DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

I was just reading about the champagne tasting onboard...anyone interested?
I doubt DH will go with me, but I think I would like to try it! I think the cost is $20
I've done the martini and tequila ones before and they were great.

Me too! Me too! I was planning on doing it anyway even though DH has no interest in it at all. That would be great if several of us could go.

Does anyone know if we book when we board or what?

I always try and get DH to come to any alcohol tasting - that way if there's something I don't particularily like- he drinks it! :rotfl: It's like giving the stuff you don't like that's on your plate to the family dog (don't ANYONE tell my husband I related his ability to scolf down my alcoholic leftovers to an animal!) :rotfl2:

I've done the wine tasting and loved it. Martini too (which I plan on doing if they have it). Depending on the day/time I (or DH and I) will meet many of you at the champagne tasting. Just make sure we have some sort of DIS'er identification on so we can find eachother!!

I need to go hunt down the latest and greatest Dream Navigators.
I'm also FREAKING that there is only 6 weeks left because I have 6 weeks until I'm "cleared" by the doctor - and if I'm not all 'healed' by then, it's going to be a very stressful cruise (I'm freaking about potentially having another issue like I did while on board- granted, the nurse in me knows that if 6 more weeks go by without ANY problems, then I should be FINE, but the 'person' in me is scared to death!!! I'm thinking no Pellican Plundge for me though...no limbo, no dancing, no swimming...... nothing that will over-exurt. If I plan for a 'relaxing' cruise then anything more than that is a bonus!!! At least I know my massage doesn't count as over-doing it! :cloud9: is more like it!!!!

Just take it easy and rest up between now and then. Sending prayers and pixie dust for a full and fast recovery. pixiedust:

Several people have posted that they are interested in this. Maybe we can make it a ladies out event. If several people want to get together for the champagne tasting I am in.

Try to take it easy and don't stress. We want you to enjoy your cruise!

Ooohhh! Interested definitely! Where did you read about it? The wine one was okay, hubby loved the beer one.
I was looking at a thread about it online and in some of the navigators

Count me in!! My DH wouldn't go, either. I've done the martini tasting twice, the tequila tasting and the wine tasting. I've seen whiskey and brandy tasting on the navigators, but not champagne, before. Whoo-hoo, I'll be there! A few more bubbles couldn't possibly hurt!
will do!:thumbsup2

I'll join you too:goodvibes I'd also like to do the martini tasting:cool1:

that's what I was thinking- nice for a little group to meet! You buy the tickets at guest services. I heard they are limited, but I know when I've done the other tastings there were plenty. I can't see them not selling more tickets! I just have to check if it is specific day they do this and will let you all know what I find out!

Hopefully we will have our name tag or bracelets to help identify us!

Denise, rest up for vacation!

May not be able to find out the tasting schedule before we board, since ours is the first 5-day of the season. No big deal, we'll find some way to hook up. I know our cabin door will have a small dry-erase board for messages and there's always the wave phones we can use to spread the word. How about us girls make the champagne tasting into a Princess Party and we can all wear our favorite tiaras?! princess: Just cuz we're grown ups doesn't mean we can't be princesses!! ;)

Denise, I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. That's a pretty scary ordeal you've just experienced and I think I'd be just as anxious as you are. Just stay down and give yourself as much rest as you can. I believe there's a lounger calling your name from the Quiet Cove......you want to be ready to answer that call!! :thumbsup2

Count me in for the champagne tasting!! I'd also like to do the Martini tasting, as long as they aren't back-to-back!!! :lmao: Hopefully, I will be able to recognize some of you by face after meeting at the meet & greets. If not, I'll be looking for lanyards with our Green Name ID or the bracelets (if we do them) or some other DIS token. See you there! :drinking1:drinking1

Well... I found 4 night Navigators from the April 3rd cruise that are in good shape (don't ask me where the link is.... I did a search and picked a link!) and DH printed them out for me to paruse last night.

On the 4 night Champagne tasting is at 3:00pm on Nassau day, held in Pink (how appropriate is that?). I'm guessing that the days for the 5 night will be laid out very similar to the 4 night - the only real difference is we have a 2nd CC day, so they may duplicate some activities and add a few unique ones.

Most of the tastings start around 3pm - This is what I have from the 4 night:

Nassau Day:
  • 3:00 Champagne Tasting in Pink
  • 3:30 Mixology in Skyline
  • 4:30 Beer Tasting in District Lounge
At Sea Day:
  • 2:30 Whiskey Tasting in Pink
  • 3:30 Martini Tasting in Meridian
So, by my account I should be passed out at the dinner table with my wine package on Nassau and At Sea day! :rotfl2:

I love the tiara idea- we can't miss eachother at Champagne tasting with those on!!!!!!!!!

Your shirts look fabulous! I'm clueless, so pardon my questions. Do I just save this image as a jpg and then email it vista print? How do you do the names? I really want to do this, but I'm confused.

Finally received our cabin assignment today. We will be in 8658. Right next to the aft elevators on the starboard side. Hopefully the hallway noise won't be too bad. I am looking forward to having some room service coffee sitting on my veranda looking at Castaway Cay.

We are 8568 and we can't wait to meet you!

You just have to upload the image onto Vista Print and then choose which item you want and viola - all made!

Be careful ladies...too much booze and you could end up being sleepy beauty...:rotfl:

Here's what I have everyone. There are still a few that I'm chasing down... So it would only get smaller or with room numbers where I'm still missing it....
