Disney Dining,DIS Meets, and WAIT-Why is that lady holding..... FINAL THOUGHTS 11/27

What a fun day at MK! I haven't seen the 3:00 PM parade in about 5 years. It's on my list for next trip. Beautiful pictures.

Great update. Love all the cute statue pics. I think I need to plan and see that castle show.

Fun update!!!

I know what you mean about school starting -- the students return on Monday, and this weekend my to-do list is longer than it has been in a very long time!!!

How old is Reid again? He and Connor would get along great -- he loves Pokemon on the DS, too!

Love your picture of the Mickey bar! Having a bite out of one ear makes it all the better! That's how Disney always shows them!

Too funny about your husband and the trees at Disney!

Cute picture of your DD kissing Pluto!

For us, that plan always works better---getting to the park early, getting several things done, sneaking away for a late breakfast. :thumbsup2

'Ohana is our favorite breakfast, too! I just like sitting and not having to get up. PLUS---I love, love, love :lovestruc that juice
!

OMGoodness!!!! That juice!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had heard about it, and thought, could it really be that good?...it was better!!!

The book I have is volume 2, but I don't think I read anything about them not always being part of the ride, at least not in the volume I have. :)

I really like his books---Lots of fun information. We've carried them in the car before on our way to Disney, and we'll quiz each other! A family of Disney nerds! :rotfl:

This family of Disney nerds has volume 1 and we'll get vol 2 when we've gone through all of this one. Miren likes to quiz us at the table after dinner. :)

"If you had wings, if you had wings, if you had wings, had wings, had wings, had wings..." That was a family favorite when I was a kid!! My parents being of the non-thrill-riding set, as well. ;)

What AMAZING pictures you took!! I must know what kind of camera you have.

Your family is beautiful--looks like you enjoyed yourself in MK!:goodvibes

OK, I'm joining in really, really late. Lots of catch-up to do, but I loved the last few pages! GREAT photos!!!

Thank you so much for posting the Hub Statues. Add me to the list of people who just found out about them. A friend of mine went for her family's first trip to Disney in June, and I spent a lot of time with her going over tips and advice. She was a great student! Appreciated and understood everything I told her. Anyway, when she returned and was talking about her trip, she told about her favorite photo, holding mini-statue Chip's hand ( or was it Dale). I'm like "What statues???"

Somehow I have missed these on every trip. Your photos were wonderful! I'll definitely have to check them out next time.

Awesome pictures!
I love the parades. :cool1:

While I did enjoy seeing MSEP again this summer,
there is something that just gives me chills when I hear the Spectro music start up. :)

Great update Michelle! We never stop for the afternoon parades or the castle shows so it was nice to see your pics :goodvibes

I took pictures of all of those statues in the hub in May, it may have been my TR that you saw them on - aren't they cute?!

:lmao: At Kevin stopping to take pictures of the leaves on the trees, but like Kathy said that may be a good way to talk him into another trip :thumbsup2

Great update! We love Dream Along With Mickey. The kids want to watch it every single time they hear the music start (even if they've already seen it that day).

LOVE all the pictures! I don't think I realized how many of those little statues there are! I'll have to look for them next time.

What a fantastic update! You guys are really covering a lot of ground and getting a lot done. I just adore those little statues, too. They totally get me in the Disney spirit. :goodvibes

Great update!

I always like to stop and watch a bit of the Castle show if we're in the area while it's going on. With those characters blinking it makes it hard to get a good picture of them with their eyes all open! :lmao: Great shot of the fireworks in the show! :thumbsup2

If we put in eight hours before the first required day, we get an extra hundred dollars. :) When we go back, our stuff is in a pile in the middle of the floor, as they have pulled everything out into the hall to clean and wax the floors. It is not hard to spend eight hours unearthing the desks and putting our tubs, books, and centers where they belong.

Wow! We don't get any money for our classrooms at all.:sad2:
I went up there today ready to work and they wouldn't let me. Said they hadn't shampooed the carpet yet. I asked when and they told me sometime next week maybe.:confused3 I leave for the beach on Thursday so I guess I won't be getting much done early this year. I'm not happy one bit!

Wonderful update Michelle! I love that parade! We didn't watch it this last trip because we saw it in April so I loved your pictures. Isn't the castle show cute? We've seen it several times but not lately.
I have an antenna topper on my car right now that looks just like your Mickey bar!

Hope you had a good first day of school!

All caught up after all our busy-ness!

Your photopass pictures are fabulous! What a beautiful family!

I'm glad you had a good time at the beach despite the oil! How terribly sad! I like the kids shirts though!

Sounds like you had a great morning in MK! We really like breakfast at Chef Mickey's too! Definitely better then dinner!

Sounds like you had a great afternoon at MK too! I love all your pictures! Especially the last show picture!

But! Then it's like you have a little bit of Disney in your yard!!! :thumbsup2

How about trees that look like those? I wouldn't mind a Mickey and Minnie "tree". ;)

Now, some trees like these wouldn't be bad at all! ;)

I enjoyed all the pictures of the parade, show, and statues. You had a full day at MK.

Thanks ! :)

What a fun day at MK! I haven't seen the 3:00 PM parade in about 5 years. It's on my list for next trip. Beautiful pictures.
I don't think we had watched an afternoon parade since they were in "snowglobes" This one is really cute.

Great update. Love all the cute statue pics. I think I need to plan and see that castle show.

Cayley and Avery would love it!:thumbsup2

How old is Reid again? He and Connor would get along great -- he loves Pokemon on the DS, too!

He's 7, almost 8. He used to be obsessed with Mario, but has moved on to a new, strange obsession with Pokemon, now.

"If you had wings, if you had wings, if you had wings, had wings, had wings, had wings..." That was a family favorite when I was a kid!! My parents being of the non-thrill-riding set, as well. ;)

:thumbsup2 I love it!

What AMAZING pictures you took!! I must know what kind of camera you have.
Thanks, Katie! :) I have a Canon Rebel xSi.

You will have to check them out for yourself on your next trip! :)

I have a link for each update in post 2 ! :thumbsup2

Spectro starts my heart to singing! :goodvibes

It may have been! :) They really are cute!

LOVE all the pictures! I don't think I realized how many of those little statues there are! I'll have to look for them next time.

Thanks, Julia! :)

What a fantastic update!

I just adore those little statues, too. They totally get me in the Disney spirit. :goodvibes

Thanks! :)

As if any of us around here need anything to get us in the Disney mood!

With those characters blinking it makes it hard to get a good picture of them with their eyes all open! :lmao: Great shot of the fireworks in the show! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: I know! Poor Mickey had his eyes closed in nearly every shot!

Believe me that the firework shot was pure luck! :)

Wonderful update Michelle!

I have an antenna topper on my car right now that looks just like your Mickey bar!

Hope you had a good first day of school!

Thanks, Stacy!

First week of school is finished now! I think I crashed last night and slept 8 hours straight through!

Your photopass pictures are fabulous! What a beautiful family!

Sounds like you had a great afternoon at MK too! I love all your pictures! Especially the last show picture!

Thanks! :)

An afternoon at MK is always a great one!

Sorry if I'm dragging now with this trip report. We started school this past Monday, and as all my DIS co-teachers know, it is hard to get back into the swing of things. Now that one week is down (and just 35 more to go! ), hopefully things will settle down, so I can update (and catch up with y'all's TRs, too) more often!

After we finished watching the last castle show of the afternoon, we decided to part ways for a short while. Elizabeth wanted to look in the shops of Main Street, but Reid and Rachel wanted to ride Haunted Mansion. Kevin went with Rachel and Reid, and I stayed with Elizabeth.

Let the shopping adventure begin!

These were very tempting to me---

IMG_1425.jpg

But, I did not succumb to temptation!

Thought these would be so cute for a little girl, but I don’t think I’ll be able to convince Elizabeth or Rachel to wear one of these now. ;)

IMG_1427.jpg

Why do I never buy a set of these? :confused3

IMG_1428.jpg

We wandered into the art store and looked at some beautiful things! Some were expensive---and some were very expensive!

Loved this one especially! I think I could find the perfect place for this in my house during Christmas!

When we came out of the shops, we were stopped by music…..and another parade!

We grabbed a seat outside City Hall, and waited for Kevin, Rachel, and Reid to meet back with us. Since we had used a table service credit that morning for Chef Mickey’s, we were just planning to eat counter service for dinner that evening. I had thought we’d leave and go back to Beach Club, and maybe walk over to EPCOT for some good CS. BUT, my group had other plans when we all met back together. :headache: It was almost 6:45 p.m., and everyone was hungry then, and didn’t want to wait. So, we decided to walk over to Cosmic Rays and grab some dinner.

After enjoying our dinner and “free concert”, we sat, relaxed, and some of us just goofed off!

IMG_1452.jpg

IMG_1453.jpg

It was decided that we wanted to walk over to ToonTown.

IMG_1461.jpg

We decided to miss the walk through on this trip. We were headed to try to see the fairies---Tink, to be more specific! This was a request by my teenage girls, so I was more than happy to let my big, old girls see some characters if that’s what they wanted! :)

Since it was so late, I was hopeful that the line wouldn’t be too long! Silly Me! It seemed like that line would only move every five-eight minutes. We wound up standing in line for over forty minutes! Finally it was our turn, and of course, we promptly forgot how long we had been waiting, and how tired we were! ;)

IMG_1465.jpg

Tink signed our picture mat.

IMG_1466.jpg

IMG_1467.jpg

This is just a pre-cut picture mat that I bought at Wal-Mart. I had different characters sign it during this trip. I’m putting it in a frame with a family picture from during this trip.

IMG_1470.jpg

(The girls said he was just a little “different.”) :rotfl:

Here are some photopass pics from our visit with the fairies. I think the fairy borders on Photopass are some of the cutest. :thumbsup2

By then, it was almost nine o’clock, so we raced to the hub to try to grab a spot to watch “Wishes.” We made it with about ten/fifteen minutes to spare, and actually got a pretty good spot.

I love all the colors of the castle---
