Disney Dollars Question

Okay, I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway. Can I exchange regular money for Disney Dollars at any Disney Store? We're going to WDW next May, and I thought that if we start exchanging money now for DD, by the time May comes around we should have a decent amount saved. Disney isn't going to stop accepting DD, are they?

Yes! "Disney Dollars" is Disney currancy, they'll never do away with it. You can buy disney dollars now and use them in 5 years if you wanted to!! (I recommend not buying them that far ahead of time, but a year in advance is great!)

Exchanging money for DD is a great way to save for vacation because you're not tempted to spend it!

You can also buy Disney Dollars at Disney Store (not at the theme parks) with your credit card. For those who have reward earning cards, buying Disney $ is another way to slowly build up the points/miles.

The only problem I have with Disney Dollars is that I can't bear to spend the beautiful Mickey Money after I have it!

Anyone else have this problem?

Yep! Although I always can spend MOST of it, we always save a some for each of the kids (and us TOO! ). It really does make nice souveniers.

Yes, you can exchange cash (checks, Master, Visa, AmEx and Discover) to get Disney Dollars at the Disney store.

However, you can not take them back to the Disney Store for cash without a receipt. Not that there's ever any left over from a trip for that to be an issue in my house!

Me too....we always have DD *left over* because we just can't bear the thought of parting with ALL of them!!!

If you all know of any engaged couples who are attending WDW for their HM, give them the DD as a gift! We recieved a few hundred in DD as wedding gifts and it is helping us out with the extras on our trip! We can even use them for the DCL, so now we have our Dolpin Enounter paid for!

Just an idea!
