Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean December 14 2013

Look page 41--- ok here is a challange for all of u. I leave for vacay in 28 days....I bet you all can't chat it up for 5 pages worth by then....anyone up for the challange!!!???

Looking at this, I would personally do the San Juan night since it is a regular entertainer. You aren't missing something like Pirates night or any of the shows. Although I suppose you could ignore that advice if you were planning on skipping a show or two that you have already seen.
I was thinking the same thing Lianne. I would probably just skip the entertainer. I dont want to miss any of the other shows. We will see if this rotation stays the same for our cruise:)

As far as the twitter question, I am not active over there at all. I don't think the Facebook page is too hopping at this time either though. So I wouldn't worry about missing out on anything. The forum over here certainly moves faster. :thumbsup2

I dont Twitter either. I cant figure out how to use it:confused: But our facebook page doesnt move that quickly either. So you're really not missing anything.

I'm one of those rare people not on facebook so I know I'm missing out on getting to know everyone! Anyone on twitter?

Not really....someone has muzzled our group here and they aren't very chatty.... just waiting for them to become fun!!!

Disney diva- yes!! Alana loves the kids clubs!! And our three year old Lyla wasn't old enough to go in the club our last cruise and cried every time we dropped Alana off. So I'm happy for her that she will be able to join too!

I downloaded the disboards app so now I'll be more likely to check this often!

That is what I am using right now too. It took me a while to remember my password. But now that I have it, I keep getting notifications through the app.

I have the app too. Makes it easier to keep up. Will come in handy when it starts Rollin on this thread!!!

Because we were talking about Palo, I was trying to figure out what evening I would want to do dinner. I came across a thread where someone posted the dining rotation for their upcoming March cruise. I cant imagine the rotation will change that much.

I was trying to decide what night to do Palo too. I'm thinking one of the first three since the menus seem similar to what they served on the dream 4 night. I originally thought about pirate night since its my hubby's birthday, but we really enjoyed the Pirate menu on the dream. That and the kids might think it was cool that daddy had a pirate themed birthday party. :)

For those of you who have done it, how long does dinner last? Any advantage to earlier/later?

I am loving the app too!!! But have definitely not figured out everything yet.

BTW, Is anyone NOT using Disney transportation? Has anyone had a good experience with one of the car services?

I booked this cruise but didn't want to introduce myself or get involved until my hubby agreed to the trip. Finally I was able to convince him to do the right thing! :yay:

Myself, my DH and my three little troublemakers (2 DD 8, 11 and on 1 DS 12) will be cruising.

Would love to get involved in the FE. How do I go about doing that?

Are there any fun other activities put together yet? Such as candy exchange? Magnet exchange?

Planning helps the time to pass!:santa:

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Stacey

Welcome, Stacey! :goodvibes
I will have a DD 7, DS 8, DD 11, & DS 12 on board as well so I'm sure our kiddos will cross paths in the Clubs/Edge!

Welcome Stacey!!! Glad you will be cruising with us. Michelle (fortheloveofDCL) has a website in her signature that you can go and look at everything that has been set up and fill out the "join us" page.
I have a daughter who will be 7 by the time we cruise. There are actually alot of us with girls that age. I know I will be running into Lianne, Beth, Thuy,Tiffany alot at the kids club:)

We don't ever use Disney transportation. We rent a car and drop it at the port. Compared to a family of4Disney transportation of $240. We pay less then half to do the car

That's what we did last time, but this time with 8 of us we'd have to rent two cars -- they are not allowing me to reserve a van with 8 passengers. :(

And since my mom/sis don't want to be concerned with a rental, we're stuck using a car service. I agree though --- I do NOT want to use Disney Transportation --- $70 x 8 = $560? Puh- lease...... :sad2:

We rented a van with 8 just didn't tell them. Dh rode on the floor for the hour drive since I drive and he wanted all the kids in seatbelts. I won't pay that much!!!!

Beth~We always rent a car too. It is cheaper than the Disney transportation. I will admit though that I did take the Disney bus back to the airport from my last cruise because I wanted to have the full Disney Cruise experience. LOL I dont think I need to have that experience again:crazy2:

:scratchin Let me see how to break this one to my DH. He's 6'11" so chances are I'd be the one on the floor!!! :sad2:

I did think about doing that half way, Robin, if we could check our bags for our return flight but after crunching the numbers again, I threw that idea out the window -- the convenience isn't worth $280!!!

BTW, thanks for the distractions today, guys!

We are having our roof fixed today after Hurricane Sandy did a number on it. Only problem is that they messed up the flat part of our house-- which means we are going to have to fight with these turkeys over payment, fixing it, etc.

It's stressing me out BIG TIME, so talking about these things are so much more enjoyable!!!! :thumbsup2

:welcome: Stacey! I am glad more people are joining us. I have a daughter who will be 14 when we sail. But Robin's daughter Sophie is my Goddaughter, so I will run into alot of you at the clubs to because Sophie likes me to come along to drop her off.

I have no clue yet how we are planning on getting to the port. Perhaps a rental car. Last time we took a cab from the airport. It actually wasnt that expensive (not that I can remember anyway).

I have been looking for things to do for the fish extenders. I am not that creative so we shall see. I do have an ornament already for the exchange. I saw it and couldnt pass it up. Whoever gets me is gonna love what they get:lmao:

Sorry to hear Sandy has done some damage. I hope they fix it with no hassles. I know what is like to fight with contractors to get them to fix something THEY have messed up!!!! Good Luck with that!
