Disney Dream Trip Report- Updated and Complete! Questions are welcome.

I wanted to thank you again for feeding my obsession! :flower3:

Now, your honest opinion. As someone who has cruised on the Wonder a few times and now got to cruise on the Dream (lucky dogs) which will you pick for your next cruise? (You and your other half too.) And why?

The Dream does look beautiful!

Thanks so much for sharing! I hope you'll update your title so we'll know when you add more...there's going to be pages of comments just like mine who want to say thank you!

Thanks so much for sharing but now you have really got me so excited that I am in extreme ANXIOUS mode now!

Can someone direct me to the the thread which shows the pics of the outside of the ship with cabin numbers for DREAM? We got our assignment today!

Is that to ride it by yourself? Can children ride with an adult? My son will be so crushed if he can't go on it..he'll be almost 4 1/2 y.o. when we cruise!

Children can ride with the parent BUT they HAVE to be 48 inches or taller :(
My six yr old will barely be 46 inch and I have already told her she won't be able to go on it due to safety but she still gets to go into the awesome NEW clubs and the Mickey slide. She understands and is prepared before we go. My son was too young for the Mickey slide last year but will be 4 tomorrow and he is just excited to finally go on the MIckey slide. He was a little upset when he couldn't go on last year but I explained it was for older kids and he doesn't always get to do what others do but he will grow up soon enough.

Thanks again for the report!
I was wondering if you can see the main kids pool areas from the Nemo splash zone or not?

I believe the Nemo splash area is actually in the area (somewhere around the Mickey pool end), however it is in a glassed-in area which makes it separate from the pools. I don't think you be able to sit an supervise kids in the pool, as well as watch younger ones in the Nemo area.

I also wanted to thank you for taking the time to post your pictures and your trip report. I am super excited but we don't sail until October!! I will be revisiting your pictures frequently, thanks again!

I love, Love, LOVE your pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. We are sailing on the Dream, Feb 24th. :woohoo: I have one quick question:

Do you have any pics of Cabana's? I think that is what it is called. My 8 year old daughter is dying to see pics of it. I heard they have 10+ stations serving various breakfast and lunch foods. Does that sound right?

Sounds right. I didn't take any pics of the serving stations. Sorry

Oh, and when my 4 year old saw your pic of the Mator sign, she screamed at the top of her lungs. It's funny what makes a 4 year olds day =)

Thanks again!

Thanks for the report -- I hope they bring the Golden Mickey's back to the Magic. Glad they have more space under the bed (put my garment bag under our bed on the Magic) but kinda wish they kept the ability to split it.

I wish they had the wave phones on my last cruise (they introduced them a couple of cruises later). This just makes me all the more excited for my cruise on the Fantasy next year.

What horn did they play at the sailaway? "When you wish..." or "A Dream..."?

They play "A dream is a wish your heart makes" at the Sail Away but played "When you wish upon a star" at port to let us know that it's time to go.

Thank you for posting - you got a bunch of great pics!

Would you mind answering another question? I know you've been inundated...

The outlets look European - did you have an issue with electronics?

Thanks!

The outlets are actually both European and American. If you look closely, you can see the "bars" on the outside of the circles.

I LOVE the chairs at Animator's...

Me too! If they sold them onboard my dining room would look awesome right now!

How would you rate Aquaduck on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being lazy river and 10 being class 5 white water rapids? Was it fun enough to do over and over?

A 2 for speed, 5 for fun. In my opinion it didn't go as fast as it should, but it was still tons of fun.

do they still have the Vacuum style hair dryers?

No every stateroom has a hair dryer that you plug in but it still wasn't strong enough.

Thanks for taking the time to post your pictures and write up the great detailed descriptions to go with your pictures!

Thank you for your wonderful report - it's great to get so much detail. I know it takes a lot of time and effort ot put together, so want you to know it's appreciated!

Does the Aquaduck have set hours or is it open all the time? I assume there are cast members there to make sure people don't ride too closely together, and that made me think it would have specific hours.

Awesome trip report!!

Not sure how I missed this review!! Thanks for taking the time to post!! The Dream looks incredible....a little sorry I decided not to book the Benefit Cruise in 10 days, but hope to get on the Dream this fall!!

There were so many clubs and lounges on the Dream that we didn't have time to go into all of them.
There is 687, Pink, Skyline Lounge, D Lounge, Evolutions.
Soooo exciting!:thumbsup2

There were lights that were just under the surface of the water that light up the edges of the ship at night. Very pretty!

Very cool!:wizard:

See Ya Real Soon Party: The princesses didnt come out as usual. The only character present were Captain Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Chip & Dale, Pluto and Goofy. We arent sure if this will be the norm or not. There was also a new Goodbye song.

Oh nooo! That was my favorite part of our entire cruise last time. Made me teary eyed! Boo!!!:sad2:

Hope you all enjoyed the photos and reading about the Disney Dream.

Thanks for reading!!

Thank you so much for the review! Hope you get to sail again soon!:goodvibes
