Disney Dream - April 3, 2011 - 4 nights

Crystal, have a safe trip! I hope you get good weather and have a great time!

Yeah! :cheer2: I was put on hold at 7AM this morning to make the Candlelight Processional reservation...was told the wait was 14 minutes...and within 21 minutes was making the reservation. Not too bad! I have been on the Dining Reservations board...and there are some horror stories about not even being able to get through and such. Anyhow...I did find out at 6AM this morning that reservations did not open until 7AM :sad2:...so I was up quite a bit earlier than I needed to be...oh well...it all turned out good! :thumbsup2

Thanks EcbLovesMickey! :lovestruc We hope to have a great time...hope the weather holds out...looks like Hurricane Danielle will pass near Bermuda...not close to where we will be...but not sure about the new cell forming out in the Atlantic. We shall see! :surfweb:

Have a great Thursday!

Those of us who are doing the Back 2 Back with the April 7 cruise, how long did your travel agent say you would have to be off the boat for? I am hearing a lot of different things ranging from 1 hour to 5 or 6?!?!?

Also, should we all plan something fun to do together during teh wait time? Like a scavenger hunt or something to keep the kids occupied? Maybe we could do a people watching BINGO game or something :)

My travel agent said it would probably be 1 hour or less. That we should be the last people off the boat (there will be a meeting place inside where we will gather and then they will take us all off together) and then we would be the first ones back on. Since our TA was able to get us the same room for both cruises, we don't need to even pack anything  She said it should be "fairly painless" LOL and that we should get a little bit of time with the boat to ourselves (meaning just the B2Bers) before they start boarding the other passengers. I really hope it does work that way ;)

Our group consists of myself (Nana):wave2: my DGD (10) and my DGS (7)pirate:

I have been on four Disney cruises with my granddaughter and two with my grandson.

We are so exicited to be a part of the group!!

congrats.... so, what restaurant did you get? Do you know who the narrator will be?

We did the Candlelight Processional last year but didn't plan the trip until well after the reservations were open, so I took what I could get for the date I wanted. unfortunately, no Christmas trip this year to Disney.

That's what I was hoping for. We are also in the same room both cruises  so we're also not packing up between times.

My TA had said it could be anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on customs and immigration delays, but i have read on the boards that some people walked right back on and others had a long wait. Maybe it's just a luck of the draw as to how many folks are working the port that day:confused3

When you get an opportunity...read back through some of the former postings. This will give you an idea of what our group is like...and what we have planned for the cruise. Please let us know what you would like to join in on...pirate:...or questions that you might have. It's going to be a great cruise! :goodvibes

Again, welcome to our crew!

Here's our Candlelight Processional Info...

December 23rd
Lunch at 2PM - Biergarten (Germany)
Show at 5PM - Narrator (Brad Garrett)

We did the Candlelight Processional back in 2005. It was great! This time we opted for the cheapest tier which was only lunch and only Biergarten. I have to pay full adult prices for my kids now...and they don't eat much of anything! So mainly we were doing this for the seating for the show and Illuminations. I am not really that interested in the narrator this time, but this date worked the absolute best for our touring plans. So we went with it! :upsidedow

Hey - by the way - are some of you missing part of your signature today? Two of my countdown clocks have been missing all day...Wonder where they went too...:confused3

I suppose that in some cases, reboarding could be delayed. As I remember, it did seem like a couple of hours from the time we finished breakfast until we reboarded. But that is because we didn't do anything but watch people get off from the chairs on deck 4. What we should have done was determine when they wanted the B2B group to leave with the escort and just do something else during this time. But again, we were only off the ship for a few minutes.

When we reboarded, the photographers were not set up yet to take any boarding pictures for the next cruise, and they didn't announce your name to anyone. I remember leaving the ship again in the afternoon and had our picture taken again, and getting announced when we boarded.

I do think that you need to check in again in the terminal to get new KTTW cards for the new cruise. I think you need the new cards to get back into the stateroom (as the previous cards are deactivated). You are allowed back into your stateroom before 1:30pm. But I'm thinking that this rule might change with the dream, we will have to wait and see. We also have the same stateroom for both cruises. My understanding is that if you don't have the same stateroom, you can have them move your suitcases to the new stateroom. You do have to pack up as if you are leaving, but I don't think they take the suitcases off the ship.

What was a little weird in my opinion about a B2B, is that the second cruise is full of different people. normally on a cruise, you get to know some of the other people on the cruise, and then there is a completely different people on the ship, even though to us, it was the "same" cruise. I also get a sense of how the crew does a good job of making each cruise special to the guest. They pretty much do the exact same thing each cruise, which is easier to see when on B2B cruises.

They do seem to do a few special things for B2B cruises to acknowledge your enjoyment of their service. On our cruise, there was a daily afternoon plate of goodies sent to our stateroom. They really do apprieciate repeat cruisers, and B2B cruisers are people who choose to repeat before going on the first cruise.

Yes, yes and yes ;-) I qualify for all three of those!!!

Did we ever decide on an "official" Mango Rum Run graphic (and/or items to have it printed on)? I think I missed that discussion.

Your information has been updated on the first page...:goodvibes As far as the Mango Rum Run DISign - you can find the DISign on p.24 of this thread - post number 351. Following the DISign we had several different posts about getting the DISign placed on tote bags and t-shirts. Thoughts??? :confused3

I wish, yes, yes :)

Mango Rum Run and Deck 7 club for us - we are Stacey, Keith and Brooke

Hope everyone is doing well! I am still trying to get a routine down as we complete the 3rd week of school - my daughters activities have started this week (gymnastics and horseback riding) - I don't know how the parents with more than 1 child do it - you are my heros :worship: - I can barely cover my one!

For those of you still enjoying summer - I hope you're having a blast!!

I have been waiting for a good sale before I proceed with totes and shirts... you know around Xmas these places will do deals. Nothing outstanding yet :(

Crystal, you can add me to the Mango Rum Run group! I could have used some last night actually! I have a friend who runs a puppy rescue and I am puppysitting a mom boxer and her six puppies for a week while my friend is out of town. I'm not usually a dog person so this is quite an experience for me. I'll post some pics if I get a chance. My friend asked us to give them names so we've given them all Disney names! Mom is Maid Marian (or "mama"), and the pups are Minnie, Flower, Bambi, Lady, and Chip & Dale.

BTW Crystal, could you add me as B2B and Mango Rum Run too ;) I think you already have me down as deck 7

I have updated everyone's information up 'til this post! :goodvibes

kikids - That's awesome that you all are caring for those boxer pups and mom! Love the names! :cutie: Would love to see pictures... We aren't dog folks either...have two cats that are rotten...but extremely sweet! My husband has been pushing for a dog...I keep explaining to him that I already have two sons and him to take care of! :upsidedow

Happy Friday to everyone! :yay: We are all packed except for one more pair of khaki pants for my husband...we fly out to Fort Lauderdale in the morning...and then transfer to Miami on Sunday. Hope those hurricanes stay off to the east...it might be a rocky ride! :cool2: Got the dramamine packed!

Ugh, I have much more cute pictures but I'm having photobucket trouble - it won't post them resized no matter how many times I shrink and cut and paste it??? :confused3 Will try more later. The one my dd is holding is the one we are probably keeping. I actually took the mom out this morning to pee and she wanted to go for a run. So I ran the neighborhood with her. I got home and realized I haven't run at 6 am since high school volley ball practice over 15 yrs ago. Maybe having a dog would be good for me! :rotfl:

Ohhhhh, they are so cute!!!! I would have a hard time giving them back if they were staying with me ;-)

:dogdance: Love the puppy pictures! :dogdance:

What's the name of the one that you all are going to keep?

Okay...this is probably my last post for awhile...unless I get my hands on the internet while on-board! :upsidedow I hope that everyone has a great week! :flower3:

Oh...and does anyone know where all of our tickers have disappeared too??? :confused3
