Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean December 14 2013

Hello all!

We booked the Dec 14, 2013 cruise on the Fantasy while we were onboard the Wonder's two week cruise to Hawaii last month. That cruise was, of course, fantastic.

This will be our 7th Disney cruise and our third to the eastern Caribbean. We love that itinerary, especially the opportunity to hop over to St. John and its wonderful beaches.

This will be our first time on the Fantasy. I love the older ships and have some reservations about the number of passengers on the Fantasy, but I'm confident that the same Disney atmosphere will make it alright. Another first for us on this cruise - we have booked a verandah cabin.

We are Larry, Janee (DW), and Marcus (DS, 22). We are already looking forward to this cruise and to participating in many of the activities arranged online.

I soooooo wish they would hurry up and announce the 2014 itineraries already!!!! Not because I want to jumo ship, but because of all the dummy date cruises that I know people have booked for our cruise date.

My cousin wants to book this cruise, but the only thing left are verandas and it will cost her $5500.00 to go. Once people move their dummy dates I am sure (atleast I hope) some inside cabins will open up.

Need help - I tried finding the Mickey Magnetic Ears with The Santa hat in full printable size. If you could direct me on where to find this in full size to print. Replacing old Disney door magnetic. I know....we still have quite some time until we cruise But we are almost at the one year mark. lol

I bought the girls the Minnie santa hat. They are really cute

Well, got back a few days ago from Aulani. The end of a great vacation is always so difficult. You know, as amazing as it was and as excited as I am to go back in a few years, I found myself missing some things that cruising makes possible. You know, eating good food at any hour of the day that's already prepaid so you don't pay more to have more food (I have a huge stack of receipts and we spent a lot of time finding, driving to and from, and eating at a variety of restaurants). Having your room cleaned twice a day with turn down service. Not having to drive anywhere. Getting to see several places that are all unique. Having entertainment options for adults. As you can see, I am already back to crushing hard on this upcoming cruise!!

On the flight to Hawaii, we had a really fussy baby somewhere behind us, cried off and on the whole 5 1/5 hours. I was like, yeah, we're not bringing our baby on a long flight. But on the way home, there were several babies/toddlers and we barely heard a peep from any of them. And I was thinking, I could do this. So hard to decide! I think I will just have to meet my son and get to know him first before deciding how he'll handle a trip like that.

Well off to take my kids to church groups and go over details of our cruise in Feb with our friends. We feel we might have wanted to think about air better. Considering our layover is in the Windy City and we are starting to worry about delays and missing our flight and not making to the ship...boy I hope the worry is pointless nonsence...LOL

We got some good news last night; the two couples we met on board our last cruise (our table mates) are booking/have booked this cruise, too! Fortunately, this has made my DH finally admit, yes, we're going on this cruise. I have made the executive decision that little 8 month old Ian will be joining us. Sadly, I can't seem to add him to my reservation online. Really hoping that once the 2014 itineraries open on the 6th, a lot of dummy bookings will leave, allowing me to add him.

We're also probably going to WDW for a few days before the cruise. Ever since joining DVC, I've been dying to stay at the Animal Kingdom Villas (savanna view, of course!) And I haven't been since 2008, and I am so ready to check out everything new and everything I missed the first time. Possibly going to MVMCP.

Anyway, super excited it's all coming together! 375 days left!

Aymekae~That's great news about your friends joining you. I am also hoping that people will switch their dummy date cruises so my cousin can book. Although the itineraries that have opened up so far dont look very enticing to me...but I digress. LOL
