I love hearing this. We have never stayed at Pop but will be there next weekend. Im super stoked!!

We’ll be there next weekend too - well, checking in Sunday. I’ve stayed there before but only for a night before a deluxe stay. I’m oddly excited for the food court, pool bar, and Skyliner - the only exception being is not being inside and safe from the elements once I get to the hotel.

I’m seeing on other sites that Petals will be closed for renovations from September 8th to mid-October but no information about that on Disney site. Does anyone have confirmed information from official Disney sources?

No confirmation but it is one of the few locations on property that has not been renovated over the past couple of years so it could be a valid refurb coming.

Ugh, if the Petals refurb is acurrate (which it probably is), I really wish Disney would have communicated it to guests staying during this time, including details of the limited bar menu. I don't think we would have changed resorts, but it would be nice to have had time to plan for this. We spend most afternoons and several evenings hanging out at the bar.

You can always walk over to AoA and go to their bar.

Of course, but it's not quite as convenient. We are the people who book preferred pool view, not just for the pool but for proximity to Petals. Just would be nice to know about from Disney more than 2 weeks in advance. Also, I hope the work is all on the inside and the mug refill station will still be open.

My main concern is the availability of the refill station. I am up and heading out before the food court opens and would like to be able to have a soft drink to start my day.

I agree that it is short notice and hope for the best that they will do their best to accommodate guests.

I walked around the AoA grounds when I was there last week and filled up my water bottle by the Drop Off Pool Bar in the early morning. It is outside of the gated pool area.

It's outside. It’s right outside the rest lobby entrance. At least I don’t think there’s a fence…even if there is, I’ve never had an issue getting a drink when doing a monorail crawl. I’ve stayed there 2x, and am second-guessing myself about gate location.

I think they rerouted the pool/bar fence when they added the beverage refill station next to the bar. I know we sat at a table by the bar well past the closing of the pool on either our 2022 or 2024 visit. We commented about how nice and peaceful it was to enjoy our drinks in that area once the pool closed.

Disney does a lot of stuff with no notice and for some reason they are the only company that gets away with it.

Thanks! That makes sense as we haven’t been over in a couple of years and last time we were there I’m picturing it being inside the fenced pool area.

Due to the location of the soda refill station in relation to Petals, I would anticipate it being closed for at least a portion of the time that the renovation is taking place. Best go prepared and if placing a food order, possibly add soda to your order?

After surviving the complete food court renovation closure of 2024 when only mobile ordering was available for our 11 day trip, I think we can survive anything re: renovations! That was a rough renovation to endure for sure!! So glad that one is behind us!!
