Disney Dream January 3, 2012

It is our third Disney Cruise, third in all cruises!:)

First one on the Dream, we did the Magic and the Wonder already. We liked the Wonder better!

We are so excited to be going on the Dream!!!:yay::yay:

This will be our first cruise on the Dream, 5th Disney cruise, and 7th cruise total. This one will upgrade our CC status. :cheer2:

If this is your 5th you will still be silver.

We just finished our 5th in Jan/Feb. and we were silver. But this one should put us to Gold. Only been on the Magic for all 5 times. Have done Eastern and Western. Prefer the Eastern.

And as you can see I am from Ontario , Canada. Just east of Toronto. The cruise we were last on was 85% Canadian's becasue they had a sale on for just us. :lmao: We couldn't not go. We had one already booked for Dec. and changed that date to next Sept. for now.

My DH and I booked this cruise the day the prices were released. This will also be our fifth Disney cruise/13th overall. We have 5 cabins booked for our family.

this is our first on the dream - done both the Wonder and Magic....

We're gold...we need 4 more to get to Platinum I think.

Wow 5 cabins!!

Wisconsin here...first crusie ever! SOOOOOO excited!
Congrats - you'll have a blast!!!

Does everyone know their cabin number? Ours is 10602, no reviews on it yet I don't think.

I think we decided to stay at WDW 12/29-1/2 and then head over to the port to spend the night. We can leave our car at the hotel.

We are on late dining, and they wait listed us for first but I think I want to stay with late, I always hate being rushed to get to early dining and we eat late at home anyway. Plus I like the new club thing where the counselors come down and get the kids for the clubs.

We're in 9555. We're doing a B2B with the NYE cruise and then this one, funds allowing it all to happen! We're using DVC points for the NYE and cash for this one.

They will be our 5th and 6th cruises, so we'll be silver for NYE and gold for this one. OMG, more lanyards for the collection that we never do anything with, lol.

I'm hoping they'll still do the special celebration for gold and above. We went to one the 2nd cruise when they were still doing them for CC members, but they stopped that by our 3rd cruise and I've been grumbling ever since.

We're in PA but used to live in FL.

We're in 6138 and 6140--I'm really looking forward to mornings having coffee on my verandah!

I've been looking at the B2B with the NYE cruise...for us it would be $8k....can't swing that and even if we could I'm too cheap to pay that! I know there won't be any discounts for that cruise so we'll be spending the week at Disney starting 12/29.

I asked DH if he would rather check out 1/2 and drive over to spend the night at the port and he said no, he'd rather check out 1/3 and drive over. Me thinks that will make for a long day but he does the driving so have at it.

We're doing the NYE on DVC points, this cruise on cash. Trust me, there are few people cheaper than me, so I know what you mean!

Driving from WDW to the port should only take you about an hour and a half or less, so it's really not all that bad. We make it from the airport in about 45 minutes.

This will be our first Disney cruise...CAN.NOT.WAIT!

We are from PA and I think our cabin is 9452...we are on Deck 9 but not sure that's the number.

We decided we are definitely not doing WDW before as crowds are forecasted to be particularly bad from 12/30 -1/2 since NYE is Sunday and most will have off on Monday. Even I (being more of a anything-goes attitude when it comes to Disney than my DH) couldn't justify the more expensive stay with worse crowds. So we may spend a night at a WDW resort the night before the cruise and then four nights afterwards at Pop Century. Have to wait until Aug to see deals.

Downside is our DD will miss two weeks of school (9 days) after Christmas break. That will be rough and we still aren't sure it's what we will/should do.

Well, hello neighbor, in more ways than one! We're from PA (just outside Philly) and in 9555!

Wise decision as for WDW! Been at the parks , never going during holiday season again!!!

Can someone teach me how to post a picture here? I have a pic of the Magic Kingdom on Dec 27 th last year, I bet it will scare you, LOL!

My daughter will miss school days too. The NY cruise is too expensive for us and her school gets back right after. She will miss a full week of classes.

To post a picture go to photobucket and start an account it is free or any other photo site.
Then it lets you up load from your computer.

They have codes you can use to cut and paste over here.

Then come here and see when you post there is a yellow postage stamp square ...with mountians on it ( above where the font etc. is) . Click that and paste your IMG code for your picture there.

If it doesn't show the picture check to see if hpptt..is not there twice just take one set out and you should see your picture in the preview if it is right. You can delete one of the IMG at the end too or it will be beside your picture when you post.

Hope that makes sense....

Hi all!

Our Family is from Massachusetts. We have cruised before but never on Disney. We are looking forward to the Disney experience! We are in cabins 6652 and 6654. Looking forward to spending NYE at BWV and then popping over to Hollywood studios for the fireworks.

This was the Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland on December 27th last year. Scary!

it was like that the beginning of March when we were over there....I'm sure we'll hit MK one day but probably spending most of the time at the quieter parks, etc - just relaxing before the cruise.....
