Good morning DISfriends I'll be putting my MVMCP day update on soon but I just wanted to celebrate how my ticker has dropped from four months to three months! Seems closer somehow!

Well, it was 4 months before, now it is only 3 months. So it is a month closer after just a day. Trying to figure the math out in my head, and it doens't seem to be working.

yay for the MVMCP tix I need to go on and buy my ones for in Oct-MNSSHP but I'm waiting till the 4th when my CC closes for the month and put the tix on that months and then pay off the rest of the Oct trip on Sept 5th!

Hi all! So my last update was Park Day One at Magic Kingdom. We’re getting the trip started off with an old favorite - a 10am breakfast at ‘Ohana and we’ll be checking out the Christmas decorations at the Polynesian. I had a hodgepodge wish list of all the things I wanted to do and all the new things I wanted to try at MK. It’ll be interesting to see how many things we can cross off that list or hold onto for another MK day, because this first MK day ends at 7pm for…..

MICKEY’S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY
Hours: 7pm – midnight

I cannot tell you how excited I am for this! We’ve been to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and LOVED it. I’ve read a lot how people say MNSSHP is much better then MVMCP and I’m OK with that. I know going into this party that I’m not going to worry so much about the rides as I am with all the shows and events and characters, etc going on. It’s all new to us and I know we won’t catch everything, but I’m ready to love it all.

I downloaded a park map of last year’s party to get mostly an idea of what to expect and I’ve been reading a lot of reviews and hints and tips. I have a list of all the characters that were out last year and the shows that they had. I know where all the cookies and hot cocoa, sliced apples and apple juice stations are and I know to sit in my favorite spot in Frontierland for parade viewing (and to skip the first parade in favor of the second one!) and that it will snow on Main Street.

So. Frickin. Excited!

Here are some more things we want to do:

As many Character Meet and Greets as we can but these ones for sure:
Alice and the Queen of Hearts
Genie, Carpet and Abu
Christmas Belle and Beast
Woody and Bullseye
Christmas Mickey and Minnie
Snow White and Prince Charming

Magic Kingdom at night pictures – I’ve always wanted to get more pictures of MK lit up at night and the decorations should be incredible!

Holiday Wishes – Celebrate the Spirit of the Season Fireworks I’m hoping we get a great spot in the Hub.

Castle Dream Lights – I know this show will actually be on just before MVMCP starts and it will be a must see.


Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show in Tomorrowland with Stitch, Buzz and Mike Wazowski. How fun would it be to see Mike Wazowski !?


Bring our letters to Santa and mail them from Candy Cane Garden!

The Fantasyland Pavilion Cotillion dance party was at Ariel’s Grotto last year but I haven’t read yet where it will be this year instead. Does anyone know?

Belle’s Enchanted Christmas – Belle tells the story of her enchanted Christmas. It’s a smaller seating, quiet event at Fairytale Gardens a few times throughout the evening. Ariana would love it!


Celebrate the Season show on the castle stage. Mickey and Minnie are joined by Santa Goofy for “a zany Christmas treat”.

I want that bow for my hair! Not sure yet if we're going to do anything special like making shirts. I remember a TR where they had peppermint Mickey heads that were cute but I don't know yet if we will.


OK, so here is where I need everyone to share with me all your thoughts, ideas, past experiences, things that you've read, pictures.... EVERYTHING about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I really, really want to see it all! So speak up everyone.... followers and lurkers alike!

I too am so excited for MVMCP... We arrive on the 28th, but our flight doesn't get in until 5:30 so there is no way that we would get our money's worth on the tickets, otherwise I would be doing 2 parties...

I can't wait!

I'm torn if I want to take my video camera this trip. I think I've mentioned before about the issue we had in 2007 where most of the trip was video instead of pictures and then all of it was lost due to problems with the camera. I'm still thinking about it for now.
