I was looking at the different restaurants to decide where I wanted to use my dining points at and some say Disney Dining Rewards 20%. What does this mean. If I choose to eat here and use my dining points do I only get 20% off or if I choose to dine here and not use my points do I get 20% off anyway. I'm not sure I understand. I only get 2 table service meals so I chose Chef Mickey's for breakfast and the Coral Reef for dinner. :confused3

There are 2 different programs that seem to get mixed up a lot.

DDP - Disney Dining Plan - This is the one you get with a package deal. (DVC folks can also do the DDP now) With this one, you get a certain number of 'credits' to use during your stay. You get one table-service meal, 1 counter-service meal, and one snack for each person for each night of your package. With this one, you get your meal by spending a credit - and tax and tip are taken care of by the plan.

DDE - Disney Dining Experience - AP holders and FL residents are eligible to buy a DDE card, which gets you 20% off the bill at participating restaurants for a year. (These are mainly table-service places and counter-service places at the hotels that dont' have table service restaurants.)
