ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! :p

Hmmm a ship hidden behind all of those parade floats!! Now nobody would find it there. :rotfl:

I heard they are assembling it on the international space station for maximum secrecy.

The shuttle just delivered a 17.5 ton component, no doubt a ship component in disguise. So it ought to be complete after another 5000 shuttle trips. When it's finished, all they have to do is give it a push. It has a 2/3 chance of landing in the ocean.

Of course DCL couldn't keep the building of a cruise ship secret if they used one of the standard ship yards. :rolleyes1 They're not using one of those, :listen: they are using their own super secret WED shipyard that's located somewhere north of Antarctica!! :smokin:

Since everywhere else IS north of Antarctica, this only rules out building it in Superman's secret fortress. :rotfl2:

I imagine that Disney Dream is being built at Castaway Cay inside the Pirate ship.(Thats why no one can board it). When it is finished being built Tinkerbell will put pixie dust on it and the boat dehydrator will come out and it will be full size!

I hope the rumor is true.

Exactly - Disney did use a front company etc. BUT - it was known that SOMEONE was buying up a bunch of land.

Same thing here - there would be a big ship being built someplace, they might not know who is building the ship but they would know that SOMEONE was building a ship that wasn't tied to an existing cruiseline.

It is easy to obtain a list of what shipyards are building what (see list posted earlier in this thread). All those ships are being built for existing cruiselines. There is no ship being built for 'Company X'. There are message boards that are just as obsessed with the cruise industry as this board is with Disney. A mystery ship would be a huge topic of conversation. And there's not a peep about a ship being built for company unknown.

So there is no Mr. Foster building a cruise ship

Well not I think it might still be technically possible for a front company to be building a ship. From the stand point of hiding from the public, you'd just have to make out the paper work to state it's a cargo ship (funny how it's shaped like a cruise ship though).

But from a realistic stand point, that reasonably couldn't work. It's one thing for a private individual to spend a few million dollars to buy up land knowing Disney wants it vs. a private individual or private corporation to front the nearly billion dollars it would cost to build a cruise ship. After all, for the "front company" thing to work, it has to be a private company or individual (otherwise the details would have to be released to the public) AND they would have to be legally liable for the ship.

Stated another way, for a front company to work, that private company would face the possible liability that they spend a billion dollars to build a Disney ship, and then Disney decide at the last minute that they are not going to buy it.

Well, now here's an idea ...

let's all chip in and see if we can build a ship worthy of Disney (but we won't tell anyone) -- once it's built, we can sell it to DCL.

I just found $1.37 behind the cushion on the sofa ... it's a start ...

OK, here's another hint where the WED Shipyards is located - somewhere south of Prudhoe Bay :smooth:

:goodvibes
I just love rumor threads. :thumbsup2
It is so entertaining when we have locations for the shipyard like "north of Antartica" or "south of Prudhoe Bay" or "inside the Pirate ship at CC" pirate: !

Now if the shuttle just delivered a ship part to the space station then how do we get it back to earth to sail? Or is it intended to be the first Disney Space Ship? :rotfl: I can see the ads now "Sail the beautiful Disney Dream into space!" Of course it would require a new terminal at Cape Canaveral, but we could see it from the present DCL terminal. :rotfl:

:rotfl: Don't give Disney any ideas! It already cost an arm and a leg to cruise with them. With Russia getting 20 million to send normal people to space. Just think what Disney will charge!

Putting a ship like that on the west coast would be a waste.

:confused3 How do you figure??? Hawaii, Alaska, Panama Canal and the Mexican Riviera are 4 of the most popular cruise itineraries in the industry Factor in the close proximity to Disneyland Anaheim and Disney has a goldmine! Would be far more popular than the Carribean/Bahama's which are so "done". It will happen, it's just a matter of the new CEO getting settled and the Euro cooperating.

I will be one of the 1st on board this future "waste"!

I personally don't know if i would like to go on a cruise to alaska. I would you all tell me why you like it so much? Also i heard that the panamal canal cruise was not that fun. Was it?

Well I will try to answer your question from my perspective having just returned from a cruise to Alaska on NCL. We loved both of our Disney cruises and the Magic is wonderful, but I have to say our Alaska cruise was by far our favorite vacation ever. Alaska is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. Some of the glorious sites we saw include a brown bear fishing salmon out of a stream, pods of orcas leaping out of the water, eagles soaring over our heads, stunning blue glaciers with huge chunks of ice thundering into the water below, waterfalls pouring off of cliffs, rainforests filled with moss and fern, gorgeous Native American carved totems towering above us and this is a short list. I could go on and on. It was, in a word, spectacular. The Mexican Riviera is fun, the Caribbean is lovely, but Alaska is truly a wonder and I can't wait to go back. My children are still talking about all the amazing things they saw and experienced. We have already booked a 10 day trip on Princess next year that will take us to some new Alaskan ports and I am counting the days.

ALASKA = stunning scenery

Panama Canal transit -- I can't speak for the 2,400+ other folks onboard, but we had an absolute blast during the whole 14 nights ... including the day we crossed the canal.

If Disney would forgo fix up of the resorts and loaned the DCL all the money paid for maintenance on the vacation resorts we could have a ship. They could do that like every 5 years. :dance3:

Amen - Panama was the best time we have had to far.... :cool1:

Will have to see how Alaska is next year on RCCL and do a comparison. However, if DCL did come out to the west coast, it would probably be my prefered cruise choice, just because it is so consistant on service, rooms, food, etc...

NASA just Identified the mysterious radar blip thats following the space shuttle: it the forward section of a Cruise ship that has hidden Mickeys on it.

I refuse to miss out on something like that again. If there is a new ship, I will be on it! We almost don't care where it's sailing.
