Disney Dream - April 3, 2011 - 4 nights

Okay...here goes another long weekend! Baseball tourney starts tomorrow...15 teams in our age bracket over 60 teams total. Apparently a baseball magazine is going to be there...it's a pretty big event...all major teams in Virginia are going to be there. Weather is supposed to be nice...today it was 82! And sunny! Tomorrow is supposed to be more like in the upper 60's...but we will take it!

Well tonight we were all tucked in watching a Red Box movie when DS screamed and we ran upstairs to find him throwing up in bed I am hoping it is something he ate, NO MORE GERMS PLEASE!!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone!! Sunny here but has went cold again, and after our 65 degree day on Thursday...I'm ready for 70 something!! I'm been going to weather.com and looking at the temps in FL and Bahamas...can't wait! As a side note, on Thursday 40,000 people went to the Detroit Zoo!! Yes, we are ready for blue skys and hot sun The water was cold for us last time, but the kids didn't care

I think it's EbcLovesMickey, sorry kids are feeling , all I can say is, geeze, if anyone has to be sick...have it happen now! Too much fun is waiting for all of us to be feeling under the weather

jetskigirl, thanks for letting me know about MR I'd love to be able to see those big ships all the time, lucky peeps I'd just love that awesome warm weather all the time

We considered booking onboad for a MR same time next year. But, with those cruises being Sunday-Sun it makes it hard with the time difference(Indiana) to get a flight and get back here and go to work/school the next day. I think we would be wiped.

I am thinking maybe just visit Disneyland and other attractions for something new. I considered the Fantansy MV, but it was priced so high basically for bragging rights and possibly the ability to sail with a bunch of people likely ready to complain about the littlest thing.

I can't wait until we are in the single digits!!

Haha, watched back to back all three Pirates of the Carribean (sp?) today! Well, with a quick break for Megamind :] Got everyone all pumped up!! Less than TWO weeeeeks!!!!!

Luckily the barf-a-thon stopped last night around 4:30 and DS has been doing better today. Of course DH and I were both wiped! Let's just hope this gets over and done with and we are healthy and happy by the 3rd!

 

[Disney On A Dime!]

Small break here in between games...We won both games yesterday...against very hard opponents...were seeded fourth out of fifteen. We played at 9AM this morning and won that game...so now it's on to a 1PM game. The team we are playing beat us twice last weekend...however...last weekend was our very first time playing together...so maybe there is hope for a win today? You never know...baseball is all about errors and hits...Hopefully less errors and more hits for us!


UPDATE: We placed third in the entire tournament for 10Us. We played 5 baseball games total...and are wiped out! We have an easy weekend coming up...and then we go on vacation! Can't wait!!! Oh...and I still have to pack...


Exactly two weeks until we board the Dream! Let the Dream Begin!

Two weeks and my FE gifts are not finished yet!!!!! I hate not being ahead of schedule! What was I thinking having a Tupperware party this week?!

Woosh I'm hoping to meet up with you & your mother the 1st evening in Pink.

I'll be looking for everyone at the port, but not sure if I'll be doing the Rum Run.

Regarding the Rum Run discussion from earlier, I didn't really see that as a kid friendly event, my kids will remain on board with DH. The last thing I need is my kids telling their schoolmates that their mom dragged them to liquor stores on their Disney Cruise - I'll be kicked out of the PTA for sure. We may venture out later as a family to a day pass location - so I don't plan on taking too long, literally just a Rum Run (no Senior Frogs, etc) and then a carrying-heavy-bottles run back to the boat.

{{{{hugs}}}} I hope DS is still doing better!! My DS was sick to his stomach weekend before last and I was worried we were going to be spreading the stomach flu around the house too. But it must have been something he ate because he was good as new the next morning.

Yeah..less than two weeks now After the beating we got from the storm all day yesterday...I'm ready for some sunshine. It was pouring rain at our house yesterday and I was sorting through shorts and tank tops I just hope we have warm enough weather for them....

My Mom and I can probably stop by Pink also (depending on the time). I promised DD that I would go in there and get pictures for her. If it is late enough so that the kids are tucked in bed with a movie, DD is fine watching DS for a while.

I'm going to plan on going on the Rum Run myself too then (kids will hang out on the ship with my Mom). Since we have our Dolphin Swim on our second trip to Nassau, I think the rest the Rum Run day will be spent relaxing on the ship (drinking Rum drinks, of course, LOL).

The "stomach bug" visited our family a month or so ago...got all 5 of us! Working with people every day usually has my wife and I immune to such viruses, but this one was a nightmare. Good luck to any of you that are fighting this...you have less than two weeks to fight it off!

What time is everyone meeting in Pink? My wife loves the bubbly...it will depend on what the kids are doing as far if we can make it or not.

Now, who is going to help me get over my illness? I have come down with the "I'm going on the Dream in 13 days and can't concentrate on work" virus- it is highly contagious!!!!

Took DD (who will be 11 next week) shopping this weekend- thought I would need valium by the end of the day! My DH came along to make sure DD survived the trip. Basically, I can no longer suggest anything is cute, etc. or else she will not even consider it! I am so looking forward to the tween and teenage years!!!

Have you all decided what time you are getting to the terminal for check in?

Well we leave in 12 days, board the Dream in 13. I have begun packing which at this point means I have piles of clothes lined up in the computer room waiting for their spot in the suitcases. My son is the easiest to pack for, Me not so much and I don't even try to pack my daughter's stuff she is on her own. We are staying at Pop the night before the cruise, Happy Limo is dropping us off at the terminal around 11:30. Where are some of you planning on congregating in the terminal? What is it that you are using to identify yourself as a dis person on this board? I don't think we will be able to meet up on the Nassa morning as my mom and I have ressies for spa at 9:15 am and then our excursion meets at 11 a.m. I saw there was some interest in meeting at Pink on the first night. My mom and I will be there after 2nd seating dinner, so around 10:00 p.m. I am hoping to meet up with some of you while waiting in the terminal so I will try to have whatever it is you all are doing to identify yourself.
I am also planning on booking a cruise for next spring break while on board. I hope it works out for us. We want to do a 7 day the next time. We already know what dates our spring break is for 2012.
Well as we wind down the count down clock I am going to keep busy with some overtime, track meets and last minute shopping and packing. I can't believe I can say "we leave next week" YAY us!! Have a good week- Wendy

My 10 year old is still easy to shop for, it is DD7 going on 18 that I have my battles with. It took us over an hour to pick 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair capris and 2 tops. We agree on nothing. I don't think the tween years will get much better.

DS has been asking me almost every morning "Where is the Dream today?" So it was really nice this morning to say that two weeks from today we will be on Castaway Cay!!!!

DD usually is dressed in something that she can play soccer in (you never know when you may be called upon to get in on a game ). To my dismay this weekend she discovered Abercrombie ($$$- yikes)- she found some cute things there, so I did not dwell on the price this time (she is going to grow out of it in a couple of months- makes me crazy).

Tonight I am working on my checklists!

Question about pre-paying tips- do the CM's not care how they get their $$? I always thought they would prefer cash? It would be ones less thing for me to remember to take/hassle with.

DD has always been picky, but I usually could still shop for her and get it right, but I guess those days are over. Say a littler prayer for me tonight- DD has asked to go shopping for some shorts and flip flops!
