Disney Dooney & Burke purse

Don't give up hope. Right before I arrived 11/12/09 almost all the posts said " no disney dooney bags to be found anywhere in disneyworld'' To my surprise, right after we checked in to our resort we headed out to downtown disney! Lots of bags to pick from, except the tassel tote. Then off to Tren-D, more bags there. Even found them at MK and DHS. Hopefully disney will get a big shipment and everyone is able to find their bags.

I purchased 2 purses at Uptown Jewelers on Main Street last Friday and my SIL got hers at Tren-D at DTD on Thursday. The first day I looked, Uptown was out of them, then the next day they appeared, tons of purses and wristlets. I never saw the medium size purse, and when I left on Tuesday, they were out completely of everything. When I first arrived, I asked in every store and resort shop and no one really knows who has them -- they just seem to appear and they go very quickly. The larger purses were $175.

My mom just called and said that they have the new-design bags at World of Disney, back behind the jewelry counter. She said it's like a full-body Mickey icon, not just the head, and the pattern (again) varies by bag depending on where the fabric was cut. (I'm assuming it's colors similar to the Dooney It bags.) She said they were cute but "kind of busy." I should have asked her to take a pic and send it to me but I don't know if they'd even have allowed it anyway.

But so anyway, she said they're out of the older design but have TONS of the new one. I guess they just came in this morning.

I think she said that they were available in the same styles as before, but I could be wrong.

Black is in the parks people and you can place your orders through DW Merchandising. If you do a search on threads that have Dooney in them there is a thread that has picks of the large tote, large tassel tote and the wristlet in the new black. Not sure how to link the thread here, sorry.

They are in the park stores however they are not in the warehouse. You can place an order for them however they will be considered backorder status. I put an order in for the large tote and the wristlet a few minutes ago.

that is what I just said! I just ordered the wristlet and large tote.

Oooh, I just got my purse and LOVE IT. It's the medium tassel bag and though it's precisely the same size as my black tassel It bag, it somehow feels bigger. I was thinking on the way home that I'd have to change wallets to work with this one (I have the large madras Mickey wallet that's been discontinued in park stores) but it's plenty big. And my mom did a fantastic job picking it, too--I have a full Mickey with a full WDW banner right underneath on the front; the full D&B banner is up toward the top by the leather lacing. And on the back, I've got a full Tinkerbell and Cheshire Cat with a full Disneyland banner and a whole passel of balloons. It is SO CUTE!

I like that it has the brass footings on the bottom. I wonder if the tassel tote does? I have the large tote on order but I keep waffling between the large tote and the tassel tote. I like that the tassel has the rainbow zipper...

yeh, I ordered the large tote and the wristlet( I use it as a wallet! lol)

I looked at the black tassel totes on ebay and the tassel tote does not have the brass footings on the bottom. Just not sure which one to get as I like both. I actually have a black Dooney It medium wallet with the rainbow DB's on it and should look pretty good with this purse. Well I have about 18 hours to decide which one to choose.

If anyone wants a medium white tote there is another thread on here that a woman wants to sell hers for rack rate and the price it cost for WDW to ship it to her. I am not sure how to do the link thread thing but if you hit the search button at the top right of this page and type in "Dooney" it will come up.
