Disney Fantasy ~ December 22, 2012 ~ 7 Night Western Caribbean

Hubby and I will be celebrating our birthdays and Christmas on the Dec. 22nd Fantasy Cruise - our first ever cruise, first Disney cruise, and it's a special birthday for him (50th) -- we actually have the same birthday (Day of month, not year) - of Dec. 28th. I think per the cruise info we will be at Castaway Cay that day. I would love to be part of any FE group or FB group. What is the best way to do this? :yay:

Oh my...You are gonna be so spoiled...

Ahoy and welcome aboard... pirate:

We have some new cruiser since I last updated the list for the Ornament Swap and Room Tour. Let me know if you are interested.:santa:

White Elephant Ornament Swap (TBD first Dis meet): Each participant will bring one wrapped Christmas ornament to our first Cruise Meet. The ornaments should cost no more than $20 and reflect where you are from, something about yourself, or Disney. In a random, predetermine order we will take turns choosing ornament. The first person opens a wrapped ornament and their turn ends. The second person then chooses whether to open a wrapped ornament or "steal" a previously opened ornament. If a person has his ornament stolen, he also has the option of choosing a wrapped ornament or stealing an unwrapped one. When a wrapped ornament is opened, the turn ends. When all gifts have been unwrapped, the swap ends.

130 days!!!

school starts tomorrow for us...

Summer is ending... :(

Welcome to all the new members!! Once you sail Disney you will never want to go back!!

On a sad note a certain airline that will remain nameless cancelled my return flights... I now have to rebook and leave WDW 2 hours sooner... so not happy but at least I will be in Disney! :woohoo:

Is there a Facebook Group set up for this cruise? We have a large group coming with us on the cruise and would like to participate in some of the activities such as FE.

Thanks,
Joey & Jennifer Affronti

Ahoy! :santa:

There is a FB page... look back in the post.. I don't have a FB profile, but my wife joined the group.. :surfweb:

Cant wait!!

DH and I were :surf web: on-line at mid-night... booking our Palo brunch, Remy dinner and Palo dinner. We were able to get all 3, :thumbsup2! Unfortunatly, cabanas were already sold out.:sad1: I will have to check back and see if any open back up before we sail. We also book the Segway Adventure & Beach Break in Costa Maya.

It's great to hear your success booking Palo and Remy. We've got two more weeks until we can book at 105 days, but it gives me hope. Sorry to hear about the cabanas -- was that both beaches or just the family beach? We also plan to book the Segway Adventure in Costa Maya. It's the only shore excursion DS14 is interested in, and it's nice there will be other kids his age on it. He's also looking forward to Vibe on the big ship!

Glad you had luck with your bookings. Always amazed how quickly things book up. Was considering a cabana, but had already heard how difficult they are to book. Not having a good week with Disney about things like that. Getting a bit disenchanted with the crazy booking, but I am sure I'll cope!!

Brunch is so good, but with only two sea days, it might be tricky to get (I can't book yet) Love to try Remy's too. But a few hours away from DS12 at Palo in the evening will be just fine. We don't get to do that much. He is too much of a foodie to let us dine out fancy on our own!!!

Totally off topic: Was lucky enough to have dinner at 'Ama 'Ama at Disney's Aulani Resort a couple of weeks ago. We weren't staying there, but thought we would check the hotel out. It was very nice. The food was excellent. Not sure I would stay that far away from Honolulu, but I'm sure I could be persuaded. I manage to squeeze Disney into as many of my vacations as I can!!

Thanks for the countdowns too, I shall know when I am finally allowed to book. Think I have decided on excursions. By the way, do you know if they are still offering the same excursions on Christmas Day?

I have been wondering the same thing about excursions!!! Will everything be running or will most places be closed! Questions, questions so many questions.

Hi,
Send me (Joe Schmieg, Mount Laurel NJ) a friend request and I can add you to the FB page.

Also, PM me the information for your crew to join the FE.

Quick Question to the FE participants... Is it insensitive to do a Christmas themed FE gift? Some family's may not celebrate Christmas. The FE gift we gave last cruise was pretty cool (feed back from one cruiser to her family was "hands off this is mine" lol) and we are thinking of doing a Christmas inspired version of the same gift.... Thoughts?

It is fine with us.:thumbsup2
