I asked when I booked this yesterday about the Castaway Club and was told that it wouldn't count, however I should bring the number along just in case.

So I am taking bets now, can my daughter actually pack in just one suitcase for a 2 night cruise? I say no!

I was actually just wondering the same thing...can I fit my stuff in one smaller suitcase? For two days...maybe. We'll see!!

We're booked! I am so excited. It will be my DH,DGS, and me. I waited by the phone all day yesterday and no call. I had left a message on their machine and also sent them an e-mail when the offer was posted on-line. I was getting nervous but then someone called this morning. I was gone but my DH told them that we wanted to book. We got early dining but we didn't get a room number. I'll call Monday to see if I can get a room number. I have been following this ship for the past year. I can't wait to see it. It is nice that all proceeds will go to the Boys/Girls Clubs. I don't mind not getting credit for our castaway account. I can just stay Gold. Do you think we could do a 1 night FE? Sure hope they still have the fish hanger outside the door. Has anyone seen a picture of a door? Can we put things on the door? I can't wait to check out the ship and all the amenities - this is so neat. We will be on the 5th cruise. They said on one thread there is three media/bigwig cruises on Jan.7,11,14 then a Christening/Sweepstakes cruise on the 19th, then our cruise, then one on the 23rd for TAs and the Inaugural Cruise on the 26th. I hope our room still has that new smell to it.

Did you get a confirmation number? If so you can plug that into the website to see your room assignment. I asked which room I had when they called yesterday. I didn't think they would be assigned but they were. She did tell me that the room number could change as they might be shifting CMs around. I hope not though, I have an outside room Deck 7. I like the idea of the FE. I've never done on before, but on a short cruise, it might be fun.

Oh I hope we can still put stuff on the doors. Gotten too used to decorating them, couldn't imagine having a naked door ever again.

I saw a picture somewhere, and there is for sure still a fish outside the door...but it could be a seashell or a seahorse also, according to what one person over on our MV meet thread said. A little variety!!

My DH got my grandson's name spelled wrong and his birthday wrong but at least he paid the bill He always says I'm not a "happy camper" unless I'm planning a cruise - so true I will be glad to coordinate the FE unless someone else wants to do it. You can list your names/ages here on the thread or PM me. I have my FE already made from our last cruise - now I need to work on door decorations. Can you believe we are getting to do this? I've been pinching myself all day.

I think we asked for the sitting time when they called back. I could be wrong, when my mom posts in morning, she'll know for sure (she's off_to_neverland btw )

At least he got the important part right! Those mistakes can always be fixed later, not paying, not so much.

Feel free to coordinate Our family has never been a part of FEs so we have no experience with them. (But I know I'm very excited to finally be a part of one )

When they called me, they asked if I wanted early or late seating for dinner and which show. Since the early seatings usually go first, maybe by the time they called you there wasn't a choice. We picked the 7:00 show and 8:30 dinner.
Did the agent give you their name and number in case you had questions? I know I shortened my husband's name last year when I originally made the reservation (Dan for Daniel) and they told me it had to be corrected before we got to the cruise terminal.
Thanks for offering to organize the FE. We have never participated in a FE, so we are looking forward to this.

I do think they are closed for the weekend. We were going to book on Friday, but my friend said if she couldn't get ahold of them by 5pm on Friday, she would have to call back on Monday. I hope you get onboard -- this is going to be very special and a lot of fun -- and way better than where I am today as its 25, snowing, and blowing!!

Awww I hope that's not the case. I'm ok with it if it is though. I'm just so psyched to be going. I know 100% goes towards the Boys and Girls Club so maybe you are correct.

This is the case! This cruise will not count towards castaway club. I don't mind as long as I'm on that ship!!

We are stilling waiting for Monday as well, as my best friend, her husband, mom and dad are still waiting to book. I'm also waiting to book two more friends! So hoping for a miracle on Monday!!! Fingers crossed for everyone!!!

I don't think that it counts towards your castaway club, but it DID show up on my castaway club page today.

I can't wait for this cruise -- what a fun opportunity to go on this special preview cruise!

I'm also excited because there will be a lot of locals on board, and i'm hoping to meet some people -- my DH and I are just moving to the Orlando area. He's there already, and i'm waiting for our house up here in the tundra to sell before moving. We will be living somewhere around Winter Garden when we move -- and it can't happen too soon, I am so over this snow and freezing (not by FL standards, LOL) weather!!

I want to thank everyone for the information about this cruise. I have a family member who is a CM and I can now say that DH & I are officially going on this cruise!! We're on the 6th deck in a veranda room! Oh....and I'd love to take part in a FE if we have one.

Thanks to those who have posted their names and ages - I only need ages for kids and if they are a boy/girl - some spellings/names you aren't sure. I forgot to say I'll need Room numbers so we can leave your surprises in your FE. I've got a running list going - we might be a small number for our FE exchange but it'll still be fun especially for those who haven't done one before.

I already got started on my door decorations - I should say my friend in Canada is doing them for me. I certainly hope we can still put magnetic sheets on our door - that is how I find my door.

I heard at work today that they've had unbelievable response to this charity cruise. I was told they filled their quota on Thursday so they opened up more rooms for us. I sent an e-mail on Thursday night and left a message on their phone Friday morning. The agent didn't call till around 9 a.m. yesterday morning (Saturday). Five people from our department are going that I have heard about. Some departments aren't letting any more get off. I guess they've had a lot of requests.

I will call tomorrow to change the spelling of my grandson's name. I do know they won't let you on if it isn't completely correct.

I too wonder if we'll have Pirates Night and I can't wait to see what shows we will see and what venues we'll eat in. I haven't told my grandson - it is going to be a Christmas surprise. He watches the video on my computer of the AquaDuck constantly. Also I'm going to surprise him and take him parasailing - hope it is warmer than it is today.

My DH and I and a co-worker of mine and his wife will be on this cruise! We got our call back on Saturday to book and we are all set on deck 7! Very excited, can't wait to see the new ship!
