Are Disney Dollars a thing of the past? Are they still available?

They're definitely not a thing of the past. You can purchase them through Disneystore or by calling Disney, I don't know the number though because I've never purchased any!

I think the Disney stores at the Malls were purchased in October by Childrens place. I don't know if you can still buy Disney Dollars there.

Yes you can we had people buying them for DD at X-mas .Some are new with the 50 year cel.on them

We are going to WDW in April ..............I had relatives buy us disney dollars for Xmas also ! The disney stores still have them!

I just bought some on Friday at the Disney store in the Mall here. My aunt gave DS money for his bday and I traded for Disney dollars

do you get more if you buy disney dollars or can you get more say get (10 bucks for price of 8)? or is it a way to have cash that can only be spent at disney world? just wondering?

They are just like gift certificates. So you can only use them at WDW. No they do not give you any special deals. It's dollar for dollar (although a deal would be great!)

Just wanted to say remember if you get them at the Disney Store make sure to ask for Disney Dollars. Their gift cards cannot be used in WDW.

YES! They are still around. We got them at the Disney store. I believe the increments are: $ 1, 10, 20, 50. We got them for our kids and they loved them! Don't forget to keep a couple of the $1 ones for your scrapbook!

I just bought some yesterday at the Disney Store at the Mall of America and was told they only come in incriments of $1, $5, and $10.

FYI...You can also purchase them at the "Town Hall" just to the left as you enter The Magic Kingdom.

They're definitely not going anywhere. Just on a slightly related note - If you rent a stroller in any of the parks, and return it to the stroller return area, they give you a disney dollar back. I keep a $1 Disney Dollar in my wallet as sort of a goodluck charm, or at least "remember until you can return" charm.

The Disney Stores carry $1, $5 and $10 Disney Dollars. I believe you can get the $50 Disney Dollars at WDW only.
