Hi, I am hoping I can be added to the FE group list. We will be on the January 3rd cruise and are so excited we can hardly stand it! It will be my dh Peter, ds12 Carter, dd9 Caroline, ds8 Chase, dd5 Chloe and myself.

Our room numbers are 8023 and 8025.

I have been looking on all the FE threads to try to find this group! Please let me know if there is anything I need to do. THANK YOU!!

Do I make something for every person in every party or one for the whole party?

I think I read somewhere that we give out the FEs once on the trip. Is that right? Do we assign everyone different days?

My Keighley is also celebrating her 18th birthday. Wonder how close in age she and Malcolm are?

Some people will give each person in each cabin something while others will give one gift for the entire cabin. It is totally personal preference.

There is no schedule for delivery. Every cabin participating will have FE outside their door so gifts may be delivered any time. I always group mine according to deck and deliver a deck or two before dinner in the evening so it can take me all five days before I get them all delivered. It also depends on how many cabins. The last cruise I had over 30 cabins so it took a while. Since everyone will deliver on their own schedule you should find surprises in your FE at random times.

I don't think anyone has started an official list and if they have I am sorry please let me know. I would like to volunteer to do this. I have done fish extenders in the past. I will keep a running list of all staterooms involved and publish it publicly on this thread. I will need the following from those that wish to be a part of it. Just post your information on here or PM me:

Stateroom #
The number of Adults and children in the room.
Ages of all children

Once I have your informaion I will add it to the list. I think the deadline for signing up should be Thanksgiving so that we have time to make/buy the FE stuff. Some people go all out. I have received games, crayons, coffee mugs, personalized items, miniature liquor drinks, candy, socks, washcloths, picture frames, etc. I will provide my cell number 2 days prior to the cruise so that any cabin changes and upgrades can be quickly attended to. I will then finalize the changes onboard by 4PM the day of the cruise and post a final list a few minutes before sail-away.


So far I have:

Cabin 5516 = Sam (60) and Donna (57) Hendrickson
Cabin 5520 = Misty Appling (32), Benjamin Appling (8) and Hilda Smith (29)
Cabin 5552 = Harold Garrison (76)

My daughter and I would like to participate in the FE for this cruise. Here is our info:

2 Adults in Room Me(49) and DD (19)

Can't wait for this cruise. Just transferred about $200 from our Disney Rewards card to our stateroom account which should pay for our Nassau excursions and Palo.

FISH EXTENDER IMPORTANT UPDATE

I took the advice of the wonderful person that suggested that I create a google doc that can be seen and edited by everyone with the following link:

Just remember to only edit your personal details and be careful with the document. This saves me having to update if you cabin number changes or you want to add/remove names etc... If you do edit the document make sure you SAVE it and it will automatically update to this link.

I am still very willing to update or add to it if you prefer it that way just post a reply or PM me.

That was me!

He will probably be in the teen club with Keighley (she turns 18 on 12/14) but as she's still in HS, is eligible for the teen club until she graduates.

Birthdays are such fun! Make sure DCL knows as I think they have a special button they give to celebrants.

Finally started my Fish Extender--it definitely won't be the nicest one on the ship, but I think it will work Now if I would quit changing my mind on what to put in everyone's FE...

I have a question. We have a 19 yo son who is not really sure he wants to go on this cruise--he's a computer geek who would love to stay on his computer the whole time. Internet usage is pricey ($75 for 250 minutes--that's only 4 hours and a few minutes) and I hear from reports on other places on this board that the internet is slow.

So, what if he does not come with us? We paid for our trip with our DVC points--except for him, his part was paid with cash. I know we'd lose that money, but is there any other penalty? Since the cruise is sold out (according to someone else in this thread, I cannot remember who), I do not want to call to cancel and then re-book. Besides, he may decide he does want to come after all.

So, what do you think the penalty would be, besides losing out on the cost of his trip? Would the agent we sign in with at the port make it hard for us?

Thanks, stefanospops! I shoulda just called them in the first place. Since we made our reservations through DVC, I called them. They said if he didn't show up, we'd just forfeit the cost or points spent on his reservation, there would be no other problem. Whew! All that worry for nothing.
