DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Hi haven't been on here for awhile but am now getting more excited, I have finished my Chemotherapy and radiation, and test are showing No More Cancer!!
DH and I will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary (married same year WDW opened!!) but now I can add on celebrating Cancer Free too!!
We booked a room at Best Western in Cocoa Beach for 5 days before our Cruises (doing B2B May 26 & May 29th) We stayed there Oct 2009 before Magic Cruise and loved it, so close to the beach and to Cocoa Beach Pier. Also can walk to many restaurants and a Publix right across the street, we got a room with kitchenette for 100.00 per night. Oh and they shuttle you to port too (we paid $5.00 a piece)
I too am so tired of the snow & cold here (Vermont), reading and reading about all info on the Dream we will be in room 2556 for 26th and was told same room for May 29th but I see on my info Disney says it is GTY so hoping to keep same room.

You have such an awesome reason for celebrating!!!! You went through alot, now you have a lot to look forward too.

4 weeks from right now I will be landing at MCO for a quick 4 day weekend. I am so excited & my boys think we are just hanging out at the resort & DTD. DS10 keeps saying "can we at least ride the monorail...." Little do they know I will be getting them up Sat a.m. for MK rope drop:cool1:

Happy Friday everyone!!:cheer2:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I'm so happy for you and think you have the BEST reason for celebrating!! Looking forward to offering my congrats in person!

All of your pics are great! I love the formal Mickey & Minnie pic!!

Someone asked when Pirate nite was a page back or so. It is on the night we are in Nasau. I think that is Wed night. Hope that helps with your plans!

I saw the D&B purses & they look soooo cute!! Better up my souvenir budget:thumbsup2

Thanks, I love that pic too! Regarding Pirate Night, here's our itinerary:
5-Night Bahamian Cruise

View Cruise Details
Sail Date
May 29, 2011
Ship
Disney Dream
Ports
Port Canaveral, Florida, Castaway Cay, Nassau, Bahamas, At Sea, Castaway Cay, Port Canaveral, Florida

I think that translates to:
Sunday: Embark from Port Canaveral
Monday: Castaway Cay
Tuesday: Nassau
Wednesday: At Sea
Thursday: Castaway Cay
Friday: Debark from Port Canaveral

So, should we just see if we can get a Palo brunch table for 20 on sea day?!! Sounds like we are all hoping to snag a ressie for it! How awesome if they are doing it at Remy, as well! Can't wait to see!!!

Great news!!! Congrats!:banana::cool1::cheer2::cheer2:

Beth- Yep, it is on Tuesday. I would love it to be at Remy. I don't think I"d ever be interested in dinner there but I've seen pics & it looks beautiful. That would be so cool to have a "First to Dream it Twice" party at brunch :woohoo:

Chuck- didn't you forget something yesterday :confused3 :confused3

Bobbidiboo- Congrats on being cancer free! What a great way to celebrate.

I love seeing everyone's pictures. It is nice to put a face with the posts. I tried to remember names but all I can remember right now are Jim and Bev, Disneyelf and Beth. Sorry if I forgot anyone.

This being our first cruise, I know we will have 0 chance at getting Brunch for Palo. We want to go through the dining rotation and see every dining room so we will wait and try for Palo on our next cruise. It's just not a priority for us since it will all be new for us.

TiffJ- you are right. I was just wondering how many more Fridays until our cruise.

:guilty: as charged. Lost internet last night, tree took down phone line.

:cheer2: Wonderful news for you! Now you have even more celebrating to do :)

Someone asked about Priceline for the CI&S pre-cruise. We did this last year at a rate of $49 (plus $20 for shuttle/parking & taxes - total $82). But, this year I doubt we'll be able to get it because there doesn't seem to be as much availability - maybe because of the Holiday Weekend, or bigger ships?

We have two rooms booked at the CI&S for Saturday - we're driving from the Nashville, TN area.

Starting to get REALLY excited now ...

yummy!! I can't wait to book brunch- I hope I get it. I may to pay for the cruise early to get my Feb booking date...decisions, decisions....:rotfl:

We're considered 'paid' since we're sailing on DVC points (DH and I are- we paid for the kids and had to pay in full for them when we booked).
So 2/28 (which happens to be my 45th birthday) I'll be trying my best to book it!!! Now THAT will be a nice birthday present (that and my iPhone).

Looks like we'll have a mini gathering at CI&S on Saturday.

Yummmm, that belinni looks gooooood!

I'm going to also try for dinner. The chocolate soufle is worth it :cool1:

It was 60* here today. NICE!!!!

Did someone mention chocolate souffle?!:love::love:
