Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about participating in a Fish Extender Group!
-Fish Extenders (FE) can be bought or made. There are lots of tutorials online and places to buy them. They can have one pocket per person, or one pocket for the whole cabin to share.
-They hang on the decorative fish outside your stateroom door. You may want to attach it with a ziptie, as I'm told they have occasionally been known to disappear
-We will close our group when it reaches 10 cabins or on February 12th, whichever comes first.
-There is no recommended spending amount for a FE gift. Give what you are comfortable with and everyone should remember the theme of fish extenders is simply to bring some magic and pixie dust to your loved ones.
-You can give one gift per person in the cabin, or you can give one gift for the cabin to share. An example of a shared cabin gift might be, a picture frame or Christmas ornament. Of course, the main focus is usually the kids, but adults like pixie dust, too
-I will try to arrange the spreadsheet into deck order, so you can deliver gifts to the same areas at one time. Save those steps for the Pirate Party!
-Feel free to post a picture of your FE on our group board. That way, we will all know which FE to look for when we are delivering. Even the littlest ones can help find rooms, if they have a picture of the FE they're looking for!
Of course, don't post pics of your gifts before the cruise because it would spoil the surprise!
-your FE gift does not have to be in the person's favorite character, the characters are only a suggestion.
-You must deliver your gifts before dinner on the last full night, so the items can be packed.
-Do not deliver your gifts too late at night because sadly items can grow legs before morning.
-Put your name and cabin number on your gift or gifts so everyone knows who it's from and knows that everyone in our group gave them a gift.
-If for some reason you are not going to give gifts after you have signed up, please let me know as soon as possible.
-If your gift is too big to fit in the pocket of the FE (or even if it's too valuable or too tempting to naughty cruisers), you can prop it up against the door; you can put it on the handle of the door; you can leave it at Guest Services with the person's stateroom number and leave a message for the person to go and pick it up; or you can try asking the stateroom host to put it in their stateroom, if they are available.
