Disney Dream with a 3 year old!

Hi,

My family will be on the Disney Dream in January and I am nervous about the kid room for a 3 year old. We have been on the ship before but paid for the nursery as he was a baby. We have a 10 and 12 year old and they loved the kid area but I think a 3 year old is way to young to explore all those rooms on his own. Can someone give me some insight on how it works for someone so young. Am I able to go in with him?

Also he will just be turning 3 actually the day we board, I already told Disney when we made the reservation that it is going to be his birthday but if anyone has any suggestions on how I can emphasize the birthday experience for him on the ship I would greatly appreciate it!

Well, the only times you can actually go into Oceaneer's Club with your child is during Open House times. The first day onboard is mostly Open House hours, so that's a great time to take him there and show him around. Other than that (during the secured programming) you will not be allowed to go in with him. However, your 10 & 12 year old can also attend Oceaneer's if that would make it easier for him.

Get him a "It's my Birthday" button at Guest Services as soon as you board, and everyone will be wishing him a Happy Birthday all day.

If I am not mistaken, even at age 3, you are still able to make use of the nursery services. I'll have that option to try on our next cruise.
