Yes, Virginia....there is a Santa Claus!!! Just got a call from event services that a few verandah cabins opened up and we are now going on the preview cruise!!! They said they are going in exact order of call and emails they received!!!

Luv2cruisedisney - I love the magnet you created for the Boys/Girls Club. Would you mind sending me a copy so I can put it on my door too. I will PM you my e-mail address as I'm definitely not the most computer literate person to get it off our thread. I will be glad to send you some money in case you need to buy more sheets for boys/girls club doors - don't want anyone left out. I'll contribute candy, pens, and writing pads for their bags. I'll also be glad to help bag things up if you just give me a time and room number. My grandson's big goal is to be first on the Aquaduck before Nana - other than that obligation when we first get on the boat - I'm free to help. I'm sure I'll be exploring the ship into the "wee" hours of the morning.

I just found out that we are going on this same dates. I was a little bit disappointed first because I thought it was going to be a 3 nighter and it's only 2 nights instead, but the more I think about it, the more I get excited about this!
We are going with a group of 4 families. We are 7 in my family: DW (36), DD (5), DS (3), DD (2), DS (6 months), DD (6 months) and myself. From what I understand, my family will be in 2 connecting verandah rooms.
Does anyone know what the itinerary is going to be like?

Yay!! I'm so glad you got the call!! How lucky are you! I'm sorry you will have to cancel to see your friends as you menitioned before, but hey there's only once that you can sail this unique oppertunity and I'm glad you are joining!!!

Thank you for the warm welcome! I just hope it's warm enough in Castaway Cay to get in the water! I was wondering about departure time and return time. It sounds like we might stay in Castaway Cay until late on Saturday night, huh?

I haven't seen a specific timeline itinerary, so I'm guessing the Castaway Cay day will be around 8am-4:30pm, as usual.

Thanks for all the welcomes.....I am so dang excited I can't stand it!!! I can see my friends at another time as they don't live far from us but it would have been cool to see them at WDW.

I have to rearrange some WDW ressies but that should not be a problem and I have to tell my FIL that our visit will be shorter than expected.

I was making my chocolate covered pretzels for Christmas (I don't do Christmas cookies) and I heard my cell but could not get to it in time....I then saw it was from DCL and I wondered why they would be calling me.....I thought maybe I was getting an upgrade on the MV!!! But they left a message and said it was the preview cruise and to call back ASAP as it was first come first served......

When I got back in touch with them they told me that a few verandah cabins were released for bookings and they were going in the exact order they received calls or emails...they were trying to be very fair with the whole process. We are midship on Deck 7 but I forget the cabin number...I will have to go look at my notes.

So excited to be going and to see everyone onboard!!! I thought I read that some people had their ressie for this cruise show up on their cruise list at the DCL site? Mine is not showing up at the castaway club site....I know it does not count towards the total cruises but I thought it would show up in the list.

Glad you were able to get on the cruise! We are also with you on the Maiden Voyage (going to do a Harry Potter/Universal in between for the kids).

I can pull up my cruise by just logging in with the confirmation number and birth date. Cannot pull it up via the Castaway Club though.

We did the Harry potter/Universal for Thanksgiving..really impressed with the detail!! We have been on a cruise with you before if you are who i think you are (Jeanne?) Very excited about this preview cruise!!!!!!
