To all of my family members here on this thread,,,,, I want to let you know that Billy,,,,, despite some relatively bad grades,,,, and with stellar ACT and SAT scores,,,, has been accepted to attend college at Kettering University in Flint Michigan, his first choice. He wants to do engineering. They are known as a smaller school, but, have immense connections with business for co-ops.
In the past, they were known as General Motors Institute.

I don't know what came over me today....I just booked the January 30th cruise on the Dream to make the MV and that a back to back cruise!!! Snagged one of the large corner Cat 9A rooms on Deck 8, Cabin 8504 for the January 30th cruise (which is hubby's b'day). Very excited but I think he will go nuts if I tell him (he thinks I am obsessed as it is). This will be our little secret but I had to share with someone!!!

MJ

We have 8504 for the MV and we are staying B2B also! We are moving to a "virtual" inside stateroom just down the hall for the 1/30 cruise. They asked me if I really wanted to move. I said "YES" I want to check out another stateroom category so I want to move. They probably think we are all a little off kilter!

That's kewl Bill. Jamie is just finishing up her college application stuff. She is hoping to go to Brigham Young University and get accepted and receive a scholarship in the Musical Dance Theater Dept.

Yep MJ, doing a B2B but staying in the same room. So sounds like we are next door neighbors instead of a cabin or two between like originally thought of on the MV.

Ok.. it's November 19 now soooooo.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEN!!

Originally my 2 friends and I were going to be in one cabin. Then I talked hubby into coming so we got another cabin and my two friends are in a cabin. I got mixed up to what room number we moved to!!

Do we know how many kids and their ages will be on the ship. My DD loves making new friends in the kids club.

Wow

I missed a few days on the boards and I missed alot of conversation.

Hey Mickey&JoshNut did you check out Great Wolf Lodge for the water coaster?

I think I read somewhere that one of the DVC properties has a watercoaster, maybe Disney is testing it out there?

I agree with lots of posts about sleeping out under the stars to get on the Aquaduck early...maybe we should just get to port super early to be on the boat quickly and go right to the Duck?

OK - Busy day today with the travel time to Florida. Got to Nashville and found out we were delayed 2 hours! We were trying to make it to WDW to get to a ticket office before closing so I could get my Birthday gift card and meet Leslie at the Polynesian for a Dole Whip.

Anyway, finally landed in Orlando at 7:30pm. Got the rental and headed out to Epcot. Got to a ticket booth by 8:30 and got the gift card (hey - $79 is nothing to sneeze at!). Then went over to the Polynesian to meet Leslie. We had some time to kill so we went into the Wyland Gallery.

Well, long story-short, I had seen a Manatee piece by Wyland last April that I thought would look great in the Florida house. But it was very expensive. Anyway, as we are looking around the shop, I spotted the piece and said "hey look, the Manatee". Then I noticed a poster next to the piece that said "Happy Birthday Ken, Love Shari".

Needless to say, my jaw hit the floor. Shari had been working on this surprise for 6 months and I had no idea. So, even with the travel delays, it was a great birthday! And thanks to everyone who posted birthday wishes today!!

Oh wow what a wonderful surprise. I loved the Wyland gallery and was very tempted by one of the sting rays when I was there in September.

Happy belated birthday. :bday: Have a great trip.

OK, realized in the excitement that I did not give all the required info to get on the list!

My daughter has already asked me if we could sleep out at the port the night before so we can be first on the ship and the aquaduck!

I'm going to do some checking to make sure the doors will be "magnetized" on the new ship so we can put magnets on them.....
