Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

One more question please, how do we get our resort information mailed to our home address since ExpediaUK didn't ask for it?

I booked on 2/10 and had emailed Expedia 3 days ago and also sent them a message on fb to get my WDW conf #. My status on the website shows that my reservations are confirmed and I was able to submit my flight info on ME's site without having a conf #, but I can't get my fp+ or book any dining reservations until I get my #. :confused3

We go in a month so that's why I'm a little panicky.

Great price but not sure if it's worth the hassle right now. I'll report back when I hear from them.

It takes a while, with a month left I wouldn't be worried. And you can book ADRs without a conf # those are open to anyone.

Just booked April 2-6 at All-Star Sports for $373.12 after bank fees. Price on Disney.com was $542.40. Savings of almost $170! :cool1:

I emailed expedia twice for mine and didn't get anywhere. I sent them a message on facebook and got a phone call and email within 12 hrs with my number which I then linked immediately. They were very apologetic for the poor email response.

This is the uber-planner website and and with the crowd level at 8 & 9 during my visit, being "a month left" without having any ADRs made is not ok with me. So....I called the # on MDE, spoke to a great CM and now have a confirmation. ADRs now booked.

Now I can breathe. :woohoo:

Glad you got it taken care of but I don't understand why you were waiting for a confirmation number to book ADRs? Anyone can do that 180 days out....you don't need a resort reservation.

I guess I alway have my information in there when I book my ADRS. Like I said, I just wanted everything taken care of.

I understand....just wanted to make sure you knew for future reference that you can make them without that stuff :)

Hi all,

I am the one who booked the car rental, I just wanted to add, I called the car rental company directly and asked them if I would have any issues with picking up my car. I explained who I booked through and everything, they assured me I would not. I hope this is the case, I will post when we return.

Happy travels!

Brenda

Hi Brenda and that's great news and thanks for following this up,:thumbsup2, did you go with Budget and approximately how much could someone save over a US rental?

Also how beneficial is the UK cover which includes in the price Collision & Damage Waiver, Theft Protection, Third-Party Liability Insurance, City/Airport Surcharges, Road Tax, VAT/Tax and Additional Liability Insurance?

Have a good trip and hope it's soon.....

Just wanted to further update that my Uk Expedia reservation switched from Booked to Confirmed today and had a 4xxxxxxxxxxx number listed. I was able to link that number into MDE with no problem and now the reservation shows up there.

Thanks so much for posting this! We are saving a ton!

I made my reservation several weeks ago and had to email and Facebook message Expedia to get my confirmation number. Just out of curiosity, I checked the Expedia website and it still says "Confirmation # Confirmation."

I am not worried because I did get the Disney confirmation number in an email, but I think it is a serious issue that Expedia cannot post all of the confirmation numbers (would be interested to know whys one people get them and others don't). Anyway, if your reservation says "Confirmation # Confirmation," I would advise you to email and message Expedia - apparently there are some reservations the system just does not update.

I'm hoping someone can help clear my confusion and maybe help me to present this offer to the other members of our traveling party. I quickly explained it to one of the other familes and they think it is a bad idea. They are worried we will get there in November and there will be some kind of problem. I think we should go ahead and book it because with the cut backs in free dining and other offers, its quite possibly the best offer we are going to get. Can someone please tell me what the conversion would be for this?

The quote I'm getting is 888 for 2 rooms at all-star music from November 28th to December 6th. This quote is for payment for both rooms, right? My second problem is that I don't have credit cards. Can I use my debit Mastercard? What fees will I incur?

The rate of £888 is in British pounds sterling and that would be for both rooms. It converts to about $1481 in US dollars at today's exchange rate.

You will most likely end up paying additional fees for the currency conversion but that will be up to your bank, not Expedia. Expedia will also give you the option to pay in $ instead of £. It will be more than $1481 for the reservation if you pay that way, but may not cost more than if you were to pay your bank's fees.

Thank you. Does anyone have any worries over booking their reservations this way? If it was just me and my family going I wouldn't give it a second thought and would book. With two other rooms/families going I just have a nagging worry if this doesn't work out. Would you all just book for yourself and let the others worry about their reservations and pay more money? Or would you try to explain what a great deal this actually is and hope they see it?

I booked Yacht club for my October trip and am not the least bit worried. I have received my confirmation number and linked it to Disney's website and I see it there plain as day. No worries. My nephew has been busting on me telling me I have to speak with a british accent when I check in:scratchin

Hi tyniknate,

If you read some of the past post #193 #176 a few have already cancelled and also rebooked on the same UK-site but at a cheaper price as in the meantime they'd received a promo code.

We therefore know that there's no problem with being able to cancel for a full refund on UK-Expedia but there could be a slight difference in the refund due to currency fluctuations and if there's any credit card/bank fees.

So cancelling is an option especially if a better offer comes along on a US web site like free dining and seeing you're going in Nov-Dec then hopefully over the next few months you'll see feedback on this thread from those who've already made bookings for March-April and fingers crossed all feedback with be positive.

But we believe the offer ends by 3rd March so you can't wait around too long, maybe someone has made a booking for late Feb and will post feedback so keep looking out.

I know it's not the same but Ted in Halifax has already used UK-Expedia for a one night stay in his home town in Canada, check out #277.

UK-Expedia, £444 approx $743 against US-Expedia of $970 so saving $227 about 23%, less any fees.

Best of luck.......

Since you asked, I would tell the other family about the deal and let them decide for themselves. You certainly have plenty of time to cancel and re-book if people start posting that they have had problems with their reservations. (I have one booked for mid-March and I intend to post my experience on this thread after I get checked in.)

Even if they decide to book directly with Disney because they are too nervous about this deal, you will still be able to link your trips in MDE. I just invited my brother to "share in the planning" for next month and I can see HIS reservation for WL in June even though I'm not included in that trip!

ETA: My Magic Bands for the March reservation were just delivered today!

This... you save the money and let your friend book they way they want. I have no worries. As others have posted, my reservation is showing up on MDE as paid in full. Others have made reservations, stayed and are back with no issues. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
