Disney Fantasy ~ December 22, 2012 ~ 7 Night Western Caribbean

I am sad :( to see people leaving but I know everyone will have a great Christmas! :santa: We did the Magic 11 Night Christmas Cruise in 2010 and it was amazing I wanted to go again! I missed last year due to illness  and I refuse to again!!!! But this year witheveryone in school this was the only time the fam jam :grouphug: could go together so voila! I just can't wait to meet everyone! :woohoo:

We also just changed our reservation to a cruise later in the year so are bailing on the Christmas cruise.

Our decision was based on Christmas traditions in our household and having difficulty with the decision to be away from "home" at Christmas. It sounds like a blast, but it's just not for us. We decided to do a short trip to DLR just after New Years Eve instead and another DCL cruise early next summer.

Hope everyone has a great time this Christmas! We'll be thinking of you. I hope we get a foot of snow on Christmas Day so we forget about the cruise, but it'll probably be 60 and sunny on Christmas here in Denver.

Removed you guys from the fe list. Both cabins. Sorry to see you go..

Happy HUMP day for us... :cool1:

Me and family were on that cruise, the gifts were pretty amazing (as was the cruise) Everyone was so kind.

Have a good weekend everyone...

Come Monday we will be in the 150's for days until the trip... :cool1:

Stepping on the Fantasy tomorrow for our first ever Eastern, then 5 more months until a Christmas Western. Seems weird typing that from 94 degrees here at WL.

Hello Everyone,
We will be joining the Christmas cruise too!:santa:
It will be myself, my husband and our two daughters 20 & 12.
Originally, we booked a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas while were on the MR Thanksgiving Cruise. But our eldest daughter had wanted to take a couple of summer college courses, so we moved it to the Christmas Cruise so she wouldn't miss out. Then after all of that, due to California State budget cuts; she couldn't get any of the classes that she wanted. So we ended up spending 10 days in WDW. (I know...Poor us.) We just got back from our 10 days and I figured it was a good time to start taking a look on our next vacation.
We have spent many Christmas' at WDW, but this will be our first time on the cruise. We had a great time on the Wonder for Thanksgiving, so I can't imagine the Fantasy could be less fun.
Secretly, I'm hoping that by the time we take the cruise they'll be selling the Villas at the Grand Floridian - I think an add-on would make the perfect Christmas Present. :goodvibes
But time to get planning, does anyone have any recommendations for the Port Excursions on our cruise?
I'll PM Joe to get on the FE list.
Best,
Noelle

Welcome Noelle!

Christmas and Disney are just fabulous! You cannot beat Santa and Mickey!!!! You will want to do a cruise every Christmas!!!

Thank you, Agent555.
I am looking forward to it. We're definitely going to have a Disney Holiday...We decided to fly in early - December 20th. For the first time in our 20 years of going to WDW, our flight a couple of weeks ago was cancelled - ironically NOT because of Tropical Storm Debbie, but because of mechanical issues. It got us thinking that it would sure be a bummer to miss the boat because of a flight delay - Yes, I know there's travel insurance, but I would still miss out on my vacation. So I'm thinking we'll try to see Ice at Gaylord Palms and maybe go to MVMCP on 12/21. Then we had already agreed that since the kids don't need to go back to school right away that we'd spend our first New Years Eve at WDW. pixiedust: So I'm going to try to get tickets to the last Candlelight Processional too.

Welcome - we have tickets for MVMCP for Dec. 21 and I think one or two others do as well. I'm so excited for this cruise!!

We were also on the Southern Cruise Cruise in 2010. All of the fellow DIS members made it truly special. We got some awesome FE gifts, meet some great people & my kids made some good friends in the clubs! :)
