Disney Dream - March 14-17, 2013

Info on the kids:

Samuel's favorite character is Jake, wears a youth M, favorite color is red, obsessed with games
Jeffrey's favorite is between Minnie and Goofy... his favorite color is pink and he wears a 3T size, obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and letter and numbers

I don't really know what info to give about my hubby and I... don't really have favorite characters... just Disney fans. It's our first Disney cruise....

And about the dancing... I'd love to meet up with you all, but I'm still dealing with a bout of vertigo, so I'm just holding my breath that I'll be ok onboard.

I packed 2 suitcases of clothes for the boys and I this afternoon ;). I just need to get our snorkelling stuff and shoes together, and the dress clothes into the garment bag. Add a few snacks and toys, we are ready to go!

I finished setting aside all our clothes yesterday. my DD and I were both modelling all afternoon. Haven't packed all the other stuff, but don't think I'm packing too many extras. What's on everyone's packing list?

He he he, I was trying on summer clothes all afternoon yesterday too! I just hope the boys haven't grown since our January cruise, since they are getting the same clothes for this trip too :).
I just read a thread that most people wear t-shirts/tank tops with shorts during the day, but we tend to dress up for supper at least once...dress shirts and ties with vest or jacket for the boys and I brought dresses from my favourite designer. Hope we aren't going to be overdressed at night!

We worked on making our FE this weekend and we bought the FE goodies. It was busy and fun!

Do you see the little Edit button next to the quote? You can cut out what you don't want in your post.

Remember - anyone up for late night dancing....we're going to meet at Evolution at 11:30pm on Day 1.

Put on your dancing shoes!!! :cool1:

I'm going to wear a flashing LED hair extension so I'll be easier to spot. If for some reason my hair extension breaks down...i'll wear a glow bracelet. Actually, that would be fun and easy way to spot each other. If everyone can try to wear a glow bracelet.

I'm going to need lots of naps, I'm not a night person. Will try to be at the club at 11:30.
Are there any other ideas for meeting up?

We read that if you are not a guest at Atlantis or on an excursion that Atlantis doesn't let you see their stuff or do anything. Not sure how they keep tabs on that.

We are on spring break and spending 6 nights @ BLT before the cruise. You will probably see us at all of the bingo events!:wave2:

Anyone doing the Castaway Cay 5K? We are not runners but heard that you could walk it and still get a medal...

I am! CC5K will be my first race! I started couch to 5K back in October so I could try the CC5K, although I'm quite concerned about the heat slowing me down. My 5K run yesterday was in a balmy 5C, which was almost perfect for me ;)
I should have a bright blue Lululemon headband on for the race.

The friend travelling with me has been to atlantis before and didn't do the waterpark. Ahe said there's lots to see outside the paid area. She's taking her kids there just to walk around (not paying to go in) . Me...we're staying on the ship LOL! Its easy to get there...I believe u just take a taxi or something.

If u want to go to the waterpark, I thought u can get a daypass? I have heard they do sell out..which is likely why u were told u have to take an excursion. Apparently the best and cheapest way to do Atlantis is to get a room at Comfort Suitea across the street. Cruisers do it all the time.

We are doing the excursion through Disney since it is just DD9 and I. I priced the Comfort Suites and for 2 it wasn't a savings, for a bigger family it is for sure! I am not sure on how they check and what you can see unpaid, it's so beautiful, I cannot imagine you'd be disappointed.

I've read awesome reports about Atlantis - I'm sure u will have an awesome time!!! For us, this is our first time on a Disney ship so we just want as much Disney magic as possible. While its also our first time in Nassau, I figure at some point we will likely be back...on a cruise or something. So not my only chance to see Nassau. Plus, we didn't want to spend the money on Atlantis this trip. My friend invited us to go with her but there's no way my kids will be happy seeing the fab Atlantis waterpark and not go in. Her kids are young enough that they won't really notice.

That's awesome! Good luck! I imagine the heat won't be so bad since it's still March and the race is in the AM???

We decided to do an excursion that does a boat ride around Nassau. Cheap and something new.
