Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Our Mavs didn't pull it out tonight (maybe we can watch them take the title on board next Sunday), but I wanted to share a Maverick Moment from last season.

Dr. Pepper sponsors honorary ball boys for each of the Mavs home games. Kids mail in entries that are then drawn at random and assigned to games. All three of our boys submitted entries last season -- and believe it or not, both of the twins were picked from the giant hopper filled with several thousand entries. The PR rep who called to let us know about their selection said she first thought they were going to have a disqualification since only one entry per child is allowed and they drew the twins' envelopes back-to-back. Just looking at the return address on the envelope, they thought they had a child who had entered twice.

It was a great night for the whole family (grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins were also there so Justin could sit with them). DH Mike was particularly sentimental since he was actually a "real" ball boy for the Mavs during their second and third seasons (back in the 80's).

Very very cool:cool1:. That is a memory of a lifetime for them. I grew up in Cleveland and I am one of those CAVS fans that have become MAVS fans. I really don't want the Heat to win becuase of Lebron's decision. GO MAVS

As long as we take at least one of these games at home, we will make it to Game 6 -- which means we can watch it on board. We were on the Wonder during the 2009 NBA Finals. You just don't get any more "big screen" than the funnel vision. DH really enjoyed watching the Magic vs Lakers poolside.

It would mean so much more to be able to watch our home team up there. Don't forget to bring the blue! :cheer2: Go Mavs! :cheer2:

Only 3 more days of work for me!!!:yay: Don't know how much good I'll be at work since all I can think of is the cruise!! We are sooooooooooo excited!! Looking forward to see you all there!

My PIC of the day, a shot of my girls enjoying the sunrise at sea:

I like seeing all the 5's on everyone's countdown. Off to a client's office....hopefully this day will go by QUICKLY.

Last day of work for me. So far I've been at work for over an hour and only accomplished reading the disboards and trying to decide on my touring plans for the parks.

Tonight will be packing. I looked all over the house for one of the suitcases and couldn't find it, so now I have to rethink my packing strategy. I think a few more carry ons will do.

See everyone soon. Safe travels.

I'm at work sitting here debating going into my boss and asking if I can take Friday off. I know I'm going to be useless ;)

All I can really say is :banana::banana: Yeah, I think my mind is more on the cruise than costing out our equipment

Sounds like we might be having a mini-meet at the Mixology Class ;)

So where do we book these? Guest services? Thinking I'm going to definately try to book Mixology as soon as we board. Well, as soon as I can after lunch. Need to ask David if he wants to go to that with me.

Trying to decide if I want to try to get us Palo (preferrably brunch) when we board.

Well, I didn't get as much packed/ready as I'd hoped yesterday. Pulled the suitcases out and realized I couldn't find our hanging toiletry bag. Now to decide if I want to get a hanging shoe holder to use as an organizer.

:thumbsup2:cool1:

I have relaxed a bit with the packing fury - all clothes /shoes are ready to pack (of course I'm packing 3 times as much as anyone else :rotfl:)

Magnets are done, shoe organizer is replenished with essentials, FE has arrived :yay: FE goodies are in process... :rolleyes1

Next comes assembling the puzzle pieces of items into carry ons and checked luggage. :headache:

:yay::banana: We leave in 100 hours!!! :yay::banana:

I know what I'm taking but haven't packed a thing yet. And I still want to clean the house before I go so these next few days will be panic mode:eek:

As much as I am :banana::banana: about the 6 days, I'm trying not to look at it. There is nothing in any of our suitcases yet!! So I'll be the frazzled (or slightly tipsy) looking one at the DISmeet. Which it is depends on if I've had a drink of the day yet ;)

Yup, me too, I'll be needed that drink of the day, but after I've made the Palo ressies, booked the mixology class, champagne and martini and cooking maybe too, rode the Aquaduck at least once....... then and only then can I finally try and relax and go get a drink!:scared:

Well hello dreamers!
Sign me up for a mixology mini meet! I will probably do the champagne tasting with DH so I'll be alone and looking for a seat mate for mixology! :)

I'll have to look and see if champagne tasting is available on a different day, that would be better! Too much of a good thing after all :rotfl:

And I am giving up on finding my FE. I have found some gifts from last cruise (2009) the directions for the FE, the leftover materials to make the FE, the directions for handmade items I made for the 09 FE....just not the FE.
Send me some pixie dust or I will be hot gluing and ironing up an FE into the wee hours of the morning.

Tammy - great picture of the three of you. :grouphug:

How exciting for the Mavs ballkids, thanks for sharing that story!

DS is lifting and playing soccer until 5pm so I have 75 minutes to pack...we will be eating pizza for a quick dinner so I can continue to pack! It is like I just booked this cruise yesterday, what was I thinking? Should have packed in April! Good luck fellow packers.

Irene, I'll be at both of those classes and so will some of the rest of us so you'll have plenty of company.
I believe though that there was only one Champagne class. But read through it again, and also our navigator could be different.

According to the 5-night navigators that were recently posted ...

It looks like Palo and Remy bookings are open on the first day from 1:00 to 3:30 at Palo and Remy, or later by phone.

I found that on the first page of the Day 1 Navigator here

:thumbsup2
I thought I had read somewhere else a conflicting report that you could do it at some adult club or somewhere else, but I can't remember. I guess asking when we board is the best idea:goodvibes

I MUST start moving all my piles of stuff into suitcases today. I have stacks on the dining room table, my bedroom floor, and each of the boys has a stack on his desk.

I think we have everything laid out, I just have to figure out the best arrangement for it all. I will probably have to do some last minute shuffling anyway, since I volunteered to take my mom's FE gifts in our luggage (we're driving, they are flying).

Even though we don't leave until Thursday, this is really my last day to get things done. We will spend most of tomorrow out of town with my grandmother celebrating her 95th birthday.:bday: Such an amazing woman!

I already asked for half of the day off:thumbsup2
And Thursday is my day off too. So there should be no reason I can't have it all together and not be in panic mode at the last minute:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Oh my! This is my last day at work!! (and I'm obviously spending it productively).

DS 8 woke up this morning, walked in my room and shouted ONE MORE DAY. If only they knew that we were going on a cruise LOL!!

Great! :yay: I'm looking forward to it!

I just printed out our boarding passes! Hotel reserved; we will leave at 5pm
and eat dinner out so I don't have to clean the kitchen and delay our drive
to the airport!

Putting items in suitcases now!

Tomorrow night, dinner at O'hana!!!

I agree that is my order, but I will get lunch and a drink.

I only have 3 more hours. It is really tough.
