Disney Dining,DIS Meets, and WAIT-Why is that lady holding..... FINAL THOUGHTS 11/27

Great update, I love all the pics from the shops, that art store always has beautiful stuff- but just so expensive

I'm jealous you met the fairies! We didn't get to in July... I had totally forgotten about them until I got back home. Oh well, next time for sure (:

I love this picture- it came out really nice!

Great update!!! I love all the pictures from the shops, especially the D&B purses! I'm considering getting a wristlet when I'm down there, but I don't know if it's going to annoy me, having something hanging from my wrist all day! :confused3 :rotfl:

Everything from the art store is so beautiful...I think I only went in there once recently, in 2008, I need to spend more time in the shops!! :)

How cute that the girls wanted to see Tink! :) What did you guys say to her, if you don't mind my asking? I always want to get my picture taken with the princesses or the fairies, but I feel too stupid because you actually have to talk to them, and I don't know what to say!! :rotfl:

I love your pictures of Wishes, you got some great shots! What kind of camera do you have? I can't figure out how to get good pictures of fireworks on mine and it drives me crazy!!! :upsidedow

Hi Michelle! Hope the beginning of school is going well for you. :)

Loved the MK update! The fairy line is SO slow. But 40 minutes is less than what I waited (though that was right after they started doing the fairy meets but still). Cool idea to have the picture frame mat signed!

That Princess and the Frog picture is beautiful. :goodvibes

Loved the whole family shots with the fairy (not sure which one)! Great idea to get the photo mat signed. What a great souvenir. Much better than just the book.

Your firework pictures are great! I still can't take decent firework pictures. Even with my new fancy dancy camera DH gave me for Christmas. :confused3 Although it works better than my old point and shoot.

I teach too. :teacher: This first week back has been soooo hard. I made everyone go to bed early after our 3rd day and collapsed on the couch for a nap after day 5. I don't think the first week back should be a full week! Too tiring!

You got some great castle pictures during the fireworks. My Tink pics flying always end up looking like yours. :)

Speaking of Tink, 40 minute wait is good. For my DS's birthday trip (age 3, March 09) he decided he wanted to see the Fairies again, we had seen them the previous November, during MVMCP.

Well this time we ended up waiting close to 2 hours. He feel asleep in the line, and of course it was really close to meeting them, when he feel asleep. But he woke up fine and enjoyed seeing them, so all was good. I love the extra time the fairies take with the families, but I really wish that line would move quickier. I think they need two Pixie Hollows, just like how they have two or even three rooms at the Judge's Tent to see Mickey. But of course there is only one Mickey ;)

Beautiful Wishes photos!!! What settings do you use on your Canon XSI? We have the same camera and I always like to compare fireworks settings.

Your Main Street pictures made me giddy. In just under 3 weeks I'll be shopping right there! :hyper:

Love the pictures of the kids at Cosmic Ray's! :rotfl:

Brooklynn has this dress. It is too small for her now, but Bella will have her turn in a couple of years. It is very cute!

I always enjoy your updates. Loved seeing the fireworks pictures and would really love to be down there watching them with all my children tonight.

I have been resisting the allure of those D&B purses, too. I really, really want one.

Mmmm, those Main Street Confectionary treats always make my mouth water. ;)

Love all the silly pictures at Cosmic Ray's and that your girls wanted to go meet Tink! It just goes to show we never completely grow up. :goodvibes

Wishes is a wonderful way to end the evening!

What a great update! Those dresses are very cute! And all those yummy treats. We love Wishes!!

Great update, Michelle. I love the pictures of Wishes -- you got some great shots. I can't wait to hear about the "unhappy" teenage girls with an early morning ADR.

Your pics with the fairies turned out awesome and I love the pic of Minnie's house..it looks great.

Can't wait to hear more:goodvibes

Sounds like a fabulous evening in MK! I love all the shopping pics! I actually have the DB tote! I bought it in January as a birthday present to myself :lmao: They have across the body mail carrier bags now! I really, really want one of those! I'm hoping I can convince DH to buy it for me in October!

That Fairies line is insanely long and torturous! We waited well over an hour last Oct! UGH! But DD really, really wanted to see them so we sucked it up and waited for her!

I love all your Wishes pictures! There fabulous! WOW!!!! They're making me get that excited feeling for October!

Very cute pictures at Cosmic Ray's!

I already told you on FB, but your Wishes pictures are spectacular!

Have you seen the new Princess DB purses? Those are tempting me even worse than the Mickey/Minnie ones.

Great pics with the fairies!! That Tink is adorable-- I feel like 40 minutes isn't that bad!
Those Wishes pictures are really beautiful!! I can't believe you got such an amazing spot so close to the start of the fireworks!

Your shopping trip looked like fun! Did you guys buy anything?

Great Wishes pictures! Wow! :thumbsup2

What a fantastic update! I need to set aside time one trip to go all by myself and just enjoy the shops of Main Street alone. I never get to browse with the boys on my heels complaining the whole time and Mom and I didn't make time to do it - guess I need another trip :thumbsup2

Your fireworks pics turned out really good! I'm curious what settings you used too.

Great update, I love all the pics from the shops, that art store always has beautiful stuff- but just so expensive

I love this picture- it came out really nice!

Thanks, Sara! :)

I hear you on the art store---lots of pretty stuff, but most of it is out of my spending limit.

Great update!!!

What did you guys say to her, if you don't mind my asking?

I love your pictures of Wishes, you got some great shots! What kind of camera do you have?
Thanks! :)

You know, I can't even remember what we talked about. Seems like Tink was pretty talkative on her own. She asked a lot of questions, like, "where are you guys from", "did it take you long to get here", etc.

We have a Canon Rebel xSi. I'm not so talented, so I shoot on auto mode all the time, and it's nearly impossible to get a good fireworks shot doing it that way. My husband took those shots, and he set it all manually.

School is off to a great start, Sarah! Thanks for asking. What about yourself?

You're not the first person I've heard say that 40 minutes is not that long compared to their own times. I guess we were lucky, and just didn't know it!

Great idea to get the photo mat signed. What a great souvenir. Much better than just the book.

I hear you on that first week. I hate starting on a Monday. It wipes us all out. I made it ok until Thursday evening, and then I just crashed around 9:30 p.m. that night.

I know what you mean about the camera. I shoot on auto mode on our DSLR, and it's just too hard to get a decent firework shot, unless you shoot manually. I could get better shots on my point/shoot digital camera. But now, DH, shot the firework shots on manual mode, and they turned out great. :thumbsup2

YIKES ! Two hours?!?!? I agree that while they are so popular, two or three rooms would be a great thing. OF COURSE, there is only one Mickey! ;)

Beautiful Wishes photos!!! What settings do you use on your Canon XSI? We have the same camera and I always like to compare fireworks settings.

Your Main Street pictures made me giddy. In just under 3 weeks I'll be shopping right there! :hyper:

Kevin took those, and he looked at me like I had two heads when I asked him if he remembered what settings he used! :rotfl:

I'm excited just thinking about you, Henry, and Joe being there in a very short while. :)

Brooklynn has this dress. It is too small for her now, but Bella will have her turn in a couple of years. It is very cute!

I remember saving those cute little outfits for Rachel after Elizabeth outgrew them. How far apart are Brooklynn and Bella? My girls are 27 months apart.

I always enjoy your updates.

Thanks for saying you enjoy my updates, MeMom. Yours are always so entertaining and I enjoy reading them so much, so it's a compliment for you to enjoy mine! :goodvibes

Loved seeing the fireworks pictures and would really love to be down there watching them with all my children tonight.

Awwwww, me too, me too!

IWishes is a wonderful way to end the evening!

Yes, it is! :goodvibes

What a great update! Those dresses are very cute! And all those yummy treats. We love Wishes!!

Thanks, Mary! :) I love it all----dresses, treats, and Wishes.

Great update, Michelle. I love the pictures of Wishes -- you got some great shots. I can't wait to hear about the "unhappy" teenage girls with an early morning ADR.

Thanks, Kathy! :)

I have to give the props to Kevin---He took the firework shots. He's the photographer in the family. I just take pictures!

Your Wishes pictures are beautiful. I just can't get the night picture taking down very well. I have read stuff everywhere and most of the tips say you really need a tripod, but I'm not going to carry a tripod around :lmao:. The fairy pix are great too :thumbsup2.
