Disney dollars

I've heard you can buy Disney Dollars then convert them back to cash at the theme parks. Has anyone done this? Do you need the original receipt?

Since we can take disney dollars back on return @ the DS, I don't see why they couldn't at the parks. You do have to have the reciept and will be refunded in the same form of payment you had paid.
