Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011!

I still can't believe we will be fortunate enough to be among the first to experience the Dream. We are giving this to our daughter as a christmas present, and telling her it is just her and I going (which won't be a surprise since she and I are the family travelers) We leave for Florida on my husband's birthday.....he's going to take us to the airport and then turn up to check in with us.....that should be a good surprise!

We are in cabin 8040, and will be gold after this cruise. We are early dining.

We're back and all I can say is that I don't think we'll be cheating on Mickey again....while the cruise on the Carnival Dream was really good...it just wasn't Disney....and I did miss seeing Mickey everyday....now we did run into Mickey a few times onboard, he was in disguise.....we think he was trying to check out the competition!!!! Here's proof he was onboard

I was lucky enough to have my hubby rush home from the fire house this morning to get breakfast started before all the kids woke up. The kicker today was my mother's day gift from the family... the Disney Vacation Club Membership I've been dreaming of since we took our first trip there years ago! I've been informed that this is my mother's day, birthday, and Christmas gift for the next 50 years but I've never been more surprised!

This just fuels my fire about our cruise in Jan! We can't wait!

Can someone explain what the stateroom tours are and what happens at them? Is this Disney sponsored or this forums? Does whom ever is arranging the tour just ask people on this board who are ok with allowing guest to come into their stateroom to see what they are like? Are their freebies in the staterooms or little gifts?

I have heard about this but was unsure what it really is and what they do. I have heard people doing the tour and getting gifts other than FE gifts? Is their a signup sheet for the MV of the Dream?
