Disney Dream - June 9, 2013 - 4 night

My only concern closing a few weeks out from the cruise is what if we have 20 more cabins sign up in the next week or two? I won't be able to keep up, much less finish my gifts, and move all at the same time.

If we exceed a certain number will we split the list up?

How about we plan to close May 6 giving you all 5 weeks? And if between now and then we explode past 25 -30 cabins, we can split up. I currently have enough for 19 or 20 cabins, but can likely make some extras.

Sounds great to us. Good luck with your run!

We just got our room assignment! Mark MickeySTL down for stateroom #9166. Can't wait for this cruise!

Looks like we can all use the stairs delivering gifts to many decks! :-)

Just booked our Nassau excursion. We got a day pass to the Nassau British Colonial Hilton. Apparently, it's walking distance from the dock, has a private beach, pools and food/ drinks. It cost $60 per adult and $30 for our daughter. This price includes $40 vouchers for food drinks for each adult and $15 for our daughter. Can't wait! :beach:

Bummer to hear about the nuts. Although more dangerous from shock standpoint, easier to manage as most people understand that better or have heard of nut allergies. My DD and DS have nut allergies. Our kids will have lots in common. :) Thanks for all the tips and making me think ahead on food management. We've always done the WDW so assumed same would apply on cruise. Little more prep required on my part.

RunnerMomO please add soy to our allergies too. Fairly new development with DS 10.

Welcome to all new Fish Extender Members since I last checked in!
I am starting to get excited! I'm halfway finished with my gifts (which for me to be this far ahead of schedule is unbelievable!)! Got to get on the ball for fish extender itself and any excursions. Ready to go!

Updates for allergies!

I'm fairly new to this board, and a new time cruiser! I'm not sure if it is weird to go with kids, but the boyfriend and I are going this June 9 on our first cruise with disney! And I can't wait I already have our magnets made and I suppose next would be a fish extension?

Welcome aboard! Did you mean is it weird to go without kids? Not at all either way. If you would like to join the FE group, let me know your cabin # and number in the room of adults and kids if applicable. We will be closing out list in a couple of weeks.

If you can can you put us me (21) him (23) down for 7178! And I have a dairy allergy as well. This is new and so exciting! Is disney cruise the only place that fish extensions happen? Or so other cruises do this as well?

Fish extenders are unique to Disney. It's because of the little metallic fish that crew can leave you messages in outside your door.

Interesting! I wanted to go with a disney cruise because honestly I believe you can never go wrong with disney. Everyone seems so friendly, which makes me feel good that I choose right :) I'm pretty excited and don't know what to expect but I think that that's part of the fun!

Since you have a dairy allergy, check out the food allergy cruise info. as well. pirate:

Thank you! I will defiantly check it out! Quick question that come to mind right off the bat. Can I make request to my server before hand about my food allergy and they accommodate the meal accordingly? Or would I have to mention something before dining?

Sorry for all the choppy looking post! Being new has a lot of rules haha! (:

There are several important steps for you to take. You will need to contact Disney Cruise Line at least 4 weeks prior and give them info. on your food allergy. You will need to visit the head waiter when you board. You will be able to find him/ her easily. Just read the daily navigator, or ask any crew member where they are. You will need to tell him/ her as well. When you go to dinner, the chef will not come out like at the Disney restaurants, so be prepared to let your waiter handle your order. Most likely after dinner, he will give you the menu for the next day to order what you would like for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Desserts are few for dairy allergies. :sad2: Order a dairy free cake ahead of time!

Thank you! That defiantly helps, and I'm glad I learned this before it was too late. And that's kinda sad about dessert :( I keep hearing how good the food is here compare to other cruises, and I'm glad they are willing to accommodate for those with food allergies!

Disney is the best when it comes to handling food allergies! If you haven't been to WDW, plan to do so. They have the best chefs who truly understand and care to make you a safe and delicious meal. We go often so that our little girl can eat great food at a restaurant like everyone else. Plus, I get out of the kitchen for a week!
