GOOD MORNING FELLOW CRUISERS!!
Rose, I would love to try some of those drinks as well! If we can't get them on board, then I guess I'll have to wait until the next week when we get to the parks!
Paige, You and your family look beautiful!!
Tammy, Congrats to Rachel on her ring! I have never heard of a ring ceremony. We traditionally get our rings at the end of our sophomore year and wear the ring facing yourself, then at the beginning of your senior year, you turn it to face away. But we always just did it, no ceremony. Colton already has his. I don't know why they ordered them at the beginning of the sophomore year? He loves it though.
Last night was one of THE best football games I have every watched and it ended HORRIBLY.

It was us...Hurricane, ranked #5 against South Charleston, ranked #4 and a local team as well, but we did not play them in regular season play. Our boys came to WIN, and even though the score board said otherwise, we did win. The final score was South Charleston 30, Hurricane 26. South Charleston has a reputation for playing dirty. They were out for blood for some of our boys. One of our players was downed on the field, writhing in pain. they get him off the field and he then stands up and is showing the coach what happened...he's taking his foot and running it down his other calf...they were stomping/running a cleat on his calf to get him out of the game. With just 2:33 left on the clock, we took possesion of the ball...all we had to do was hold on to it. We were up 26-22 Our running back has the ball, 3 SC defenders come around, spin him like a top and all the sudden, SC takes off running, with the ball....stripped the ball and ran for a touch down. (What the ????) Now we have the ball again....22 seconds on the clock, we pass, it's intercepted, there's a struggle for the ball, push comes to shove, and all of the sudden the entire SC bench clears and is on the field. (Thankfully, our boys were smart enough to stay off the field, with the exception of those that were already there) There were also SC parents that jumped down from the stands...it was melee. Total chaos. The Charleston Police were on the field...pepper spray was used and at least 2 of our boys..and who know how many SC boys...were tasered!! YES, TASERED! After everyone was to the sidelines again, the refs, coaches and PD had a discussion, center field. The refs picked up thier flags and walked off. The announcer asked for the SC bus drivers to report to thier busses immediatly. There was no shaking of hands, there was no thank you for coming, there is still 14.6 seconds left on the clock, unplayed. But both coaches in interviews said it was best not to play out the remaining seconds. SO, now it's to be decided.....HOW MANY of SC's players were ejected? Enough that they won't have enough to play the next round of playoff games? Will the WVSSAC decide that they were so bad they were eliminated from play offs? Will SC have to forfeit the next game? I have no idea...we'll know more tomorrow. when that ball was stripped, my heart just sank...here we were, just minutes from winning the second round of playoffs...making school history, again....and it was gone. Then, with seconds on the clock and the ball is intercepted......wow......My heart goes out to The Hurricane Redskins. What an awesome team, awesome coaching staff. They were the first team in school history to go 10-1...now 10-2....and the first team to make it to the second round of playoffs! THAT they should be VERY proud of!!!!!
Soooo, with that mess, football season is over, marching band season is over. Now we move on to weight lifting for Connor....he'll start lifting with the high school football team in January... and pep band/competition band season for Colton. Things will be a bit calmer...but with the holidays quickly upon us, that's a GOOD thing!!!
May you all be blessed this Thanksgiving season! Be safe in your travels and enjoy your time with family and friends!!
Disney Dreaming.....
