Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean December 14 2013

I booked this cruise but didn't want to introduce myself or get involved until my hubby agreed to the trip. Finally I was able to convince him to do the right thing! :yay:

Myself, my DH and my three little troublemakers (2 DD 8, 11 and on 1 DS 12) will be cruising.

Would love to get involved in the FE. How do I go about doing that?

Are there any fun other activities put together yet? Such as candy exchange? Magnet exchange?

Planning helps the time to pass!:santa:

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Stacey
Welcome Stacey!! Like Robin said in my signature is a link to the website and there is a join us form on there. Once filled out I will add ya to our webpage. Feel free to send a pic to me and I can add you to the webpage. Norma, Robin and I found that seeing pics of each other prior to our 2009 cruise made us feel like we already knew each other when we met at the port. Also nice to show the kids so they recognize each other. Also we have a FB page. U will find lots of info on the Webpage and videos, pics, meets etc

Sorry to hear Sandy has done some damage. I hope they fix it with no hassles. I know what is like to fight with contractors to get them to fix something THEY have messed up!!!! Good Luck with that!

Thanks, Norma. :goodvibes I actually feel sick over it, but somehow it will work out. It will mean more $$$ to have it done properly, but the guy is trying to work with us on it. I had just hoped it would be all done but it looks like we will have to wait until Spring for the remedy. :headache: Just wish I felt better about it -- I feel like we got taken slightly. Not thrown under the bus, taken, but maybe thrown under a small SUV. :sad2:

I am so sorry to hear your home was damaged. I feel like I missed out on a lot of the news from Sandy (between the Dream and WDW). Now I feel like a jerk for talking to you about how rough the seas were during the storm. I have a lot of experience recovering after hurricanes thanks to being a Florida resident and I hope the repairs go by swiftly and that everything returns to normal quickly.

For parking I will either do a park and cruise type option though a local hotel (did that the first time) or will use cruise parking of port canaveral (did that last time). We don't park at the port itself simply since the cost is so much lower to use one of the other options. But we drive our car to the port rather than flying and renting. Or paying for Disney transportation.

Speaking of the kids clubs, it amazes me how much the kids love going into it. On our last cruise my kids wanted to skip fireworks, shows, and pirate parties to hang out in the kids club. For our first cruise they explored a lot with us and didn't really discover the kids club until the end. So they made up for it on our last sailing.

:goodvibes DON'T BE SILLY!!!!! We just had some roof damage -- nothing at all like what other areas of the East Coast went through. And not like being out in the water in the middle of it!!! And honestly, if these guys had done their job right on the flat section, it's wouldn't have even been an issue!!!!:furious: Trying to let it go and move on.

But it has been really nice to hang out more on the boards today --- kept my mind off all the banging (they were fixing the slanted sections today) and walking on ice I had to do with them!!! So thanks to you guys for making me think of things like ----- the CRUISE!!!!!! :woohoo:

Just heard from two more friends we met on our last cruise. They embarked on another cruise today, and said they were planning on booking this cruise on board! I think it's quite amazing that the 6 people we became closest with on our first cruise will be with us on our next one! I still can't convince the majority of my family that a cruise is awesome, much less a Disney cruise. Thank Mickey for friends. pixiedust:

I think life is about to get a little crazy for me. I am 28 weeks pregnant today, so about 12 more weeks to go. May be moving to a new house soon (waiting on the seller's short sale to be approved), and will be training my replacement at work next month, not to mention going to several evening classes next month for getting ready to be a mom. Glad to have an upcoming vacation to plan and get excited over. I'm getting impatient to book our flights... apparently, they don't post schedules till 11 months before the flight? So a few more weeks before they will start appearing.

That is awesome about your friends!!!

I was thinking about you and your pregnancy the other day. Did I read right that you decided to leave the baby at home? A friend who was considering coming with us is just found out she is pregnant and since she's due in August, she's decided against it. Although I'm bummed, there's always next time!!! Anyhoo, I was thinking of you when I was speaking with her. Hope you are feeling well!!!!!

It made me laugh after such a nutso day yesterday!!!

Enjoy.....

Ok funny. I was ready to comment and darn thread was closed. So here is mine.

Maybe I will have my mature 12 year old old hold a spot for my 20 person family reunions group in princess gathering line, then the 19 others show up 5mins before we are next in line. Then we will have each person get a pic with each princess as well as group shots. Cause ya know we paid for this vacay.

Bummer. I figured they would close it, as you could see where it was headed. But it was funny while it lasted.

And love your addition! :rotfl:

I am at work and I should be doing paperwork, but it is Friday and I have hit the point of no return! I will not be able to concentrate for the rest of the day, so I guess I will be lurking around on the dis.:)

Important day today - 11 months from now we will have landed in Orlando and after clearing immigration we will now be on our way to our hotel for two nights before the cruise. :cool1:

I know it's 11 months but after all this time it is more of a reality.

Can't wait!

On the quesionaire you answered recently...I didn't see Brian , Amie and Kelly listed...are they coming and if so participating in anything that I would need their info. Also you just answered the FE as yes nothing else,....I am assuming that is all the same ...yes to Pink ladies of course since you are in charge and yes to ornament exchange???

Hello,
Sorry it took me a while to answer, I don't check in as often as I should! Our family plans have changed, so I needed to ask you how to make changes on the website anyway. Graham and I will be in one stateroom with Donnie and Dylan. We will be participating with the FE program and the ornament exchange, and I will most def do the pink party.
My son Brian (25), and nephew Christopher (35) will be in another cabin. My mom and sister Linda will share a third cabin, and my daugther Kelly ( 23) and her fincee Brandon(28) will share a fourth cabin. We will no longer be celebrating my graduation, as school is delayed for me right now. We will be celebrating Dylan, Donnie Christopher and Brandon's first cruise though.

There is a champage tasting at the Oh La La lounge the second day of the cruise. would you ladies like to make that the pink party place and time? That way those who choose to imbibe may do so, and there is a bar for other selections as well.
How many ladies on here are planning to go so far?

I would do that tasting.:)

Anyone interested in a meet up to do the mixology class? Not that I have even looked at any navigators to see when it will be. Our group from the October cruise had an amazing time doing that class on the Dream. I felt like we got to bond a lot more during this than our quick meet and greet.

Even if there are no takers from here I will plan on going to it. Which makes me sound like a lush but I will be celebrating my graduate degree and will be alcohol free (thanks to a recent surgery) until our cruise. So I imagine one class worth and it will be nap time for me. Lol.

I wonder how many people can go to the champagne testing because we might have too many to go to the Disney one. Our mixology class only had spaces for maybe 15 of us.

Oh sorry and meant to say this sounds good to me. I don't know how large Oh La La is but a champagne bar sounds like a great place to meet for the pink ladies.

Oh and I did check the navigators. There are two different mixology classes offered on the Fantasy. One on day three and another on day six. So if anyone does want to meet for one I guess it will either be a coincidence or we will need to narrow it down.

I would love to mixology , Lianne. I know my mom, sis & Brian wanted to do at least one tasting. We did tequila on the last one (on my moms 60th) and it was a blast. Are both of those at sea days? The only thing I totally hope to schedule as soon as I can is a couples spa appointment. It's a splurge, but that'll be my gift to Brian for his birthday. I don't know if they book up fast, but I hope to do that one of the first two at sea days.

Man it seems funny to be planning days so far in advance, but FUN too!!!!!!!

So all this babble is to say I'd totally love to do it! We have to wait until we board to sign up, right?

Cristy-- as for updating the web page, I handle that. You just have to give me the info. I have you and Graham and the boys on the roster for the fe and such. Are the others participating in anything..FE, etc? If not then I really don't need the info.

If you look on the webpage I have a running list of the Pink ladies going! Almost anything u need is on the webpage!
