Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Yeah we got that a lot when they were younger. Their hair is at different lengths these days so we don't hear it as much. Thankfully they have a GREAT looking mom with FANTASTIC genes to help balance out what I bring to the table! :lmao::rotfl2::thumbsup2

:goodvibes
Silly, you're both nice looking people!
The girls have your darker hair too.

I just read a thread posted about the different tastings on board -- it looks like the "Mixology" especially is very limited and best to book right away upon boarding..

Yes I thought I would book that that first day.

Angela, do you remember where it said to go to make Palo ressies?
I read it somewhere but now can't find it.
Only places I see mentioned are on the Magic or Wonder.
I'm pretty sure it was in one of their adult clubs too, but if I can't find it I'll just ask when I board.

Our Mavs didn't pull it out tonight (maybe we can watch them take the title on board next Sunday), but I wanted to share a Maverick Moment from last season.

Dr. Pepper sponsors honorary ball boys for each of the Mavs home games. Kids mail in entries that are then drawn at random and assigned to games. All three of our boys submitted entries last season -- and believe it or not, both of the twins were picked from the giant hopper filled with several thousand entries. The PR rep who called to let us know about their selection said she first thought they were going to have a disqualification since only one entry per child is allowed and they drew the twins' envelopes back-to-back. Just looking at the return address on the envelope, they thought they had a child who had entered twice.

It was a great night for the whole family (grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins were also there so Justin could sit with them). DH Mike was particularly sentimental since he was actually a "real" ball boy for the Mavs during their second and third seasons (back in the 80's).

Here are a few pics of the fun ...

pre-game huddle. That is Brandon hanging out on the edge of the crowd, a little uncertain around all those big guys. If you look carefully you can see another pair of little legs (you can see the bottom edge of his jeans) in the middle of the huddle -- that would be Aaron in his own personal heaven.

How totally cool!
They must have been soooooo excited!:thumbsup2:cool1:

UGGG, the dreaded SAT's:headache: Here's hoping she did awesome!:wizard:pixiedust:

So funny about your husband being a shopper! Cool!
Glad to hear that your old shorts now fit great! Isn't that an awesome feeling?! That has happened to me to this year:yay:

What kind of books does your husband read?

That's just it, he's NOT a shopper! We went looking for me and he wanted to take a quick look around for him. I found nothing and he found stuff. Granted most of it was just t-shirts but still... I wanted to find some new tops! LOL

He reads Fantasy mainly. He doen't get to read much so hopefully the cruise will give him a chance to.

Other important info from the Navigator:

Paige, Angela, are you listening????????
Tracy, Michele anyone else?

Tuesday 1pm Champagne Tasting!(love Champagne but could
put me out for the rest of the day:rotfl:)
3:30 Mixology Class

4:30 Beer Tasting (I don't drink beer but BF does)

Wednesday 3:30 Martini Tasting

6:15 Mojito/Margarita Tasting

Also on Wednesday, not alcohol related:
Anyone can cook 11am and 3pm

Hmm...

The Champagne Tasting sounds interesting. I think the Mixology Class & Margarita Tasting are the ones I'd want to hit. I've done the Martini tasting on the Wonder and ... well... I love the fufu martinis (chocolate, etc) but the classic martinis...ahh... not so much.

Anyone can cook might be fun too

Sounds like we might be having a mini-meet at the Mixology Class ;)

So where do we book these? Guest services? Thinking I'm going to definately try to book Mixology as soon as we board. Well, as soon as I can after lunch. Need to ask David if he wants to go to that with me.

Trying to decide if I want to try to get us Palo (preferrably brunch) when we board.

Well, I didn't get as much packed/ready as I'd hoped yesterday. Pulled the suitcases out and realized I couldn't find our hanging toiletry bag. Now to decide if I want to get a hanging shoe holder to use as an organizer.

I'm not sure! I saw a couple different trip reports with conflicting info - one said there was a table in /near the atrium taking Palo/Remy ressies and then another where someone made their ressies by phone from their room between 1-2 pm or something? :confused3
I'm going to look again and maybe post the question on the main board to make sure..:)

I have relaxed a bit with the packing fury - all clothes /shoes are ready to pack (of course I'm packing 3 times as much as anyone else :rotfl:)

Magnets are done, shoe organizer is replenished with essentials, FE has arrived :yay: FE goodies are in process... :rolleyes1

Next comes assembling the puzzle pieces of items into carry ons and checked luggage. :headache:

:yay::banana: We leave in 100 hours!!! :yay::banana:

Just noticed all our tickers now say 6 DAYS!!! Woo hoo!!:banana::banana:

As much as I am :banana::banana: about the 6 days, I'm trying not to look at it. There is nothing in any of our suitcases yet!! So I'll be the frazzled (or slightly tipsy) looking one at the DISmeet. Which it is depends on if I've had a drink of the day yet ;)

I'm nearly packed. We are leaving on Wednesday. I've got one suitcase with our "dressier" clothes and one with our Park cloths. Still need to pack the little "odds and ends"

Steve are you driving down? We will be going through your area on the way down Sat.

Well hello dreamers!
Sign me up for a mixology mini meet! I will probably do the champagne tasting with DH so I'll be alone and looking for a seat mate for mixology! :)

I'll have to look and see if champagne tasting is available on a different day, that would be better! Too much of a good thing after all :rotfl:

And I am giving up on finding my FE. I have found some gifts from last cruise (2009) the directions for the FE, the leftover materials to make the FE, the directions for handmade items I made for the 09 FE....just not the FE.
Send me some pixie dust or I will be hot gluing and ironing up an FE into the wee hours of the morning.

Tammy - great picture of the three of you. :grouphug:

How exciting for the Mavs ballkids, thanks for sharing that story!

DS is lifting and playing soccer until 5pm so I have 75 minutes to pack...we will be eating pizza for a quick dinner so I can continue to pack! It is like I just booked this cruise yesterday, what was I thinking? Should have packed in April! Good luck fellow packers.

One more day of work!!! I'm leaving in about 30 minutes to go get my hair done. Then go home and finish packing. DH is procrastinating, so he doesn't have anything in any of the suitcases (WDW, CI&S, Cruise). I just printed the navigator from the first double dip to read and get my game-plan together.
We leave 6 am Wednesday.

According to the 5-night navigators that were recently posted ...

It looks like Palo and Remy bookings are open on the first day from 1:00 to 3:30 at Palo and Remy, or later by phone.

I found that on the first page of the Day 1 Navigator here
