Sounds good to me too!! On my last cruise, someone got rubber wristbands for all of us, so that we could identify each other easier. It was really cool knowing exactly who your 'friends' from the Disboards are in a crowd!

I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do for our FE. I have no idea what we might bring for everyone.

I still have a few more months. Maybe I will get it together by cruise time.

We have o friend coming on this cruise with us so #34 is no necessary (they are coming on our May Dream Trip). We do have both cabins booked (6501 & 6001) but will hang the FE on the door of 6501.
So if we just keep everyone on the 6501 FE group, it will make it easier for all.
It will be Suzanne & Michael (adults) Kaylin (Niece 16), Madigan (DD6), Graiden (DS4) & Finnian (DS2).
Our 14 year old is missing this trip and Finnian is a boy .

We have been on 1 previous DCL cruise and loved it

The FE is lots of fun, it makes the cruise extra special for the kids too.

We too are traveling with kids on the Spectrum! My 10 y old was dx Aspergers but to many he seems like he has ADD... My 8 y.old twins are PDD-Nos and the other Autistic. So I have one of eveything!

My son Sam who is Autistic may not come with us on this cruise, he did not enjoy the last one He was soooo wanted to go on a cruise, we booked a surprise cruise. The week before we left he googled (lord know why ) Titanic

To make a long story short. The morning of the cruise when we finally announced that we were going on the cruise he panicked I have a video of it on my FB ( he now laughs everytime he watches it) He cried from the second we pulled up to the terminal until we were taken aboard right to the restaurant, the CM was soooooo nice. They were all nice, telling him "Titanic wasn't real only a movie", "no you are not on the boat your at the restaurant" Then he saw Pluto and he calmed down. But was always a bit nervous kept saying he wanted to be safe with mommy
I know he enjoyed himself, I have pictures of him smiling, he loved sitting on the verandah and watching the Ocean but he refuses to go back!

We will make the final decision when the flight rates comes out. I am hoping he will change his mind.

Welcome aboard! I'm updating the roll call to include your family. Just let me know if you will be doing the fish extender and, if so, which cabin you will be in.

In the meantime, my son (age 10) is also on the autistic spectrum (his primary diagnosis is Prader-Willi Syndrome, which then led to being on the spectrum). He and my daughter, unfortunately will not be joining us, as this is an adult party time to celebrate my big birthday. He really enjoyed the Disney Magic back in 2009, although probably did not take advantage of all of the kids' activities that he could have. But he did really well, and the staff was very good with him too. We are getting ready to go on the RCI Oasis of the Seas in a couple weeks. He's super excited, and we've been prepping him on things he will see and what to expect. His biggest "issues" with cruising are the ship's horn (Disney isn't as bad because it's a song, so I'm a little concerned about RCI), and then a "natural disaster" occurring (he has irrational fears about weather).

Anyway... I kind of wish that my son coming, as he would now have a buddy, but if there are any questions that I might be able to help answer, feel free to send me an e-mail at cctimmom@gmail.com

Also... we have a private board that I created to help with our weight loss challenge, but also planning for the trip (the private board has some functionality that allows you to create forums for each subject matter, so I've been trying to use it as a receptacle for information, if for nothing else).

Thanks so much for the info, how great to know there are others out there that cruise with their kids with ASD. Payton also the irrational weather fears, it didn't happen till we moved to GA and got introduced to tornado warning horns. This will be his 4th cruise but our first on Disney.

Please add us to the FE, we are in cabin 10618. I will look for more details as to what it is and what I need to do for it. Sounds exciting.
