Disney Dream Cruisers November 27, 2011

A little sad we missed the FE deadline our kids loved it last time, our last cruise had the deadline about 3 weeks out but can totally understand why this one was early. It was a lot to get all of that together last time and don't know if we could even pull it off with this short notice.
Excited, hope to get to know some of you. Is there a Facebook group for this cruise? Our cruise in April had a group and it was so fun to get to 'know' everyone before we sailed.

Running on adrenaline this morning after a late night figuring out booking and online checkin stuff!

I was a late add on, myself - I was just so busy with work that I didn't get on here to do my usual intel gathering before a trip. However, don't hesitate to let us know where you are. I know I still have to make my gifts, so, we can drop a little pixie dust around.

There is a FB group. Dreaming of the Holidays - November 27, 2011. It is a closed group, so you have to get approved, but, many of us are over there.

ANd remember that great phrase from the pre-cruise document pack - "Relax. You're on vacation." It's all good, dude. Welcome aboard.

Well, my FE plans have now hit a snag... had most of my items ready and just wanted to pick up a couple more items, then my DW came home last night and let me know her company let her go.

Sooo... really glad I had already paid for most of the trip

This will now be a great encourage and recharge trip for her... can't wait!

Dude, ask any Navy guy - that's a "boat". We're going on a "ship". The chief difference being, I believe, a ship can carry smaller craft (boats), while a boat, generally, cannot carry any smaller craft.

Either way, as long as the "buffet that is not a buffet" is open, and the pirate party is still on, I don't care!!

That sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before. (to quote an old cartoon I used to like)

The upshot is that it is a cruise, and the food is included, as is the room and the scenery. The same thing happened to me a week before my wedding. It was the best "gift" I could have gotten. I had time to relax, unwind, destress, and mentally prepare myself for the upcoming job hunt. And, the crap that was at the office was no longer a stressor any more. I was free of that albatross.

Thoughts and prayers are with you guys. See you on board the ship.

Also last time had the experience of people adding at the last minute after we'd already bought/made everything so I don't want to be the one adding frustration to peoples cruise plans!!!

I hear the ship will be decorated for Christmas and on Castaway Cay they make snow out of bubble. (we were told this by our travel agent.) We will be taking our Christmas card pictures on this trip.

If you go online to DCL site and go to section where you book onboard dining, etc. there is a place you can select "Gifts and Amenitites". There are a few cute little packages they will send to your cabin, and several of those would be nice for Birthday... check it out

We are so sorry to hear of your wife's job loss. This happened to my hubby a few years back, and it was a blessing in disguise for him, too. He went on to complete his CPA, and a new career path. We'll keep her in our prayers that she'll find something even better... soon.

Don't stress over fancy FEs, any little thing will be a treat!!

I am just missing one cabin number! For Kadillon, I am able to give FE gifts to everyone, just need the cabin numbers!!

It is finally getting close - just over 2 weeks...my class will be done on the 22nd!!! That is great news, originally I was going to have to figure out how to stream video for the class (the ships internet connection is slow, and blocks Skype and other streaming)...Now I don't have to worry about it!!

I am SO looking forward to this trip....my DGF's first Disney Cruise...

It's my daughter's 4th birthday on the cruise too! On November 27th. We ordered the Happy Birthday package to be put in our room - comes with a banner, a cake, etc. I think it was $49. I've also been told to tell the waiter at dinner that it's her birthday. We are in room 6098 if you want the girls to meet! I also have a 6 year old son, and it's my bday on the 30th.

That is so fun! I'm sure we'll be at the meet. 3pm by the duck right? I'm glad its up by the pools. Last time both families were at the pool and just the moms went to the dis meet.

oh yeah, did I mention we have another family coming with us? Good friends of ours LOL in adjoining cabins that could get interesting!!! They did FE last time but this time I think they are just going to bring theirs and pack some little gifts to put in it for their kids due to the late notice.

We have sailed the Magic and Wonder around Christmas and the decorations on the ship and Castaway Cay are beautiful We will be taking Christmas card photos as well --- actually am hoping that you can still order photo cards directly from Shutters, so easy that way.
