Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Went & decorated for DD's 16th birthday party today, so it will be up & ready tomorrow and that's one less thing to do. Party 7pm-9pm, then hoping to be on the road to Columbia, SC Amtrak by 10:00pm!!!!

Still packing & need to check GPS, camcorder, camera, make sure everything's in working order.


I think I will try to bring some of the "leftover" decorations to put on our door. I have an extra roll of magnets, so if I have room, I'll bring them.

So when my FE group sees my door on DD's ACTUAL B-Day, ya'll might think I've gone crazy with the birthday decor!!

I feel like I have been to every store in Marietta! We are furiously packing, finishing FE gifts and cleaning out the car. Still up... celebrating my Dad's 76th birthday (it's today!), going to Kohl's tomorrow as DD needs more shorts, getting the car washed and vacummed (to avoid ants at Port Canaveral) and washing the dogs. We leave Friday morning. Hope all those traveling by plane, train and motor vehicle arrive safely! Off to do more laudry!

Oh my! This is my last day at work!! (and I'm obviously spending it productively).

DS 8 woke up this morning, walked in my room and shouted ONE MORE DAY. If only they knew that we were going on a cruise LOL!!

Great! I'm looking forward to it!

I just printed out our boarding passes! Hotel reserved; we will leave at 5pm
and eat dinner out so I don't have to clean the kitchen and delay our drive
to the airport!

Putting items in suitcases now!

Tomorrow night, dinner at O'hana!!!

Awesome!

Got to keep on preachin!

Meeting time is 2PM on the sea day. Meeting place forward deck 13(probably where the dismeet will be) with bad weather location main lobby, I believe deck three. Anticipated plan will be to progress from room to room beginning with deck 12 and the rest should be downhill. I will try to get the list of participating room numbers together for handouts. Concierge tour will depend on permission from the concierge. I plan on trying to see what I can do other than my room itself. The list above is the only confirmed list of participating rooms. It may or may not be accurate. Rose,,,, I am still around, just busy. Leaving Friday. Void where prohibited, teehee. Wish me luck,

I checked the weather site, and it has Friday high temp of 85, so it looks like it will be a good day, except for "isolated thunderstorms"!

But it also says that whole week has chance of isolated thundertorms!

I was searching for images to put on a magnet I'm making, and I found myself in google images!

Try this:
In google type in dcl martini tasting, go to images.....
Just a few scrolls down shows my picture that I just posted on here for a dcl wine tasting I did.

How does it end up on google images?

Good thing that the Martini tasting is at 3:30, that should give me enough time to do both, I hope

Intresting about being picked up on google images. How in the world.

So jealous of the Cunninghams in line at Hollywood Studios... We're not going to be able to do that park this time. We're doing Epcot pre and Magic Kingdom post-cruise. Ansley would like Disney Jr. at DHS, but just not enough time. My wife has VBS Monday, so we can't extend our stay.

Speaking of Stephanie, she is strongly suggesting (read:demanding) that I come and start packing. I don't feel like, but I guess I better since we'll be at the hospital tomorrow night.

We're onboard soon!

Love reading about everyone getting ready...we (especially I) are no where near ready...we got the house mostly clean before MIL and DSis arrive on Thursday and Saturday but it's a never ending chore with our kids to keep it clean...we have no packing done and really only a general idea of what we are taking...I still need to go buy clothes for myself since I basically have none and several other cruise things...I have to finish this week's and next week's homework for the summer class I'm taking...add work until Friday into the mix too...I will be burning the candle at both ends for the next few days...I will really need this vacation just for the stress of getting ready for the vacation

We should be on the same ferry to Blue Lagoon with you. We have the afternoon dolphin encounter. We actually hoped for the sea lions, but there wasn't space for a group of seven. Since that time my parents and husband decided to just do observer. I might have been able to get spots for the other four of us had I know when booking first opened, but when I checked back later (for four instead of seven) the sea lions were completely booked.

Maybe they will offer the mixology an additional time if they see how popular it is and we could go then. It sounds like members from our group could fill at least one session.

I really should step away from the computer and finish my packing, but the rest of the house is asleep and I need in and out of their rooms to get those last minute items.

Why can't I EVER sleep in? I didn't need to get up this early for any particular reason, and we were certainly up late enough watching the Mavs game last night. The boys were also way too excited to sleep after the game, so it took even longer to get them settled. Oh well, I guess being up past midnight will be the norm for them on the cruise anyway -- might as well start that schedule now.
