!! I forgot to log onto DIS this morning....

Welcome to another Friday everyone!!!

Only 28 more Fridays to go! It's coming faster now...

:banana::banana:

This is kind of a random post. We went to Disneyland yesterday. We got the annual pass this year so I'm trying to go once a month to make sure we get our money's worth! The line to see the Frozen Princesses is always 2 hours plus, no matter what time you get to the park! It is crazy. My daughter always asks to see "Frozen" when we go to Disneyland and every time, I have to tell her that the line is too long. there is NO way I am waiting 2 hours for anything at Disneyland...

anyway, I read a cruise report for a Fantasy Eastern Carib cruise in Feb and she said that Anna was one of the character meet and greets on the cruise! and the wait was only 15 minutes. :) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that both Anna and Elsa will be on our Fantasy cruise in Oct!

When we were on the B2B aboard the Fantasy, there was a Princess Gathering scheduled in the Lobby Atrium @ 1pm on the first Sea Day of the Cruise. You could get individual photos with each Disney Princess :thumbsup2

So I'm pretty excited to announce that I have finally seen Frozen for my first time this past weekend! I feel like I am the last person to watch it. I, too, have heard that Anna is on the cruise but I hope Elsa is as well.

I am getting so excited for the cruise. Does anyone else go on youtube and watch a ton of disney cruise videos before the cruise?

~~Welcome Aboard~~

We finally got to watch it last Friday...so if you are last, it's not by much! :happytv:

I like to watch youtube videos. I search for them a lot it seems.:)

Hi everyone! So, I have been booked for a bit, but I have just been so busy with other things that I haven't been able to start looking at the cruise. This will be mine and my future husband's first cruise. We will be married in September (hence the being busy) and this will be our honeymoon. Any tips to give us? Anything that we should do? I love Disney and heard that we should decorate our cabin door (if this is so I have a cute idea that reflects us!). Any/all help will be appreciated!!!

Welcome Aboard and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We are glad you will be joining us. A good portion of this group are veteran Disney Cruisers and they are a wealth of information and will be able to offer you great advice. (This will be our family's first Disney Cruise too)

There are Dis~igners here on the boards that will take requests for personalized graphics and Facebook groups that offer free graphics for your personal use. You can take the graphics and print out on magnet sheets or laminate and add magnets. (use of tape or other adhesives on the doors are prohibited)

Are you familiar with the Fish Extender Exchange?

If you are on Facebook; a group for this sailing has been set up there as well.

Thank you so much! I sent a message and when I get home will dive into all the information!! Can't wait!!!

Okay! I am now on The Facebook group and asked to join FE. I am super excited about this cruise! Jim and I both agree that we would like to know a bit more of the land excursions as well. Since a lot of you cruisers are veterans, can you either recommend it suggest what to do with our port time? I have been trying to gather a lot of information before we decide. Thank you so much!!!

I like Tripadvisor for tour reviews.
The suggestion that was given to us on our first (non Disney) cruise was to have somewhat of a plan based on what interests you about the port.
We did not follow that advice and sort of wandered around our first stop and we missed out on some highlights that we now wish we had seen.:rolleyes2

Guess we will have to book another trip to go back...bummer :goodvibes

Welcome everyone ...

Here is a link that gives a brief description of the shore excursions that are available ...

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruises-destinations/shore-excursions/

There are so many things you can do on your own (which is usually less expensive) instead of taking a ship-based shore excursion ... just keep in mind that YOU are responsible for getting back to the ship on time before it departs ... there was one cruise we were on that as the ship was pulling away, a group of people were running down the dock waving frantically ... :(

Usually when we hit an island for the first time we take a general tour offered by the ship or get together with a small group and hire a taxi to give us the general tour which costs less than everyone taking the ship's offerings ...

My sister and I will be on this cruise. We will be celebrating my sisters 30th B-day!!! Very excited for our 2nd Disney cruise. Oct 4th can't come soon enough for me!!
