Sunday morning. We let Anakin sleep in. He had some problems during the night. I woke him up at the last minute to get ready to head to the MK for a DIS meet, Dole whip meet!

Remember how I tripped over his shoes the first day. Several times I had to ask him to be careful where he put his shoes. Well, apparently on Saturday night he was very careful. So careful they disappeared!!

Remember those elves that helped the cobbler repair shoes during the night? I think they snuck into CSR and moved his shoes. We looked everywhere we could think. The drawers, behind the bathroom door, in every nook and cranny, in the suitcases, under things, to no avail. Those shoes could not be found.

Until I asked Goofy to put away his phone charger. He opened up the nightstand drawer to put his cord in there, and smooshed inside were the shoes!!!!!

Anakin did not remember putting them in there at all!!

We were off to the MK for the DIS meet!

When we got to security, a woman in front of us couldn’t decide which side to stay on. She kept going back and forth. So she picked her side, cutting in front of us, so another family went on the other side. The security cm checked the bags of the family who went on the other side first. This lady was still putting around. She snapped at the security guy so meanly. He looked at her and asked if he did something wrong. All of us in line told him “NO!! He was fine!” He asked me about the ear phones in the bag. He asked if that’s for fireworks. And I told him, fireworks, loud talking, crying, Philharmagid. The Philharmagic comment through him for a loop. He said he would have never realized that show was loud.

I guess in the midst of our chatting, I didn’t zipper a section of the back pack. But I wouldn’t find that out until later.

Trolley show was going on. They had the trolley decorated for fall, and the dancers usual red, white and blue outfits were fall colors too!

We were hungry and after a debate about food, we settled with Columbia Harbour House. Here is where things get more frantic. I ordered the food, while Grumpy found a seat. Goofy waited for the food while Anakin and I went to find Grumpy. When we got to the table, I noticed my back pack wasn’t zippered in one compartment. EVERYTHING inside there was GONE!!!! But I couldn’t remember what all I had in there. I knew I had cash, gum, sticky notes with notes on them, photopass cards, etc. My wallet was in another section so I was fine there. My keys were in the unzippered section, but I had them attatched onto a clasped hook, so they were still there!!!

The DIS Meet​

We got to the Dole Whip stand early. Didn’t see any LGMH. The shake it move it parade was going on, so we walked to the castle to see the end of it. When we got back for the meet, we still didn’t see any DISers. I texted exwdwcm to see if they were there. They were! So was everybody else. We just couldn’t see anyone’s LGME. We met, posed for pics, then went on our way.

We went on the Jungle Cruise with a DISer and her mom. I remember her real name, but her DIS name escapes me. Sorry! She was kind enough to take a pic of our family.

Anakin was tired after the Jungle Cruise so we headed out of the park. But stopped at the bakery first.

We stopped for a restroom on the way out. While Anakin was with Goofy, I saw a service dog go by. He is unreasonably scared of dogs. He will panic and freak like you would not believe over a dog. I mentioned to Grumpy that it’s good that he isn’t with us right now.

This dog was a small dog. Had the kindest eyes I had ever seen on an animal. And the owner was very gracious and sweet as she smiled and went by us.
We stopped and watched the parade in the shade in front of the firehouse.

We knew he had to rest before the carriage ride in the evening, so we were ready to head back to CSR.

The monorail to the TTC was closed, and they sent us over to the resort monorail. We were talking to the cm, trading pins and just shooting the breeze. He got the ramp in place and we loaded. They loaded some more people and in came the sweet girl and her dog. Anakin freaked. Hyperventilating. Jumped right out of the wheelchair and climbed up Goofy. Crying. Shaking. It was not a pretty scene.

I apologized to the girl and asked if we could please get out. The cm apologized perfusely. It was nobody’s fault. We would just wait for the next train. We got out and Anakin calmed down.

So sorry to hear that things went missing. Also sorry to hear that Anakin was upset. Bless his heart! DS5 is terrified of dogs (big or small), but not that extreme ... so I can sort of relate to that scenario. I hope he was able to calm down and have a nice evening.

Very frustrating that you lost the items out of your pouch. You don't think someone reached in and grabbed do you? I hope that wasn't the case. Bad enough that you lost the stuff...but worse if it was stolen.

I am vigilant now about the bag being zippered properly. He was already upset about his shoes in the morning, then my bag, and the dog put him over the top.

Oh gee, I didn't even consider that possibility. Goofy was standing in front of Anakin while I was ordering. My bag was on the back of his wheelchair. I definately wasn't watching it. If I were a betting person, I'd bet it was my being distracted at the security check and not zippering it myself.

Yes, I was distracted. His fear began when he was a toddler and a small dog jumped on him and scratched his chest. He has been afraid ever since that they will hurt him.

The guys split an icecream cookie sandwich. It was Grumpy's first. He loved it! I had a sticky bun. Those things are so big. I'm not much of a bread person, it took me 3 days to eat it, and I still ended up throwing some of it away. The flavor was great. I love the sweetness on top. Could just eat that and skip the bread! I've never found a sweet too sweet for my liking!!

I hope you have a wonderful day off tomorrow! Thanks for hanging in there! I'm almost done with the weekend. We went back last Thursday too and got to spend some bonus time with Lisa and Megan at Epcot, which was unexpected, but very nice! And on Saturday we had an unexpected DIS meet, my cousin's grandson was on vacation in FL and I had never met him. So she arranged a meet for us. Turned out his other grandma is a DISer!! How cool is that?!

CSR is the resort where my family feels the most at home!! It's slightly more upscale than the other moderates. The products in the room are a bit better. Instead of the combo shampoo and conditioner, you get separate products. Also you get a moisturizing lotion. But the same face soap and bath soap as the other mods.

There is an option to have a microwave in your room as no charge. This is not an option at the other mods.

There is a spa and fitness ceter too.

The pool is one of the best pools and water slides on property. The only pool I like better is Storm along Bay at the Yacht and Beach Club. There is a 22 person hot tub too.

Without a doubt, CSR has THE BEST play ground on property. There are swings. A preschool play set and a separate older kid play set. 2 sand pits for digging. Table tennis and sometimes fuseball.

The baby pool is one of the worse baby pools on property though.

There are 3 bars, one is a night club, the other 2 are outdoor. There is a cafe, Cafe Rix for quick service food. Their food court is like no other on property. The selection of food is very diverse for counter service. One of the few places you can get steak for a counter service credit. The only draw back is a 10% service charge because you have servers get your drinks.

There is also a table service restaurant called the Maya Grille. We have never eaten there.

CSR definately ranks up there as my family's favorite resort at WDW!!

Oooh - thanks for all the info, all compact and very informative! I will definately have to look into CSR!!! THe idea of having a microwave in our room would be amazing! I just love my morning oatmeal.

Her performance was amazing. I had high expectations for her, and she exceded those!! I heard comments around the room that people were very impressed! This night was definately the highlight of our trip!!

I can't believe I missed this! What a wonderful picture of all of you~

Yikes girl!! Scary about the bag!!! I'm always scared of losing stuff in the parks, especially when my debit card was comprimised!! Always a sick feeling of someone possibly taking it!!

I think all my credit cards were in my wallet. Not sure about mine and Anakin's Sea World passes. Going to have to go on a search for them. I may have put them in a different bag.

That's scary about your debit card number being stolen and used. Didn't that happen at DHS? Are you doing the aluminum foil thing?
