My dd is the same age as yours - turning 12 about a month after the cruise. We are surprising her though or I would have suggestedthem becoming email pals. She still talks to her "bff" from our last cruise.

Wow! Was checking staterooms for our cruise for a family of friends on the DCL site and only the most expensive ones are still available!!!!

I think we'll sail on a fully booked cruise!

I am on the quest for airline tickets... haven't found any good deals yet, though... :sad1:

We might really end up driving... Let's see...
I keep looking to maybe change to two cabins, etc and there is nothing available for this cruise....wonder where all the DIS'ers are??

Hi all!
We just booked this cruise!:) DH and I will be joined by our (by then) 6 y/o DS and my DH's parents. We've booked 2 staterooms side by side. This will be our first time on the Dream.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a great deal with Delta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 tickets Detroit/Orlando/Detroit for little less than 700 dollars, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll arrive in Orlando on Dec 31st........ Guess no one wants to fly on NY Eve, that's maybe why I got such a deal!

Now I'm on the lookout for a pre-cruise hotel, and I guess this time off property... The prices at WDW are insane on the holidays!!!

Hi everyone!!!:wave2:

We booked about a month ago and I just found this thread. :goodvibes This is our 5th cruise with Disney but its been about 7 years since our last one. This is actually a Christmas present for our 2 girls and they won't know about it until Christmas day.:santa:

Lets see, it will be me, DH, DD (17, almost 18 at the time of the cruise) , DD (11) and our oldest DD's BF (19). We have 2 cabins 8608 and 8610. I can't tell you how excited I am. lol We did a cruise recently with Royal Caribbean, and while we had a great time, it wasn't the same as a Disney cruise. We never did a Dis Meet or fish extenders before, so this is all new for me.

We are also flying in on 12/31 and we are staying at the BWI. I'm a little nervous about the crowds at the parks, because we have always gone in the off season, but we plan on returning in May of 2013.

Anyway, can't wait to get to know everyone and hopefully get some tips since its been so long since we cruised with Disney.

Welcome to our group!!!! Our last cruise with Disney was on the Magic last N Years ( just like the one we're going on, 5 nights with a Castaway Cay double dip ) , if there is anything I can help with, just let me know!!!:cutie:

welcome to the newcomers!!!

Another gorgeous day here in Florida! Theresa sounds like you got a great deal! I had to get 2 new tires last week...cost $500+....the whole time I was thinking, um....that could be going towards the CRUISE!!!

Anyone have special plans for the holiday weekend? We are going out to dinner on Friday with the Outlawz (inlaws) for our Easter dinner....we may go to Jungle Gardens that day as they are having a bunny trails and easter tails somethingoranother......and not sure about Saturday and Sunday...I'll have to hide some egss for sure!

Lillygator, I was beyond happy because all fares I had checked previously were over a thousand dollars for the three of us!

No big plans for Easter. We don't have any family here in MI, we are here by ourselves, so no big festivities... We are originally from Brazil, so flying home for Easter is out of the question for obviou$ reasons, LOL!

My daughter is also not a big fan of sweets, she chose the new Sharpay( from High School Musical) DVD as her Easter gift... adding to that, the weather here is so disgusting ( raining and cold) that egg hunting would require rain boots, yuck!

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theresa--I hear you on the weather. DH has family east of Lansing, and they always blame us for their weather, saying we send it to them :rolleyes1 I certainly hope we can send you guys some warm weather soon!

Another Michigan DISer here who is booked on this cruise! First time cruiser :)

I am friends with NAB and am looking forward to spending some time with her and her family and glad I have an experienced cruiser to consult with :thumbsup2

Thanks, Theresa-MI! Hope I can find a decent air fare now that gas prices have spiked

Minnie Moo, are you flying out of Detroit? If so, Delta has the best fares. I tried each and every airline and Delta beat them all, plus you get non stop flights!

:)

Good Morning , everyone!

Minnie Moo, I had never thought of checking fares out of Flint!!! Hope you get a great deal too!

Sea World has a promotion advertised on their site, adults at kid prices! If anyone is planning on visiting the park, make sure to check their page!
