Hi All!

It's been a few weeks since I've had time to stop in and wow!! Loving the excitement you all have for pages and pages and...... I'm so jealous of the folks in Michigan - that is so cool!!

EcblovesMickey - I'm so sorry for your loss - I had to do the same with my college best 4 legged friend who saw me through college, into marriage, into motherhood -- might I suggest one of those stepping stones that you make yourself - my DD and I made one and I have it in the garden and it makes me smile when I see it

jetskigrl - Congrats to your son!!! That is so awesome! Having a daughter who also struggles - despite working twice as hard - I totally understand what an achievement this is!!

Our documents came over the weekend and I looked at the calendar and nearly fell over at the date Where did February go Glad that we are that much closer to the cruise - but I've got to get it into overdrive for my FE gifts!!

Thank you kikids for that great map of the ship with the Mickey's - it printed out nicely and will come in very handy in delivery. I always get very turned around on the ship doing deliveries and that was on the wonder - I can't imagine the Dream!

I just spent the past two hours working on organizing FE stuff! The more I do at home - the less I have to do on the ship!


Yes, I am beginning to think that a DISmeet on the morning of Nassau would be best. Arrival day is getting way too confusing... The one thing that I like to do on Nassau day is to go to the front of the ship...(It used to be right where the sports court is)...and watch as the ship pulls in. Mickey Mouse usually makes an appearance...Great photos! So we are supposed to port at 9:30AM...What time and where do you all want to meet prior to getting into Nassau? Ideas...thoughts...

jetskigrl - You guys are hooked to cruising...Already planning that third cruise...with the tax money! Great idea!!! My next suggestion...if you want warm and beautiful ocean...it's the western Caribbean! I love Grand Cayman and Cozumel...beautiful...beautiful...beautiful!

For Nassau morning, that sounds really cool. I wouldn't mind seeing that too. Would meeting somewhere at the front of the ship at 9:00 work?

Yeah, I knew that I would be hooked on cruising but I was really surprised that DH was hooked too (after he was so anti-cruising before). I think we are going to do the MR for Spring Break 2012. We have done back-to-back cross-country trips (WDW last August and then this trip) so financially we can't afford another one. The airfare for the 4 of us really hurts, LOL. So the MR cruise that leaves about 15 minutes from my house will cut down on a lot of expenses. Then, if DH is still loving it, I may try to get him to agree to go back to FL for a trip on the Fantasy the year after (crossing-fingers).

Thanks! We have the district Fair tomorrow night at a local high school. I have my finger's crossed that he will at least get a participate trophy.


OK, still no paperwork for our 4/7 cruise Maybe I had better take a closer look to make sure it wasn't combined. I guess we don't need luggage tags for the second cruise since our luggage won't be going anywhere, LOL.

Hey Everyone! We just got our cruise documents and the excitement is growing! I love the "30 sleeps till cruise" comment!.
I want to thank everyone for well wishes for DS. He is recovering well and SO ticked that he can't do PE or recess for another week. I fel bad for the teachers....he needs those times to run off some energy.

54 Disney-I have a DD that is 14 (will be 15 in April) hopefully they can hook up in the teen hangout. Their is another family mjvans that has a 14 yr old DD that will be on the cruise.

ECBlovesmickey- Sorry to hear about your dog. I went through the same thing with my cat Jake a few years back. He was my first "child" that I found abandoned as a kitten when I graduated from college. Treasure the memories and pics...I still do.

Kanga&2roos-glad to help you out on those storms...I don't know about you but these past 2 winters have been awful!!!

Jetskigirl- Glad to see another mother/daughter/kids travelers. Congrats to your son on his recent accomplishments. My son is in the same boat as yours...a big sister to follow with lots of accomplishments and makes it look so easy. As he gets older he is striking out on his own and has had his share of moments of glory.

I am all for a Dismeet on the Nassau Day and hopefully the time will work out. We have spa appt at 9:15 and our excursion is scheduled for 11.

jetskigrl, we got both of our cruise documenst for the b2b in one package, but we used a TA and he sent them to us, so he may have received them at different times, I am not sure.

I am working on our FE gifts this weekend *if* I can find the things I need tomorrow while the little one is in Mother's Morning Out. lol

Hum, interesting. Our documents came directly to us from DCL (even though we used a TA also). But I double-checked and it is just the 4/3 cruise so I am hoping the 4/7 cruise docs show up soon. They did send my Mom's (for the 4/3 cruise only)directly to her house also and the 4/7 ones haven't showed up there yet either.

Good luck with the FE gifts I am almost done with my FE gifts for the first cruise. I still need to assemble the ones for the second cruise. Hum, maybe I will work on that this weekend.

Thanks Woosh for letting me know about you and mjvans! We hope to find time to pm with the teens so that DD15 already knows some kids. Our first cruise, no girls her age in the clubs!

A lot going on today but it's all good! Looking forward to vacation, 17 is just too cold for me! Icy rain tonight....snow maybe this weekend! CASTAWAY CAY TAKE ME AWAY!!!!! Zumba tonight so atleast I'll feel like I'm in a tropical location!

Wow, I should have recorded it when I told DS5 that he could ride the duck--his reaction was priceless!

Everyone is getting very impatient around here waiting for the final countdown. Heidi--I'm with you on this MI weather, we've got the rain/snow/ice in the weekend forecast too & I am so ready for this to be over. Makes me even more ready to get those suitcases packed!

I'm hoping things improve for port checkin by the time we sail--they've got to come up with something to move things along. I wonder why they won't enforce the check-in times, or at least have a separate line for those who arrive at their designated time? I'm glad we have so many dissers reporting on their experience so we are prepared for the situation. Keeping my fingers crossed for no rain that morning at least!

ours came in two different envelopes from DCL and yes, we use All Seas Travel as our TA.

The information in the book includes details from our online booking (flights, excursions, palo), so we may have received this based on our completing all the on-line forms a few weeks ago.

checking our cruise on disneycruise.com, it says "Only 30 days until your cruise sets sail!"

I think a meet on monday (Nassau) at 9:00am will work for us.

Big Note: Thanks a bunch to whoever put out the reminder about checking kid's summer clothing sizes! The shorts are okay...might be a little tight on the older one...but the khakis and the bathing suits! So I have been doing some shopping... We are really down to crunch time!


Gotta love vacations!!! Hey - pretty soon we will be able to get the 10 day forecast for Cape Canaveral and the Bahamas!!! Here's hoping for warm, sunny skies, and calm beautiful water!

Rainy weekend here in GA - so I will be starting (and hopefully finishing) my FE gifts! So glad we don't have the cold weather you poor MI folks have - it's a early spring here and all of our allegeries have kicked into high gear - the trees and some flowers are blooming - early spring is here

I hit the craft stores today and I think I am spending tomorrow morning working on our FE gifts. Since we're doing 2 cruises I am making dififerent things for each cruise

I am so far behind, I had to go back to page 60 to catch up! Did we decide on a meet time yet? Did I read something about 9am the first day?

Got our FE gifts in the mail, have to work on them still though. Still have to get the kids to try on some summer clothes. I really don't know if any of them will fit, gotta get them moving, I've been asking them for weeks! Did buy them all new sandles though. So much to do and it is coming up on us so fast! Getting excited.

I spent this morning working on some of my FE gifts. We are getting very excited, LESS THAN A MONTH until we sail!!!

The weather here is yucky, we had to switch our heat back on. We went out to dinner with my folks and all my DS could talk about was his cruise. When we get back there will be no shutting him up about it too, poor grandparents are in for a play by play of the cruise I am sure! Oh well, we invited them to come too
