Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean December 14 2013

Hey all...hope you had a good weekend. I have been looking over our FE list and we have 25 staterooms so far. I feel that 30-35 staterooms is quite doable. I have had 42 staterooms before and it works nice, seems that there were always things showing up in my FE.:goodvibes Come July we will see how many we have at that point and if we have over 45 I will divide into 2 seperate lists. Then as people come in , I will alternate adding them to a list. Hope this works for everyone.

A lot of people ask our creative DISigners to design a graphic and then they print it and iron it on shirts.

Thanks, Michelle! I totally forgot about that!! Oh, man....that means I'm going to have to spend some time looking through those threads. Which means productivity around here just took a huge hit..... :sad2:

I was looking at Palo's menu online and everything looks so good. I think I want to book both the brunch and dinner when the booking window opens up:goodvibes
Silly question...but can you order more than one dinner off the menu? What if you wanted to try to or 3 different meals? Not saying I could eat that much, but do they allow you to do that?

Yum!!!! :)

Yes ma'am you can order multiple things. They can also make an entree course and appetizer size. I loved the breads in Palo but that was it. I think I read too much in advance it was overhyped to me. I only did dinner though and am hoping to do brunch on this sailing.

So if you have a fussy husband (no veggies) would Palo or Remy be a waste? I really want to try either one and it will be our anniversary on the boat so I thought that might be nice! It sounds like if he doesn't like something he orders there is more to order and try though? After 14 years I do love him but he can be a thorn in my side sometimes LOL
And the Mickey Bar picture....YUM!! I hope they have them on the boat! I can't wait to sail!!!

I bet you would like the brunch. I googled "disney palo brunch" and a site popped up with some awesome pics. Everything looked really good. It looks like brunch is more buffett style. I just love food, so there are very few things that I wont eat:laughing:

Refresh my memory though...the $20 fee does include the price of the meal right? Or do you pay for the meal too? I have eaten dinner there, but it was back in 2009, so I do forget.

$20 is the cost to eat there and it includes all the food you want to order. I had a good time dining there but I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. I think I just read so much about it in advance that i was expecting more. I liked the server, loved the bread, and he brought me a free drink as a part of dessert as a lot of our cruising group had got done taking the mixology class together. So I thought that was cool. My favorite part of eating there was the fact my server mentioned my previous assistant server from our last cruise (I had a request for her on our reservation). He let me know that she was working on our cruise in Remy which is why I ended up having brunch at Remy. We even were allowed to bring the kids up to Remy before it opened for the day so she could see and play with my kids. We were on cloud nine seeing our server again because she was so sweet the first time around.

The Mickey bar looks wonderful. :) I believe brunch is a combination because it has the buffet type menu but there is also a menu to order off of as well. Now I have only read about it and seen pictures too. My only experience there was dinner.

I think it just depends on what he will eat. I think you would do fine it is just no veggies. It is a romantic location and I felt weird dining alone there.

I just ordered what the server recommended and left it at that. I would say look over the menu online with him to see if there is anything he would like. Since you can order as much as you want, I wouldn't be too nervous. If you think he might would prefer you could always do the brunch so he can pick and choose rather than having the fixed plates.

Regarding Palo brunch and dinner with a picky husband:

He was bored during the buffet part of the brunch because there was almost nothing he would eat. Everything was too fancy for him. But he ended up eating 2 chicken parmigiana entrees and he still refers to that meal as being one of the best ever. He wants to do that again.

I knew dinner would be tougher, but figured sinced there was a steak option, he should be good. We were both underwhelmed though. I agree with Lianne... I may have over-hyped it for myself, because the chocolate souffle (for one example) was not the piece of heaven I had been led to believe. Oh, and when he asked if he could have the chicken parmigiana instead that he had at brunch, our server was really apologetic. He did say that if we told them in advance, it could have been prepared for him, no problem. But I didn't find the cost worth it for me, so why not just do brunch, right?

For ourselves, we will do Palo brunch on this cruise (maybe more than once if I can get away with it), skip dinner, and skip Remy.

I know it is way early, but I was in Hobby Lobby the other day and I picked up my pink boa for our Pink Champagne/drink meet. It is the lighter pink one. Not hot pink. But my 6 year old is "eyeballing it".,so she may steal it on me. LOL
Hope everyone has a great day :)

I'm one of those rare people not on facebook so I know I'm missing out on getting to know everyone! Anyone on twitter?

Sophie cant wait for the cruise. She sees all the things that I am getting and she keeps asking if we are going soon (I wish). She loves going to the kids club. I had a hard time getting her to leave when it was time. Will your daughter go to the clubs? If so, I will tell Sophie that she will have a new little friend to play with:goodvibes

Because we were talking about Palo, I was trying to figure out what evening I would want to do dinner. I came across a thread where someone posted the dining rotation for their upcoming March cruise. I cant imagine the rotation will change that much.

Looking at this, I would personally do the San Juan night since it is a regular entertainer. You aren't missing something like Pirates night or any of the shows. Although I suppose you could ignore that advice if you were planning on skipping a show or two that you have already seen.

I did Palo on formal night last time. The kids were in the kids club and I went to Palo during our normal dining time. So I could have still went to a show had I been so inclined (figured I just saw the same shows months before so I didn't actually end up attending any) plus depending on how fast you go, Palo could take a while.

As far as the twitter question, I am not active over there at all. I don't think the Facebook page is too hopping at this time either though. So I wouldn't worry about missing out on anything. The forum over here certainly moves faster. :thumbsup2

I wouldn't want to miss formal night with my kids... I love dressing up as a family and getting pics. I would just go to dinner with them and make a LATE Palo ressie. Robin our kids are old enough to take the younger kids to dinner themselves if we missed dinner at all. If I missed dinner with them I would choose later in the cruise when our servers have gotten to know them well and will take care of them without us there.
