Hey everyone! My name is Casey. I'm new to the disboarder posting world but long time reader! I am a former crew member (I worked in the kids club on all three ships!) and my boyfriend is still on the Dream. Well, I'm going to cruise with him, but he works crazy hours (as do the rest of my friends on the ship!) so if there are any adult meet and greets I'd love to tag along if you don't mind? and meet some other avid Disney Fans! Can you please tell me how it works with the Christmas Cards? I would love to order mine with a cruise photo but have no clue how to go about doing it!

Hi -

It was really easy, Shutters offered 'photo cards' as an option to purchase. They had several background choices (we chose a Castaway Cay beach scene with a sand 'snow' man) all you do is choose a photo taken on the cruise and your greeting and they take care of creating & printing the photo cards. I seem to remember not being impressed with the envelopes - they were plain - but the cards were cute and unique and the convenience, well worth it. We will be ordering ours again, if this option is still available.

We will be meeting at 3pm by the aquaduck. We have never been on the Dream, but have been on the Magic and Wonder several times over the last couple of years. Do you know Joshua tiedeman? He was on our first disney cruise in 2009 on the Magic.

Post #4 of the thread, on page 1 lists all of the families that are on this list. While it is late to get in on this one, as many are already finished with their gifts, there may be some extras, and others who can whip up some extras or something. HallsInTheKingdom is the one organizing it. You might want to send her a PM.

Lots of us on this cruise!!! not sure where you're only seeing one? Fish Extender gifts vary from small bags of candy, stickers, beads/coins for kids to things from your hometown, to just about anything you think would be a nice treat to share with others. It works like any other gift exchange and many of the good people on this one have been kind enough to include us even though we signed up late.

There are threads where you can see gifts that people have given/received....last time we got things like candy, magnets, beads, CDs, cups, photo frames, etc. without giving away what we are planning for this one haha....

Better late than never!! I am good for more folks....HallsInTheKingdom is the organizer, I know she has some folks at the bottom of the list.

The list was officially closed about 6 weeks ago, but some folks are able to make (or have obtained) enough extras to ensure the late joiners can participate. You may not receive gifts from every other cabin, but keep track and gift those who gift you is my suggestion.

Welcome aboard!!! I find the FE is a great way to explore the ship...and check out the decorations for other cabins. As far as the actual FE? I would suggest using a christmas stocking or some other cute hanging item that will hook over the "fish" (they are actually not all fish on the Dream) that is near the door. (It is the mail hook where DCL will put messages to you during the cruise)

Thanks so much for responding! I love the stocking idea especially since it is the Cruise for the Holidays! Thanks for the suggestion! Since I have only posted 3 whole times now the DIS board won't let me do a private message so I hope HallsIntheKingdom sees our request. We will be right on top of this next time! I have an awesome idea for our gift....so atleast I will be prepared to bring joy to other families. Only 11 more days to go! Thanks again!

There will be a meet the day we set sail @ ‎3 PM deck 12, aft, by the Aquaduck entrance. Please try to have someone from your group attend, I know there will be some pictures taken and other goodies exchanged there.

Also was thinking about adding a meet for drinks on Monday night after Nassau day. I would love to hear some time and location suggestions.

And feel free to plan other meets as well. I know not everyone will be able to/want to meet for certain things.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone and making some great memories. Who knows, maybe leave the ship with some great new freinds!!!!!

Will any of you bring true "semi-formal" wear for semiformal night? I mean, I don't have my prom dress anymore... For dinners was just thinking of nice slacks/skirts and blouses for me, khakis and polo for DH and DS, dress for DD. Thoughts? Thanks! Tish
