Disney Dream - October 24, 2016 (4-night Bahamian)

Hi everyone! My husband and I will be on this cruise as the second half of a back to back! It will be our 11th, so our first as platinum! I will talk to him about tbe fish extender, he is in Germany, so it may take me a day or 2 with the time difference, but I'll definitely come back and post what we decide here! (probably yes, I love them!) Looking forward to passing the time chatting with you all!

Hi, Marybeth! Wow, that's a lot of cruises... some of us here are first-time Disney cruisers. Happy to have you here, whether you decide to do the fish extender or not.

Thanks eatingaburger! I noticed that a lot of first time cruisers are on this thread, and I hope I can answer any questions anyone has, I'm happy to try to help! Also just looking forward to being excited for the next 8 months with a bunch of fellow cruisers!

Can the experienced Disney cruisers here comment on what they found were things "you should pack (that you wouldn't otherwise think of)" for the cruise? I've heard reports of needing to bring your own hair dryer, insulated travel mugs, cooler bags -- wondering if these are going to be useful or if there's anything else to consider.

Hi there! My husband and I joined this cruise! We are on the other page as well! We plan on doing the FE, with the other page, and I believe there will be other things planned too! Can't wait!!

Just wanted to say hi. My adult son Jon and I, Susan, will be on the cruise. We will both be celebrating birthdays while on the ship. It will be his first Disney cruise and my 4th one. Not interested in doing the FE but would be willing to attend a meet if there is one. Thanks.

Hi shrpgrl! Birthdays and Halloween at the same time on ship sound fun. No one on DIS boards has volunteered to set up a meet and greet yet, so feel free to start one or join other existing events!

For anyone not on both the boards for this cruise:

There is someone setting up a Meet and Greet, as soon as I have more information I will post it!

There is a few FE groups started on the other page, a general one, kids only, and adults only.

I am setting up a private Champagne Tasting on our Sea Day at Pink's, hoping for 2pm October 27th)

There is a group of people for the Castaway Cay 5K, October 26th. We will all be supporting eachother, making friends to run/walk with, etc.

So fun!!!

My husband and I are booked for this sailing. This is our first Disney cruise and we will be celebrating our Anniversary. We are so excited! We would love to join this fish extender group.
