Disney Dream - June 9, 2013 - 4 night

Our oldest two will both be able to hit the Tween club and I hear they will want to hit open house first day to get to know others and help with program planning. They can come and go here.
Our younger ones we will check in/ out of kids club and I put both of you down to be able to check our younger one out!

Funny, really funny! :rotfl:

Stupid question ... Are the decadent desserts in the adult lounges included with the cruise? I'm the cheap one, unless it comes to shopping then not so much.

Does anyone know if you can get a cruise button, on board, similar to nifty buttons in WDW for first time, just married, anniversary, etc. ?

We got buttons on last cruise for our wedding anniversary and husbands birthday. Not sure about first time. Never saw one of those.

Really? I thought you had to pay for those...which lounge was this?

This was photo taken at The Sessions Bar onboard the Disney Magic...

WoW! Looks pretty yummy! Thanks for the info on the kid drop off. Working on finishing up my FE gifts tonight! I outsourced my FE. It was shipped today. Picture looks totally awesome! Now to survive my parents' visit on Mother's Day weekend! Got to get cleaning!:woohoo:

I called DCL tonight to check on a couple of things. Some things I learned...you can buy a wine package for less then 4 nights..So you can buy the 3 night package for a 4 night cruise. Good thing, because Remy's is only restaurant you can't use wine package in...probably cause the wines are a bit more expensive!

Also, I asked about taking packaged food off the ship in Nassau and she seemed to think we could be okay with packaged items like crackers or something for kids to have as "lunch" since our shore excursion is scheduled over lunch time without lunch..just chocolate!

She said that our luggage tags and paper work will likely be coming pretty soon..but probably no later then a month out. Yippee!!!

Have you seen pre packaged meals called Go Picnic? They are healthy meals put together in a box that needs no refrigeration. They have several options to choose from. Each meal is made from individual pre packaged foods from different companies with the nutrition info. on each label. I like the hummus, crackers, chocolate, and dried cranberries with granola. They have a gluten free, peanut tree nut free, dairy free, etc. You may find one that will work for you kids. I buy them at Target. Here's the website..http://www.gopicnic.com/

We are doing the Nassau Hilton which is walking distance from the boat. We might just take her back and eat lunch onboard.
Wine package sounds like a winner! :drinking1

I already have a stock pile of go picnics in my cabinet. LOL. Funny thing is, they had a get social deal for them that was more expensive then at my local Target!

So a question for the newbies. On your first cruise, Disney doesn't give you a lanyard. I have found them to be greatly helpful to keep your room key in. We have a little extra stock pile. Would anyone like some? I would be happy to bring them - have DCL castaway members as well as DVC ones...never used and ready to go! Happy to pass them on!

Don't you love those?! So nice of you to give away the lanyards. I can't wait for this cruise. Seriously, I am counting the days...

I would actually love some! I don't know if I want to be lugging around my purse everywhere, and I don't think I would feel comfortable keeping it in my pocket just in case it would slip out.

I have a counter that counts down the days to the cruise on my phone. It makes me impatient but also excited all at the same time!

If you have a few extras, I would love one. Thanks.

Also, can you experienced cruisers share your packing list somehow?

And for some clarification between my sister and I, it says no flip flops...BUT all my summer shoes are like flip flops but not the $2 ones. They are dressy. She says they are still "flip flops", I say no. Please answer :)

I think that flip flops are made of rubber and sandals are made of leather. I'll send you a link to a packing list from Passporters.

Got my luggage tags last night. In reading the book, I discovered that I had accidentally put South African airlines instead of Southwest. What can I say ... it was the middle of the night. We are coming in three days early so I don't think anyone is stressing out about our flight details. Hopefully all my screw ups are like this one ... relatively minor and don't mean much.

LOL! :rotfl: Thanks for the laugh, I really needed it today.

Just got my cruise documents in the mail today with our luggage tags! Yeah, it's getting that much closer.
