Hi everyone, I cannot wait for May to be here. Livin in western Canada we are used to the snow but this morning the temp. was minus 37 celcius or -34 f we have alot more winter ahead but knowing that I am sailing away in 4 months helps.
Since this is my first cruise i am unable to book early so if anyone is booking the Palo Brunch, could you please please add one more to your booking?

OMG! I cannot even imagine what -34F feels like. We can't book brunch early either, but it's not a big deal for us this cruise. Just gives us more reason to go again.

Frances- I just meant several of us are staying there Saturday night. Nothing planned, but I guess we could discuss it if anyone is interested. We are planning on getting there by 4, maybe take the kids to Ron Jon & somewhere for dinner. Laid back night before the fun begins!!

I am SO done with this winter and ready for SPRING! Watching the news and having anxiety attacks- I'm in the 20-24" zone for snow between tomorrow and Thurs. Wouldn't mind but like most adults I have to work... but what do I do with the kids if they have no school???? This is just too much too soon. They have already had 4 snow days and it's just now the end of January. This is going to be one LONG winter. At least I have 5/29 to look forward to - that's my light at the end of the very snowy tunnel!!!!

I used to live in Wisconsin and we hit -12 quite a bit and that was unbearable. Can't imagine -34.

My brother called earlier today to try to upgrade his room and was told the ship was completely sold out.

Any concierge/platinum members who have made their onboard ressies yet? I'd love to know if you were able to get what you wanted.

Not surprised since it's the first 5 night sailing. Before dates / lengths of stay came out we were hoping the Dream would be doing 7 nights - we had to decide between 5 on the Dream or 7 on the Magic. Dream won!!!

Counting down 27 more days until I can make the midnight madness computer dash to try and get brunch at Palo!!!!

good and bad...I was calling them (DCL) several times this week and the wait was always over 30mins! I wanted to ask if it was sold out as I wanted to see about upgrading to a verandah room. Gues I'm too late!

And this is why I can't wait for our cruise! the sun and warm weather.....

it's alittle hard to see, but more snow mountains!! lol! where lawns, sidewalks and streets use to be!

Wow! That is a lot of snow I just finished watching the weather and it is unbelievable what the snowfall totals will end up being. I have been reading some threads on here where people are having trouble getting to the ship.

We are fortunate to only be getting rain. I hope everyone stays safe and keeps power.

I feel you feel our pain in the NE area of the country w/ all this snow!! I know some people say you're New Englanders etc- suck it up... well it's a lot this year w/ no break! at least 1 storm every week since 12/27/10!! As you can see we have no room and I will gladly share some snow with you or anyone who wants some!

Here's what used to be the 5 foot fence around the pool in my back yard... the fence is now only 2 feet exposed. If you look at the center gate you can see the latch - which is 1 foot from the top. This was taken this afternoon - before tha additional 18" we're expecting by tomorrow night....
