Disney Dream January 21-23 2011

No problem, I have tons! Everyone who wants some, please post how many adults and kids are in your party, so I bring the right amount!

I'd like one! :) I'm pretty sure my parents wouldn't want them, but I'll let my mom post if she wants one or not.

So if this doesn't count as a CC cruise then I guess we should bring lanyards with us? Or maybe there will be special one for the preview cruise that they give out?

I can't wait until the Jan 7th cruise gets back!! Then we should know something about what to expect. 35 days... :woohoo:

LW Questie - Thanks for the offer. I'll take 1 adult and 1 child. DH doesn't wear anything.

Disney friends are flying out today at 1 p.m. to Amsterdam and then they'll make their way to the ship. They are beyond excited. They heard everything isn't finished on the interior so they might be put to work. Don't you know they'll have a great time bringing the Dream back to its new home port. I'm not sure who was more excited the parents or their 8 year old. We'll get to see it soon. Hope those of us who get to wave it into port can get together on the bus ride over and get acquainted.

We found out late yesterday we will be joining you all on this one.

Me, Dh, dd19, dd16, dd14, dd9, dd8 and ds8.

Thrilled to get this opportunity and we will cruising on the maiden voyage on January 26th too.

Going to stay in town and take the kids to visit Universal/Harry Potter in between cruises.

So excited and can't wait to get more details. Currently two balcony rooms on deck 7 (but of course we know it's subject to change until the last minute).

thank you for keeping tabs :)

Our son will actually be with us also (16)
If you have any left we will also partake of some wristbands

as others have said we are planning on being at the terminal pretty early
With the shortness of the cruise we want to spend as much time as possible exploring

See you all soon

Thanks for the updated list!!

I have decided to opt out of the FE this time, because of the short amount of time on the ship, and I'm traveling with 9 people 10 including myself, in 5 different state rooms so I've had enough fun getting door decorations printed!

I'm def. game to meet up with a few of you that will be welcoming the ship on Jan 4th! I already plan on meeting Deb so anyone else is welcome to meet up with us too!

I plan on bring our old lanyards, just in case they don't had out new/special cruise ones! (I'm hoping they do)

I've heard there will be no Pirate night:headache:, which I'm kinda disapointed as I would have loved to see fireworks this cruise, and you would think with this being a charity cruise with the many kids that are going they would do the fireworks. I know things might change or the CM I spoke to really didn't know:confused3

I'm not sure about any formal nights, but we always dress up for dinner anyways, so we will be at least doing that!:goodvibes

Thank you for keeping track!! I was in charge of our FE of my last cruise and I know how much work goes into this. Thank You AGIAN!!

:goodvibes I'm just keeping track because I like to make lists, not because I'm heading up the FE/SE :scared1:

I keep going back and forth on doing it also, for the same reason as others. Short time, new ship, want to explore, must focus. I think I'm going to be out of the FE/SE, but I'm keeping track of bracelets!:banana::banana:

Im not 100% sure what an FE is but just wanted to go on record that we won't be participating.

Like everyone else said.... To much ship to explore and to little time!!!!

Just letting you know, I'm paintedredroses (obviously) and off_to_neverland is my mom, so you've got two too many people listed there.

my parents want wristbands too :)

And is anyone still willing to do FE??? I was really looking forward to doing them since I never have before and am sad to see that everyone is bailing on them.

Yes, I still want to do the FE. They are so much fun and my grandson has never gotten to do one. Even if there are just a few of us it'll still work out. I want him to have that experience and I want to do the FE so I can say I did an FE on one of the first Disney Dream cruises - maybe I'll have the first fish extender for my room. Who knows? It will be fun for the new people who have never done one. I don't mind making extra gifts since it looks like we'll be a small group.

Thanks! I updated. I'll go back later today and add stateroom #s and re-organize :)

Can somebody explain what an FE is. I've tried to search for it but haven't found any real info explaining the details. I might change my mind and do one depending on what it is and if I have the time to prepare for it.

Please..... :flower3:

FE stands for Fish Extender. A fish extender is a fabric pocket organizer that is hung from the metal fish outside of your Disney Cruise Line stateroom door. The metal fish is used by DCL Cast Members to deliver letters to your stateroom. The pocket organizer hangs on the fish so it's called a "fish extender" or FE for short. There are directions on how to make a no-sew Fish Extender in the Frequently Asked Questions Thread on the first page of the DCL forum. I participated in an FE gift exchange on our last cruise. It was my first time participating in an FE gift exchange and it was fun finding little presents in the FE throughout our cruise! We delivered our presents the first night. It didn't take very long and it actually allowed us to explore the different floors on the ship.

I will gladly organize the FE for this cruise if no one else is interested. Just let me know.

MereDisney - Thank you so much offering to head up the FE.:worship::worship: I flirted with the idea but to be honest I would be completely lost so I'm so happy that you will be willing to do it. I've kept a list of the yes and no - so far we have 25 adults and 5 children - 9 rooms so hopefully it won't be too hard to coordinate. I started on my gifts yesterday - nothing fancy mind you. It is just fun to go back to your room and find a little something in your FE. Again thanks for volunteering. Anna
