Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Must go!
BF will be getting up soon and will be saying "Are you on that computer again?"
No, of course not! :rolleyes1

Other important info from the Navigator:

Paige, Angela, are you listening????????
Tracy, Michele anyone else?

Tuesday 1pm Champagne Tasting!(love Champagne but could
put me out for the rest of the day:rotfl:)
3:30 Mixology Class

4:30 Beer Tasting (I don't drink beer but BF does)

Wednesday 3:30 Martini Tasting

6:15 Mojito/Margarita Tasting

Also on Wednesday, not alcohol related:
Anyone can cook 11am and 3pm

I saw a Whiskey Tasting listed also. Did that on the Magic a couple of years ago and enjoyed it and plan on doing it this time too! Also for the wine connoisseurs I think I saw at least one Wine Tasting.

Couldn't decide on "a" pic of the day so here are 2.

DS (then 9 now 12) on our Wonder cruise in 2008 surfin' with Stitch.

From the same cruise, Capt. Jack whispering in DS ear wanting to know who the big guy (me) was and why he was watching them so hard. (Typical Capt. Jack paranoia...lol)

OK. I'm officially in panic mode.

Today I've got to get the packing started! My boys and I are leaving on Wednesday. DH is joining us on Saturday.

I still have to book a hotel for one night when we return and book a rental car to go back to the airport. Boy, are they expensive. I'm looking at $120 for the day!! That's for a compact car too!

I need to sign my boys up for summer camp. They'll start the week after we return.

Oh, and there's the standard panic for making sure we pack everything since this is our first crusie.....

On a separate note: Rose, I've read ROOM. If we meet up, I'd love to know your thoughts. I'm actually reading Hunger Games (DS12 has been bothering me to read it). It's actually pretty good and an easy read.

Well obviously the martini tasting is a MUST.. mixology sounds great & I hear it's a great deal :)

I am definately in packing stress/panic mode. I have TOO much stuff to take! Have to have enough for WDW & the cruise. I have tried to take some stuff out, but I still feel like I am overpacking. So far I have 3 checked bags for both of our stuff, not each person (one with FE stuff only, to be used to bring souviners home), and one carry on and purse for each of us two.

Does that sound like too much?

How do you not overpack?

Or does anyone just pack a bunch of stuff & not worry about it?

They all sound fun, but I think martini, mixology, and anyone can cook. Maybe DH will join me for beer tasting. I guess that means we will get off first thing in the morning to walk around Nassau and then come back.

It is funny how different the DisMeet groups are. I'm checking out the 2 possible cruises during our spring break time next March. Both are just on page 2 with less than a year to go. DH really wants to try eastern, but DCL is not sailing during our spring break time. I'll have to either book a dummy date for 2013 and hope for the best or go RCCL for spring break.

Laundry is on the last load, so time to start packing.

Cincimouse, love the matching tiedye shirts. ! have one just like it I got on our last Disney trip. It's my favorite tshirt.

Oh, There is a discount code for Budget rental car for one way rentals from the port to MCO. I think I got it from the transportation information on this site. Maybe someone else can chime in and confirm.

I really have to make myself get off the computer and get to work packing:rotfl: Cant' help it. Can't wait to meet everyone.

All 3 of the young adults going with me also play W.O.W. They are 21,20, and 18. I think Nathan started playing in middle school and has played off and on ever since. He had taken a break from it but just got back on after his graduation.

Well, gotta get packing:woohoo:

Yes I saw those also, I only mentioned the ones I was interested in though;):rotfl:

I booked my car last year so I only spent about $50 going down and about $60 coming back.

Hunger Games is on my wish list:goodvibes

So cute:cutie:
Boy, there is no denying that those 2 are sisters!
Almost like twins!

Yeah we got that a lot when they were younger. Their hair is at different lengths these days so we don't hear it as much. Thankfully they have a GREAT looking mom with FANTASTIC genes to help balance out what I bring to the table! :lmao::rotfl2::thumbsup2

I just read a thread posted about the different tastings on board -- it looks like the "Mixology" especially is very limited and best to book right away upon boarding..

Well, that would be me!

Since we are driving, I am only worried about how much will fit in the van. I don't have to worry about airline baggage fees.

I am trying to be ultra-organized and have the pre/post cruise luggage and then the stuff that will actually go with us on the ship. I am hoping to do a couple of quick loads of laundry the night before we board so that the things we wore on the three days prior to the cruise can be recycled for the three days between getting off the boat and arriving back home.

We'll see how it actually works out. In my mind it is a beautiful system!

Our Mavs didn't pull it out tonight (maybe we can watch them take the title on board next Sunday), but I wanted to share a Maverick Moment from last season.

Dr. Pepper sponsors honorary ball boys for each of the Mavs home games. Kids mail in entries that are then drawn at random and assigned to games. All three of our boys submitted entries last season -- and believe it or not, both of the twins were picked from the giant hopper filled with several thousand entries. The PR rep who called to let us know about their selection said she first thought they were going to have a disqualification since only one entry per child is allowed and they drew the twins' envelopes back-to-back. Just looking at the return address on the envelope, they thought they had a child who had entered twice.

It was a great night for the whole family (grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins were also there so Justin could sit with them). DH Mike was particularly sentimental since he was actually a "real" ball boy for the Mavs during their second and third seasons (back in the 80's).

Here are a few pics of the fun ...

pre-game huddle. That is Brandon hanging out on the edge of the crowd, a little uncertain around all those big guys. If you look carefully you can see another pair of little legs (you can see the bottom edge of his jeans) in the middle of the huddle -- that would be Aaron in his own personal heaven.

I think since this is my first time not driving, that's what's stressing me out. When I drive, I just take whatever and not worry about it.

I'm also planning to wash clothes the night before the cruise.

All the FE stuff is in it's own small suitcase, and I'm stressing about it getting all squished. But at least when I empty the FE stuff, I'll have an extra suitcase for souvenirs, etc.

Probably trying to pack at the last minute isn't helping my stress level, either!:headache:

My DCL pic of the day.

I wanted to throw these pics out there because I got to thinking about how I'm gonna miss the bed being separated into twin beds. Here's before & after the separation:

Those were the first things I looked for! I'm with you! My sis *** well I'm sure!

Here is one of the few pictures of all three of us on our first DCL cruise in 2007. I only wish that my wonderful husband were still here to go on this cruise with us.
