This is a very interesting post. I don't know what to believe, but all I can say is that after working for the mouse and living in Central Florida for almost 20 years; anything Disney wants, Disney gets. They can pull off things no other company can do. For example getting to shoot off fireworks in the middle of the ocean. I wonder if Carnival or RCCL could have pulled this off.
The INS even created a new entrance visa specificially for Disney's international workers (That's how DH got here!). What other company does the INS do this for???

If anyone is able to pull off a ship being built in secret; it's Disney.

Disney wants a better Euro/USD exchange rate ... hasn't happened yet.

Disney wants a better price on building new ships ... hasn't happened yet.

Disney might want to build ships in secret, but the new federal/SEC laws since recent Enron debacles won't allow it (don't think Iger or anyone else is willing to go to prison just in order to keep a ship build hush-hush).

And the last problem ... Rasulo, McAlpin, and a few others may want this, but that doesn't mean higher ups (like Iger or the board) want it.
